I think the full trailer gave even bigger "We're going to Disneyland" vibes with the inclusion of that Pictomancer reveal.

I watched this live and it made me super hype, but rewatching it, Krile's part revealing the new job along with the gorgeous music almost made me cry. Lil lady has come so far.
Especially coming to this after 6.55.

Won't lie, when Endwalker first launched I never would have guessed Erenville would become such a key character. Good for him, really.
Edit: To address replies at once, I meant I didn't expect him to be a "key character" past Endwalker. I figured he'd, like many, remain in the region he debuted in and only pop up on occasion in future content.
That's funny because since they focused on him a lot in the sharlyan portions I was expecting him to be more important later on
Psions needed their/our gatherer representative. Tataru is for crafters.
He makes sense as a character to bridge the gap between Endwalker and Dawntrail. We are travelling to new lands, and as a gleaner, he has done a lot of travelling to other lands. Whether he continues to be relevant beyond that remains to be seen.

we were due for a new caster and range. im only disappointed in a new melee dps(even if im going to use it lol)

Going pictomancer follows the theme for this graphic update and Dye update. This is an artful intervention also FFXIV will likely have to get creative in the coming years to keep engagement going.
With Krile becoming a pictomancer is kinda funny cuz Krile Baldesion first appeared in FFV, and the pictomancer job appeared in FFVI.
When I seen Estinien face off against a huge creature and then it cut to them flipping giant slabs of meat. I was like "OH SHIT, MONSTER HUNTER!?" FF14 and Monster hunter have been consuming my life.
As a Dragoon-main i appreciate the little detail of this trailer showing Estinien boosting his initial jump with Aether.

the hint was *both* and thats how they got us. it was a dual wield (viper) and it was a painter.(pictomancer).

Krile looks AMAZING! This trailer was so fun and wholesome and light and colorful that it actually made me feel suspicious that we're all about to get emotionally destroyed again.
Of course we're about to get emotionally destroyed. It happens every expansion! But I'm strangely here for it!
Well they have said in the past multiple times that at some point the Scion's are going to be divided, so that's properbly when it's going to get darker.
Emotional Destruction is Natsuko Ishikawa-san's MO. To not expect it gives her too much credit. It will happen... It's just a matter of WHEN.
With each expansion, FFXIV continues to be far more superior then WoW !

I think a lot of FFXIV players will be messing around in the Dawntrail benchmark when it releases, bc of the graphics change, and ofc bc of female Hrothgar! I know I will!

i love how they had tiny variations in the first half of the trailer, then backloaded the 1-2 punch of pictomancer/krile and female hrothgar; such a great reveal technique
also love how the WoL looks stoked in his fight with the big guy, largely light hearted and having a good time trading blows
while i look forward to the various serious themes/tones in the future, i'm big time down for the vibe of 7.0. plus, i want plenty of time to fall in love with hrothgirl, however you spell her name, because i can already tell that that's exactly what i'm going to do
Yeah, this is one of the rare trailer fights where WoL look like he's enjoying himself, really look like more a sparring match than a death battle to decided the fate of the world. Pretty much like the Lyse Fight in the Stormblood Trailer

With the Free Fantasia given with the Graphic update we'll see a lot of Hrothgal indeed and the new jobs being the most played would be coherent, they look cool and everybody would want ot try them, even more with the lat pack of hype who'll come from the Job Action show in a Live Letter before the release (And of course seing the new things on the old jobs too, always a big hype moment for me)

I’m honestly real happy with how female Hrothgars turned out, and I’m definitely going to have fun with both Pictomancer and Viper, because I’m really into art myself, and finally get to use freaking swords as a dps, frick yeah. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m hyped for all of this. Also, G’raha Tia and Eistinein will be my home boys to the end, they’ll be with my Viera gal all the way!

I'm not hyped for this expansion. It is the only expansion that I will not buy in the pre-order. "The best summer vacation of my life" is not what I'm expecting from a FF game.
Oh please. You know damn well the "summer vacation" theme won't last even one-quarter of the way through the main story before world and/or universe ending peril ensues once again. lol

@@leandrof.m6112 I think you're reading into it too much. It's not really a theme and more a vibe really they're trying to give out right now. The whole story is not going to be an anime beach episode because that just wouldn't work on people. An upbeat vibe doesn't mean we're not getting the usual FF drama etc
Pictomancer is a giant meh. I would have rather had something less flowery and cutesy, and more badass, like Geomancer or whatever. There's still no quake spell in XIV since ARR, and that would be perfect for Geomancer (Conjurer even had quake in 1.0 though and it was removed later.)
Well really I would rather have more tank and healer jobs, but Squeenix apparently don't care about those playstyles anymore. FF7 SOLDIER job anyone? Don't tell me "we couldn't have Soldier because Dark Knight is already the two-handed greatsword guy," because Viper is redundant too. We already have Paladin, Gunbreaker, and Samurai, which are basically all one-handed sword jobs, and there's already Ninja for a dual wielding job.
I agree with this! I'll play Viper for sure but not Pictomancer! I hate the 2D look of the spells! They pushed Green Mage big & it's not in game! The Beastmaster as Limited stinks too! Pictomancer should be the Limited Job & Beastmaster a regular DPS/Caster job!

This is just a remake of ffxi and 2nd expansion. New Jobs are so mid. Cool, a new race. The trailer brings like zero excitement to me.
