ok, olivia got me curious. she may have been referring to celion dion as the artist who was given "deeper than a river" first. i like the comment below about recovery and NGBTO because they both contain olivia's harmonies. i had wished she made a comeback after this album or "the rumour" but life happens.
I Want to be Wanted should have been a hit. Deeper than a River would have been a top 10 in the 70s. But, I see we all disagree, which is why none really excelled. :) Livy is beyond amazing
Funny what you say about I Want To be Wanted and Deeper than a River. The first one is a tune from the 50's the second one was a brand new song at that time. You should listen to the single mix , it's so uptempo and definitely very 90ish.
richardhanna....as far as Im aware her father passed away and her diagnosis all came in the same weekend (whilst on vacation with her husband) i hardly think she recorded anything within such a time frame....
