Yes, if that's affecting you and your biting your gums and can't sleep on the one side, it's a real problem. I'm glad you just didn't settle and say nothing. I wish I would have known about the dental board. My partials are awful, made by DDS. I had a year warranty but when I kept complaining, they only tried adjusting. I finally told them to send them back. They were very expensive. NOPE, they wouldn't. That's been several years ago now. But ty for sharing this info so that others will know. Hope you got your money back for the tops, also. 🌷

And furthermore for all out there watching, never, ever go to a chain dentist store, like Aspen!! They should all be shut down!! If you can find a lab that will do dentures and bypass the dentist, you will love it!! Hard to find though, but worth it if you find one.
Wow! I'm a dental assistant and I think the dentist needs to get a new lab! Also with our office if the lab sets the teeth inaccurate they will refund/remake the prosthesis.. Not sure why your dentist was being so difficult..
I jus ask the lab to remake, the dentist can tell, he’s just not doing anything about it. At the end of the day, denture is denture, it’s the cheapest way to fix the problem, nowadays all one 4 is the most common way of dealing with the problem, especially at your age.
I just had this issue!! My dentist and I agreed the denture was not anywhere near what the wax try in was so my dentist sent for them to be completely remade no problem at all!!
They recommend that you remove your dentures before bed. I seriously don't trust dentists right now and believe they should all dine on bullets. I went to DDS Dentures+Implant Solutions in Harrison AR. And got 24 teeth removed, my immediate dentures where crooked and misalined leaving my jaw shifted to the left side and looking disfigured. I mentioned that numerous times for 6 months and they ignored me every time. Finally they rushed to finalize my dentures and I mentioned it once again, when they came out they didn't fit for shit but one of the assistants still insisted it was me as I over heard her mention to another assistant. That place sucks and they should be permanently shut down, they refused to listen to a word I said and I finally got them to refund me after I returned their shitty dentures. I've been seeing a local Dentist and after a couple months and finally receiving my permanent dentures, the center line of the teeth on my upper is off to the left by at least an eighth of an inch , they don't achieve any suction and the bottoms don't attach properly to my Implant locators. I'm seriously thinking that all dentists are incompetent and are seriously full of shit!
Wow! These look like what I ended up with!! I lost my teeth to systemic lupus and long term steroid use. I ended up going to our dental school in my city. When I finally got my finished dentures & they put them in....they fell out! No suction....no nothing. I told them they had to have mixed mine up with someones else's - but they assured me they were mine. So they added more hard plastic to line them & try to get them to fit which only bulked them up and made them even more heavy. Not only that but the gums on these dentures isn't pinkish - they're a purple hue.......looks like I'm deprived of oxygen when I smile!! Don't get me started on the bite....my bite is completely crooked and off and the upper does not line up with the lower. They look very similar to the photos you shared at 3:38. Also I've never in my life had an under bite and if anything I had a slight overbite with my natural teeth. Well I have an under bite now! A severe under bite thanks to these awful ill fitting, ill made dentures! Matter of fact I caught a glimpse of myself eating, chewing one night and I was mortified at what I saw. My bottom jaw now resembles an extreme Gomer Pile....not criticizing his looks because Jim Neighbors aka Gomer Pile is was a wonderful person. But I wasn't born with that kind of severe under bite. This under bite happened because of these awful fitting dentures!! Needless to say I will not eat in public or in front of anyone I don't know anymore. Even the way I talk and the way my mouth moves has changed. When I talk and try to pronounce certain words my mouth moves in this distorted way combined with the severe under bite to boot....well it ain't pretty. My self esteem has plummeted and I'm almost glad we have to wear masks today due to Covid just so I can hide behind it when I talk to others. Why haven't I gotten new dentures? Simply because I did not have the money to invest in high quality dentures. However I am actively right now searching for a good dentist. I want well made dentures this time around....and not some ill fitting garbage that looks like they were made by a 5 year old they set lose in a dental lab. So that's my story of my really bad, shoddy dentures that I've been stuck with for quite some time now. I can't wait to finally find a reputable dentist who can get me some dentures that fit correctly.
That's awesome that the GA Board of Dentists responded to your complaint so quickly. I too had to get a new set of immediate dentures in my 2nd week because I couldn't drink out of a cup or close my mouth properly. Can't wait to see your new smile!!

