This trailer really just confirmed that Zenos is a standard XIV player; he's obsessed with his WoL and his main is always whatever the new melee DPS is, he even went out and has a fancy modern outfit for his glamour.
He's also the hardcore player. Grinds the hell out of the game every patch, complains when there's nothing to do and that he's bored. Seeks more hardcore content that pushes the boundaries of difficulty even further.
i actually agree, but more on the lore level. he is what your character COULD have been. he is constantly trying to drag you down to his level, for that one fight...and he's willing to do whatever it takes. i honestly think that's what makes him terrifying. he doesn't care about anything else, whereas ur WoL cares. he knows this...and whoooo man he's going to use that against us Dx

But back to the source he goes back to his more youthful form. Only 5 or so years, but some five year stretches hit harder than others.

Think that is the movie version of the "First Beast" from Amaurot. Also for the dragon Estenien was riding, he called the name Vtra. (notice it had only 1 horn, first time seeing that on a greater dragon)

As someone who really got into FF as a kid with FFIV(well, it was called Final Fantasy 2 on the cartridge)...seeing a paladin on the moon made me feel things I didn't think I could still feel. I'm really glad I've decided to give XIV another shot with some buddies of mine.
I love how the SB portion of the theme has some Linkin Park 'Numb' vibes. Also Estinien & Nidhogg off finding the other 2 bros, MAYBE MIDDY WILL FUCKING WAKE UP DO YOUR JOB DRAGONDADDY

I think everyone noticed but some of the face animations were kind of scuffed, probably because of Covid and all, but the WoL in the end seem to have improved. Also that monster on the moon was the first boss of Amaurot, the First Beast, so I guess those beasts are on the Moon which is supposed to be Zodiark's body
I found this interesting actually, that Terminus beasts would bother with the moon- unless its to start chewing at the weakened Zodiark. I mean its his rules keeping the full brunt of the Final Days at bay and he's been weakened severely. The more they can wear him down the more of their buddies can burn the planet.

Then in Heavensward he was a Dragoon, and in Stormblood he was a Monk and a Samurai. This sequence was run through in the Shadowbringer's trailer before he finally became a Dark Knight. There was a brief bit of the 1.0 trailer where he was shown carrying a sword, but that was a Greatsword (Which is a weapon 1.0 never got around to getting)
