Leadzanger Piet Veerman met zijn super zuivere en bijzondere stem was voor velen een idool. In die tijd was er veel goede en muziek, die voor altijd blijft hangen in je herinnering, maar de Cats waren en zijn voor mij de absolute top, onvergetelijk!!!

My parents immigrated to South Africa after the war 1946. I visited the Netherlands in early 70's and heard their music in a record shop. Bought every LP , liked it so much since then. now 2018, years later and living in Mallorca I play it all the time.....I get tears in my eyes when I think of my long history, love for my parents and their music. I think you have to be a sensitive and passionate person to appreciate the Cats. Their music is very deep.

My mom learned this lullaby when our cousin used to sing it to his daughters on family camping trips. In turn my mother used to sing it to my sister and I when we were children. I then sang it to my children and I now sing it to my grandchildren. We are now working on four generations.
When I was a kid in the 1970s we had a small radio station. My mother used to play songs and she loved sentimental songs. Her favorite band was the Cat especially Marian and Lea. I used to sleep close to her when she was playing the songs. They are all gone now. It reminds a memory that will never fade away. May Allah bless my mother in the heaven.

I first time heard this song back in 1977 when I was 6 or 7 y.o as my late dad used to play this song with his black-disc. Till now I think I'm so proud being one of many fans of the cats, I always sing one or two of their songs in many special occasions... Just awesome.

My mom learned this lullaby when our cousin used to sing it to his daughters on family camping trips. In turn my mother used to sing it to my sister and I when we were children. I then sang it to my children and I now sing it to my grandchildren. We are now working on four generations.

When I was a kid in the 1970s we had a small radio station. My mother used to play songs and she loved sentimental songs. Her favorite band was the Cat especially Marian and Lea. I used to sleep close to her when she was playing the songs. They are all gone now. It reminds a memory that will never fade away. May Allah bless my mother in the heaven.

I'm reading Sinaed O'Connor's memoir which she wrote in 2021. It's July, 2023 and she died a handful of days ago. Her dad would sing this to her before bed. I wish we all would have paid proper attention to Sinaed. Perhaps she would still be with us. I pray she rests in peace .

The cats is one of the best bands that ever existed. I am 44 years old. And this music was played when my father was 18. So i grew up with it and still love it. Every year my father and i go to a performance of the tributes of the cats band and every year we look forward to it. Its really amazing