I’m on state insurance and just picked up my dentures. There were teeth missing from the color shade so I didn’t get to see what the one I chose even looked like. I would have chosen the whitest ones. Mine are also crooked. My boyfriend is getting money from a lawsuit and is going to buy me the snap in ones and I’m going to a better dentist next time.
just wanted to share, a dentist had dentures made for me, what a nightmare. Why do we have to go to a Dentist, why can't we go straight to a dental lab, I believe its the dentist taking the impression that's screwing up... and especially when your on Medicaid and Medicare.. I was told that I have to wait 6 months or more to have them made AGAIN, Meantime, I am in pain day and night. I will listen to your story again and see if I can use it to get help.
That is great news..I am so happy for you.It is so disheartening when you get denures that are just wrong on so many levels.I pray that your next ones work out for you.Good on you for being persistant!I am on my 2nd set and they still are not perfect but I found a new denturist who is really good now.I wasn't able to get a refund since the money didn't come out of my own pocket as I am on social assistance right now.But they r much better now and it makes all the difference as far as I look and feel about myself.
Eskimo Girl if you're on social assistance you need to contact them and let them know they shouldn't pay that dentist or for the dentures. They shouldn't get paid by anyone for anything.

Wow! I had the exact same thing happen with me here in NC. I was so angered by this dentist and the denturist in his office. They were all telling me that I was wrong and that I had to deal with it. If it weren't for all the videos on here, I would not have known. He tried to make me look like I was a crazy fool. The dentures were so crooked, my bite was off so bad, I couldn't swallow with them both in bc they would choke me. The bottoms were going down the back of my throat. Anyway, I am going to go the board here and complain. Thank you for this video..I have spoken with other people that are having issues with their dentures from the same place. He is billing our insurance, getting paid and handing out crap to us patients. It's not right. He is taking advantage of us. Good luck to you hun. Please keep me posted. My dentist was telling me the exact same thing that I had asked for large teeth LOL. Mine were to the point that I could not even close my lips, eat from fork or a spoon nor can I still chew. I pray the new ones are a lot better.

Im going through a bad situation with my denturusts too. I paid $3000 for these and they don't fit and I look like ape. Mine bottom are crooked. I've lost bone. I wasn't part of the decision making process. These look nothing like my teeth did. I can't eat with them. Im so unhappy. thanks for making this video!
You should be able to eat with them. By now the dentist should fix it for you. No denture will have look like your own natural teeth. They won't function as well as your natural teeth. I was fully aware of that before they pulled mine a week ago. Right now I don't have any dentures. So eating is definitely different with no teeth. Hopefully in several months. When I get dentures. My gums will have gotten healed enough. So it doesn't take as long. For me to get used to eating with them. Both my husband and myself. Had salmon patties and potatoes. Some green beans. Neither of us had problem eating.

Mine aren't even on top either. Where my cleft sits dont aline with my 2 front teeth. I also feel I have monkey and horse mouth. It's awful. Not having the 2 front teeth center makes me look so funny.

OMG I really need your help on how you reported him. I'm just two weeks out on my transitional dentures but my bottom midline was way off. They did not want to redo mine so they mutilated my top denture to align with the bottom. And now both are off the midline now. It's so so imbarraising. And I got the premium deluxe top of the line denture. I can't believe they won't fix them
And I am a senior grandmother raising my three grandchildren on a fixed income. It took me saving four years to finally get them. This is utterly heartbreaking for me
I'm getting the run around so I may be having to do what you did. I worked as a registered dental assistant for about 16 years and I guess my dental office where I got these dentures do not realize that I know cheap shabby dental work and nor will I stand for it.
I had the same problem with my top plate. I had my denture made at Atlanta Dentures located in Marietta Ga. My front teeth was way off from the cut out place....finally one of the dentist that works there half ass fixed it...I will NEVER go back there for anything....by the way, if anyone gets dentures, PLEASE ASK FOR PEOPLE WHO'VE RECOMMEND THEM ALONG WITH A GUARANTEE......Angel Davis

I don't know what you were told, but I was told you're not supposed to sleep with your dentures in. I have jaw pain too because of my lower partial. No one seems to want to help. Will be going to the dental board in my area soon. Someone needs to do something.

