How long will it take for this to look trashy and why would they want to leave when it’s free and they are totally being taken care of??? California just as ignorant as always!!
I want 20 billion dollars of real housing because that's how much taxpayers paid in funding for one year. That doesn't look like we got our monies worth.
Were you aware that there are people in New York with apartments that size that also don't have their own bathrooms and they have to pay rent to live there? If working people can only afford a space that size then there is no reason why a freeloader should have a problem with it. They should appreciate what they get for free, the things they were never willing to work for.
I sure hope the US taxpayers aren’t footing the bill. The reason these people are homeless is because they choose to partake in drugs, and not work period.
Who else do you think is footing the bill? It's taxpayers money the local government is throwing away. Someone in charge is just adding a line to their resume for another promotion, that all. Nothing new here. What city and county must do is built a psycho wards and lock 'em crazies up instead enabling their psychotic behavior and drug addiction. My proposal will immediately clean our streets up, and those "freedom loving homeless"who still have any brains left will have to seriously re-assess their drug cravings and will quickly remove themselves from the streets by going back home where their came from or will be forced to seek real help to get off drugs and start living a life not of some entitlement but of a responsible, law abiding, tax paying citizen.
You know what would be nice, if the cost of living goes down and buying a home wasn’t too high. Then everything would be alright, however it’s not, and I’ll leave my question at that.
I would personally like to thank Sacramento for helping to solve the homeless problem…..in San Francisco. The real way to solve San Francisco ‘s homeless problem is exactly this. Make it more attractive elsewhere. Thank you.
@@MarcusLeonard307 I'm 100% serious. Reducing homeless population is achieved by providing resources in neighboring cities - not providing help within the same city. That would make the population grow.

Tax deductions for any money used in preparing the room. I believe it would create a safety net that people who were about to hit the street and still have a job could utilize. It could also stabilize the housing market and make it more affordable for everyone. It's just like the fact that we don't tax groceries at a grocery store. Has to be a bottom level where people aren't being taken advantage of and are allowed to live to a certain level. Homeowners that have were built a tiny home that they rent out mother in law cabin or RV pad that's built to specific area codes should qualify. Just think of all the benefits our society would gain from this safety net to catch potential homeless people before they hit the street. Let's turn off the tap !

