I looove how Mangemangeroa sounds, if I was from there, I would be finding excuses to say it allllll the time! Plus look at that beauty! Oh, you know because I have been telling you the comments, lighthouses are a dream for me, I would love to visit them all in the world. There is a place in Spain (Galicia) that back in the middle age and the renaissance times, called Finisterre (meaning the end of the earth) was believed to be, well, just that, the end of the earth as most people believe the earth was flat. Anyway, there is an incredible lighthouse there, and there is a gentleman playing the bagpipes and it is just the best place on earth for me. Hope one day we can either show you or you can go and remember this.

Fond memories of Mt Eden . My father was born in Grange Rd in 1927 . My Great Uncle and Aunty lived in Marsden Ave all their married lives . Both houses are 1920s California Bungalow style with stained glass bay windows . Beautiful . And of course Eden Park is the spiritual home of Auckland rugby and happy hunting ground for the All Blacks 🙂

Hmm.. for covered picnic spots which are free you could go to Cornwall park where they have rotundas that you can sit at (although with the current situation not sure if they block them off). The Auckland botanic gardens and longbay regional park has some covered areas too from memory 🙂 also where we went in a recent vlog Tawharanui.. in matakana where w ate the sandwiches there's a large covered seating in that area too next to the water. Plenty of spots around 😊 Hope you find one you like!

Only in certain areas is it actually bad like especially in south island west coast.. Milford Sound.. Hokitika. Most places you won't even notice them.
What about Mt William, South at the border to Waikato. And the Goldi Bush walk way, Mokoroa Falls. Mercer Bay Loop Walk and Comans Track...Duder Regional Park, Kawakawa Bay, Cornwallis Beach. Just to name a few more hidden secrets of Auckland.
I can't believe Auckland is a city with 1.5 million inhabitants. That's the size of Brussels, and there this kind of video would go: avoid the south and the west because you'll get mugged, the north is for people who don't want to be associated with Brussels and the east is for the 1 percent so you're not really welcome, but at least there's a nice forest. Sharing this video with a friend who lives in Remuera!

But that phenomenon attracts thousands of spectators, so it tends to be very busy. If you ever want to visit Brussels, the old center is very beautiful (mediaval, mostly), and there is quite a lof of art nouveau and at deco architecture in well-preserved state. Just avoid the edges of the city and keep your money in a safe place at all times.
We tend to get this warning in a lot of countries we go to 😅 but generally we carry like $70usd max on us on a day out. Only the camera gear is of major concern.