I was scared into getting dentures! Told my bridge could break at any time!!! He said he'd seen it happen over and over again! I got upper dentures I did not need!!! In pain all the time now they want more money to align them. They are cheap and ill fitting - this has changed my whole life for the worst!
Wow I’m going threw something similar thank you because your dentures look like mine and I have implants and I just got more implants on my right side because my dentist had me see a specialist because I have weak bone on my right side and before I got the implants on right side, I kept biting my cheeks and I had sores., I hate my dentures and they are crooked. I thought I was being picky at first and I second guessed myself and then my sons noticed my teeth were crooked plus my was a n pain and couldn’t eat cause they moved so much! And I had trouble talking so when I complained he had a specialist work on me, it’s been a year and all together I’ve been going threw hell I developed an infection after the surgery and my dr put me on 875 mg amoxicillin and it cleared up! But I’m still walking around without teeth! It’s been a humbling experience so say the least! But I go 2 more weeks to see dentist and I hope he doesn’t plan on fitting abutments in the denture I hate cause I’m not going for it! I want a whole new implant denture! Thanks for your video cause you opened my eyes! That I don’t have to keep this poorly made denture!
Im currently waiting on a refund for 2 weeks now, I paid $814.00 in cash and the other $300.00 with debit, they refunded the debit back to my card the same day, but told me I would have to wait for a check because I paid cash, which makes no sense to me, who can I call beside the office I went to?

Wow! Where did find dentures so inexpensive? I got my top plate a month ago and it cost me $1100. Not counting extractions. Still have to get bottom ones, and I am soooo not happy with my top plate.
Amazing video Deborah Adams. I see the problems with the upper denture. Your midline is off by a few mm although the frenum is not always 100% in line with the front two teeth. Yeah, I support your point on the wearing of the teeth, if they are cheap quality, they don't last long. I was laughing at how off the ridge your lower teeth were, good on you for noticing that. I saw no point as to why your front teeth were in cross bite with each other, unless your mouth was in crossbite itself. Any how, a lot of dentist don't have the know how to assess these things, they mainly reply on the lab technician to finish the work. I'm glad that he gave in and refunded your money. Remember that cheaper is not always a good thing. No one is going to do you a favor, the cheaper guy will use cheaper products, unless they're giving away free money. Cheers!!

I had all my teeth pulled and I have top and bottom dentures been having problems March 29th I got them went back since October 2018 they don't fit the bottoms sit on top my gums and the top r to big my mouth is full my blisters I'm in so much pain they giving me the run around never go to LSU at University hospital in new Orleans