Sticking some one in a box out of sight does not solve the probelm people ....how many of us would feel dehumanised in this situation?peoples surroundings have everything to do with morale and self worth .Speaking from experience of homelessness tiny home living van life and a regular home ....people need morale support to climb out of trauma and addiction.
I hope this experiment works out better than building the “projects” did.
Waist our taxes money
I love this! I am inviting all of my homeless friends from Washington. I love how I can live and get feed for free in California. Please build more, and please make them bigger.
🤣
😅😅😅
hope this all over us
You are unbelievably selfish
Nice dramatic entrance by the reporter hiding between two units and surprising us.
They need to keep up building more tiny homes campus for homeless and unhoused people all over the areas to get them back to their feet, and help them find jobs
These are not tiny homes....they are very small sheds aka "Pallet Sheds"...at probably 5 times the cost of a similar Home Depot shed...and at just under the cost of an entry level steel panel 8x16 tiny home on wheels (with its own bathroom, shower, cooktop) etc...but why let that get in the way of a good story....8x8 Pallet shed is approx $11k?....they have to be incredibly profitable for the shed builder...with a real tiny home they would be mobile and re-useable.....unfortunately the tiny home industry does not have much of a budget to lobby politically...
Do they have one for seniors?
Now mass produce these tiny homes.
Thank God! It is a start❤
Mercy Housing ha sbeen doing this for over a decade. I worked at MLK Jr. Village in South Sac. These facilties tend to become like prisons. Dope, prostitution, assualt, burglary, robbery, extortion, rape even murder.
LOOOOOL Sorry
It's the people themselves who are the problem.
And For Tiny Homes
Homeless Shelters In
San Francisco, California. 2024.🐉
Give it a couple months.. You'll see homeless outside this homeless project. The homeless with homes will complain about the homeless in front of their homes. Homeless
Sort of messed up for other homeless people out there because there is so many homeless people with ur waiting list u need more then 200 there is 1000. Or more homeless people because cost of rent u need more low-income apts housing wow more wasted money
This is a good thing, just hope they don't get booted out for the free loaders that are coming over here.
I swear this is the most dumbest thing for families that lost their homes & jobs due to the high cost of housing in America. The banks & politicians live in their mansions while the working Americans suffer.
Now we need affordable housing for the next 2 steps up. Until we get that it will be hard to move out in under 2 years
They say temporary! 🤣🤣🤣
Sooooo how are you going to make permanent housing affordable so they can actually afford a place to rent????
What a joke. How long will it take for this to look trashy and why would they want to leave when it’s free and they are totally being taken care of???
California just as ignorant as always!!
3 months later, how is garden shed dope villa working out?
Whose grand idea was this little gem? Wonder how much taxpayers had to pay for this brilliance 🤨 🙄 🤨
Newsome is spending 30 million for 1200 tiny homes. Someone is getting rich off that one.
@@mtnride4930 that's always their m o!!
Looks a prison with cells. Like to see Newsom and steinberg to spend a week there
you want to build them a hotel or something?
I want 20 billion dollars of real housing because that's how much taxpayers paid in funding for one year. That doesn't look like we got our monies worth.
Better than tents
Were you aware that there are people in New York with apartments that size that also don't have their own bathrooms and they have to pay rent to live there?
If working people can only afford a space that size then there is no reason why a freeloader should have a problem with it.
They should appreciate what they get for free, the things they were never willing to work for.
This is great. I personally believe these houses will be destroyed within a short time.
99 percent of them
Tiny jails
You want to pay more taxes to build them palaces?
...looks really prison like.
Not as good as a jail cell. It comes with a toilet, sink, 3 hots and a cot.
i will move to california to live in those cabin
You know what would be nice, if the cost of living goes down and buying a home wasn’t too high. Then everything would be alright, however it’s not, and I’ll leave my question at that.
WHERE ARE BATHROOMS ??? CAN SOME ONE TELL ME
I would personally like to thank Sacramento for helping to solve the homeless problem…..in San Francisco. Thanks for making your city more attractive to homeless so that our population to finally see some shrinkage. We’ve been making it so great that the homeless have migrated here non stop increasing our numbers. Hopefully your effort will reduce ours as they flock to Sacramento.
The real way to solve San Francisco ‘s homeless problem is exactly this. Make it more attractive elsewhere. Thank you.
This made me lol. Good one
@@MarcusLeonard307 I'm 100% serious. Reducing homeless population is achieved by providing resources in neighboring cities - not providing help within the same city. That would make the population grow.
@@Funcentric I see... It looks like a waste of tax payers' money because the homeless who choose to be homeless and are not junkies are as much of a drain on society as the junkies who destroy and reek havoc all day. If they aren't a junkie, this may give them housing, but it needs to be a temporary step, but they don't want to work or have responsibility. If it's a junkie, they can't benefit from housing and instead need drug/spiritual intervention. JMHO
FEMA CAMPS THREW OUT CALIFORNIA😢
I think this is great house plus services to get people on their feet, but the homeless have to want to change. If they don't want to change, kick them out.
Update?
Question: Why is it that individuals and politicals insist on stacking financially stressed people into projects? (Money over dignity has proven over and over again to be an abject failure over time.) It may give those who make the desicions feel good but unless there are better transitioning assistance out of cramped quarters failure can be projected. The history of cramped quarters in small spaces exposes stress. Humans under stress more often than not act out and behave badly.
I agree with you and having worked in Real Estate & with HUD the best option they can give people are Section 8 Vouchers instead of these "FEMA style" camps like this. The problem is the backlog the Section 8 Voucher program has in many Cities that can be as long as a Decade which is insane.
where are the restrooms ?
Kelvin Harris
I am proposing that you sponsor a bill that will allow any of the 230,000,000 homeowners in this country. Allow them to rent one room in their home completely and totally tax free.
Give these people jobs to do in order to supplement food costs and pay for their tiny-home. They should be exhausted at bed time like the average citizen!
Needle park 😮
A field of Dreams moment. " Build it and they will come".
GOOD LUCK! 👍
No shelter
Not supposed to be shelter
That’s suppose to be Permanent housing
You can be run away kid

Sewer water???
FANTASTIC😂👏, THIS SHOULD.BE HAPPENING EVERYWHERE. THE.GOVERNMENT SHOULD.HELP THESE PEOPLE... Have.gardens for.food.
Wait why does this look a lot TanForan and I’m not about the racetrack or mall… or I thought Newsom closed all the prisons..
I suppose it is a start but I would like to see a toilet/shower included in each.
This is what we need in every state that homelessness is a problem
We need these for the growing homeless in the UK.
This will turn out great!
Right?!!?
Unbelievable insanity has taken over!!
They are spending on this more than a regular house construction and they will be demolished within one year.
It will be trashed soon after opening ....
They need to have regulations on cleanliness of the property and unit so the homeless don't turn it into a trash dump.
It will be a drug slum before long.
@@daisydukes8252 No stopping that, and they should limit them to one person only not two.
How much did this cost the taxpayers?Who will get rich from it?
How long before it looks like a camp under a freeway...
Although lots of people are down and out, this just gives the government more control (pandemics, climate rules, banking, 15 min cities, ect. ) not worth it.
It will only be a short time before these people destroy these buildings.
Thats not gonna work.
OMG what happened to my home town. This is a waste of taxpayer money. The homeless are 100% mentally ill with subsequent drug addiction. This will not do anything. We as a society need to bring back the mental hospitals. That is the real help these people need. First get them clean and sober then treat the mental illness.
The government takes our money from us forcibly and throws it at people who could care less. We work hard every day for our money and this is what they do with it..