I had implants put in about six years ago. The denture never fit correctly from the first day. They would rock back and forth. They fell out about a year later. The dentist put new ones in later and they also fell out. He never told me why.I wrote him a letter asking if he could possibly refund part of my money since they never fit in the first place. He called three weeks later, and told me he would make me false teeth at no charge, and never mentioned the letter. I had already paid him nearly $40,000. Too much for false teeth. I haven't bothered to talk to him since. I'm wondering if anyone has had this experience. And wondering if these mini implants would work.I think the statute of limitations is only two years, so I may be out of luck.
We real dentists call mini-implants "temporary implants" because they fall out so regularly. Better two regular implants per arch than four mini-implants any day of the week.
I am curious to know if you went to a private dentist or did you use Affordable Dentures or Aspen Dental? I am gonna be having all of my teeth extracted and a healing denture and then I will get a new set about a year later. I am really scared and I am spending a lot of money to have this done ( I had to borrow the money to be able to have it done) I am also having my Torus mandibularis removed or shaved down so that the bottom may fit better. I'm in Louisiana and mine are almost the exact same. my bite is SO off & the lining is SO different on each side I've only had mine for 2 1/2 weeks just got my soft liners Friday I had 26 extractions with temps put in immediately. I went to DDS Dentures & Implants Solutions.
Natasha Hawkins I'm in Georgia but I've gotten so many comments from people all over the country with horrible temporary dentures. I know exactly how you feel. They were so bad I couldn't eat, I was choking on food because I couldn't chew it and sores from biting my cheek. I'm surprised your dentist did a soft liner already. He definitely knows there is a problem with your dentures. Did they charge you for the soft reline? My dentist tried to tell me my problem was because my gums were swollen. Well that's not true because I have tried to put my first pair of dentures in and they are still VERY uneven. One side still sits up way higher than the other side and it's been 9 months. If I were you I would keep going back until they are right. Hopefully they will continue to work with you because you can have an even bottom plate. Please keep me up to date. Best wishes!
Deborah Adams They told me from the beginning that I would get a soft liner after 2 weeks so that wasn't because of any problems and I am SO glad I have the soft liners they are more comfortable it's just that like the left side on the bottom is thicker inside so it rubs more & all the back teeth top & bottom seem small & they just do NOT line up so my bite is off & I have a gap in the front when I bite down I have to make myself bite down in a certain way to make it look right & it's like the back keep the front from coming together it's weird. and you can see the way they are just bulky on one side on both top & bottom when I take um out & look at um. I've seen other video's that say when they get the permanent one's in 8-12 months they are slimmer & teeth are even longer but I was told THESE Are my teeth but yes the lining will change as my gums heal & I go in every so often for fittings and no I don't pay anything when I go in for adjustments or when I got the soft liners. and was told I do get my permanent in 8 months. so IDK I just need to be honest with them tell them I don't like the way these fit and make sure I understand what I will get with the permanent to. now the teeth ARE VERY PRETTY & White I guess my natural were a little longer but I didn't have any when I went in just a few bottom ones but the were broken no enamel I couldn't believe when they started falling out. I had excellent teeth. but because of a very progressive form of rheumatoid & osteoarthritis I was told it may affect my teeth I have also had my jaws replaced because they had began to decay. I had a tooth fall out biting into a candy bar one day & it was like a domino effect they just all fell out within 6-8 months. then it took almost a year after to come up with the money to get the dentures with insurance so I just kept making payments until I got it paid. Omg! What a horrible irresponsible dentist! And that he wouldn't help you? Ridiculous! I just got my new upper dentures. And when I go in with any sore spots or issues, they take care of it. I had my soft realign and it was so messy and coming up in one corner and that space In between the front teeth for the flange up on the gum, they blocked it and it was cutting me. They saw me right away and fixed it beautifully. I just go in if there is an issue and so far so good. I love the soft realign. But they told me not to soak my dentures over night. Just 10 to 15 minutes. So sorry about what you went through and now I know who I can call if I were to have any problems.

There you have it , she can't sleep with the 'bottom Denture on' Patients often don't even understand the fundamental's of denture wearing all they expect is everything to be perfect. Any practitioner providing dentures should make patients aware that wearing dentures at night or whilst sleeping is not advisable, like smoking it's a personal choice but there are risks and often negative consequences of doing so especially in respect to partial and full lower dentures. Anyone that returns complaining their dentures fall out or dislodge overnight or whilst sleeping doesn't have a legitimate complaint in my opinion. However, if patients are that ignorant and unrealistic it often carries over to their whole expectation it is easier to refund them take the dentures back so they can seek help elsewhere. I had a patient who kept dropping her dentures on the bathroom floor tiles whilst cleaning them , she tried to claim the dentures were not robust enough, she actually presented asking 'why do these dentures break so easily?'
Yes these are not good at all. She deserves that refund. I just had the last of my teeth pulled on Tuesday. I had been having a lot of trouble for several years. So I understood from the beginning. That dentures are never going to be like having my own teeth. They won't function as well as my natural teeth. There is zero chance of them looking like my real teeth. They are hard plastic it will take time to used them. My dentist doesn't do immediate dentures. So I don't have any teeth now. I am able to eat meat loaf and anything. You can cut with fork with no problem. That way my gums heal and I am used to eating. So my gums aren't as sore when. I get my dentures. Perfect teeth for replacement is not ever going to happen for me. Dentures that fit and function. Will happen I have to be realistic and patient.

beautiful dentures..in other countries they make trash like dentures! they can adjust and sew it back for you,if you got any issue with teeth and your mouth.maybe it is not fitting

My mom has five implants for teeth. Four failed within months. It cost full price of $5,000. To have them done again. The fifth one got infected. It had to be removed done again at ful! price. They are not one and done sort of thing. Having pieces of soft infected bone removed. Is not fun and no way. I would want invite sources to take their place. I don't have the money and don't like going to the dentist every six months. My mom has to go three times per year for cleaning. I will take dentures. I do wish they were more affordable for people who want them.
You deserve refund. Also you are supposed to remove your dentures at night. They could become loose during the night. Your gums need A break from wearing the dentures.
I never received a dime from the first dentist. I’m working on getting a new denture. They should be in by the end of March. I plan on getting implants and will start new videos throughout the process.
I am so very sorry. My mom has been happy with her implants. There are risks and complications. But I already explained any issues she had. Just make sure you go with someone who you feel comfortable with. I hope it goes really well for you. After all this you deserve great smile.
Yup having exactly the same issues and when I ask the assitant questions about procedure she tells me "They know what they're doing back there" instead of answering.. I'm about to get my finals and I'm tempted to just request a refund instead of wasting more time
I got mine when I first went on disability, before my excellent insurance ran out. BUT, knowing nothing about dentists or dentures, I went to a "chain" clinic. Hubby and I bought the best dentures they offered. I have had so many problems. They have done a few soft felines, and a hard feline, which is orange looking that blends down into the pink original gum line. That itself looks really stupid. They had to cut my cleft of my upper lip, which was done when they pulled my teeth. My top just doesn't go up high enough in the arch of my mouth to get any suction. My bottoms rock front to back, they do not meet up equally with the upper side to side. I keep biting my cheek and cannot chew but only on one side. I have been using fido dent, but have to keep putting it in about 5 times a day because after a couple hours there is no trace of it left. They offed to put "snaps" in for another $5000. Yeah, uh, no. And I feel like there is too much tooth for my mouth and the uppers have such a severe over bite that I feel like Mr. Ed. I have had them since 2014 and it feels like they are just stringing me along until the 7 year warranty expires.

Wow that dentist sounds like a shady guy, Wouldn't give you a refund now want you to sign a waiver. I will be having a lawyer look over the documents before I signed anything

I think your dentures look fine. You expect too much. They are not meant to reproduce what God gave u. Just something to hold you over. My wife is 62 and she has never had a cavity. I hate her. Not really but she just has no idea. And she looks at me like ...”oh you didn’t floss” “floss this!” It wouldn’t have mattered. Wow! I'm a dental assistant and I think the dentist needs to get a new lab! Also with our office if the lab sets the teeth inaccurate they will refund/remake the prosthesis.. Not sure why your dentist was being so difficult..
I jus ask the lab to remake, the dentist can tell, he’s just not doing anything about it. At the end of the day, denture is denture, it’s the cheapest way to fix the problem, nowadays all one 4 is the most common way of dealing with the problem, especially at your age.

I just had this issue!! My dentist and I agreed the denture was not anywhere near what the wax try in was so my dentist sent for them to be completely remade no problem at all!!
They recommend that you remove your dentures before bed. I seriously don't trust dentists right now and believe they should all dine on bullets. I went to DDS Dentures+Implant Solutions in Harrison AR. And got 24 teeth removed, my immediate dentures where crooked and misalined leaving my jaw shifted to the left side and looking disfigured. I mentioned that numerous times for 6 months and they ignored me every time. Finally they rushed to finalize my dentures and I mentioned it once again, when they came out they didn't fit for shit but one of the assistants still insisted it was me as I over heard her mention to another assistant. That place sucks and they should be permanently shut down, they refused to listen to a word I said and I finally got them to refund me after I returned their shitty dentures. I've been seeing a local Dentist and after a couple months and finally receiving my permanent dentures, the center line of the teeth on my upper is off to the left by at least an eighth of an inch , they don't achieve any suction and the bottoms don't attach properly to my Implant locators. I'm seriously thinking that all dentists are incompetent and are seriously full of shit!

Wow! These look like what I ended up with!! I lost my teeth to systemic lupus and long term steroid use. I ended up going to our dental school in my city. When I finally got my finished dentures & they put them in....they fell out! No suction....no nothing. I told them they had to have mixed mine up with someones else's - but they assured me they were mine.
So they added more hard plastic to line them & try to get them to fit which only bulked them up and made them even more heavy. Not only that but the gums on these dentures isn't pinkish - they're a purple hue.......looks like I'm deprived of oxygen when I smile!! Don't get me started on the bite....my bite is completely crooked and off and the upper does not line up with the lower. They look very similar to the photos you shared at 3:38.
Also I've never in my life had an under bite and if anything I had a slight overbite with my natural teeth. Well I have an under bite now! A severe under bite thanks to these awful ill fitting, ill made dentures! Matter of fact I caught a glimpse of myself eating, chewing one night and I was mortified at what I saw. My bottom jaw now resembles an extreme Gomer Pile....not criticizing his looks because Jim Neighbors aka Gomer Pile is was a wonderful person. But I wasn't born with that kind of severe under bite. This under bite happened because of these awful fitting dentures!! Needless to say I will not eat in public or in front of anyone I don't know anymore.
Even the way I talk and the way my mouth moves has changed. When I talk and try to pronounce certain words my mouth moves in this distorted way combined with the severe under bite to boot....well it ain't pretty. My self esteem has plummeted and I'm almost glad we have to wear masks today due to Covid just so I can hide behind it when I talk to others.
Why haven't I gotten new dentures? Simply because I did not have the money to invest in high quality dentures. However I am actively right now searching for a good dentist. I want well made dentures this time around....and not some ill fitting garbage that looks like they were made by a 5 year old they set lose in a dental lab.
So that's my story of my really bad, shoddy dentures that I've been stuck with for quite some time now. I can't wait to finally find a reputable dentist who can get me some dentures that fit correctly.
That's awesome that the GA Board of Dentists responded to your complaint so quickly. I too had to get a new set of immediate dentures in my 2nd week because I couldn't drink out of a cup or close my mouth properly. Can't wait to see your new smile!!

I’m on state insurance and just picked up my dentures. There were teeth missing from the color shade so I didn’t get to see what the one I chose even looked like. I would have chosen the whitest ones. Mine are also crooked. My boyfriend is getting money from a lawsuit and is going to buy me the snap in ones and I’m going to a better dentist next time.
just wanted to share, a dentist had dentures made for me, what a nightmare. Why do we have to go to a Dentist, why can't we go straight to a dental lab, I believe its the dentist taking the impression that's screwing up... and especially when your on Medicaid and Medicare.. I was told that I have to wait 6 months or more to have them made AGAIN, Meantime, I am in pain day and night. I will listen to your story again and see if I can use it to get help.
That is great news..I am so happy for you.It is so disheartening when you get denures that are just wrong on so many levels.I pray that your next ones work out for you.Good on you for being persistant!I am on my 2nd set and they still are not perfect but I found a new denturist who is really good now.I wasn't able to get a refund since the money didn't come out of my own pocket as I am on social assistance right now.But they r much better now and it makes all the difference as far as I look and feel about myself.
Eskimo Girl if you're on social assistance you need to contact them and let them know they shouldn't pay that dentist or for the dentures. They shouldn't get paid by anyone for anything.

Wow! I had the exact same thing happen with me here in NC. I was so angered by this dentist and the denturist in his office. They were all telling me that I was wrong and that I had to deal with it. If it weren't for all the videos on here, I would not have known. He tried to make me look like I was a crazy fool. The dentures were so crooked, my bite was off so bad, I couldn't swallow with them both in bc they would choke me. The bottoms were going down the back of my throat. Anyway, I am going to go the board here and complain. Thank you for this video..I have spoken with other people that are having issues with their dentures from the same place. My dentist was telling me the exact same thing that I had asked for large teeth LOL. Mine were to the point that I could not even close my lips, eat from fork or a spoon nor can I still chew. I pray the new ones are a lot better.

Im going through a bad situation with my denturusts too. I paid $3000 for these and they don't fit and I look like ape. Mine bottom are crooked. I've lost bone. I wasn't part of the decision making process. These look nothing like my teeth did. I can't eat with them. Im so unhappy. thanks for making this video!
You should be able to eat with them. By now the dentist should fix it for you. No denture will have look like your own natural teeth. They won't function as well as your natural teeth. I was fully aware of that before they pulled mine a week ago. Right now I don't have any dentures. So eating is definitely different with no teeth. Hopefully in several months. When I get dentures. My gums will have gotten healed enough. So it doesn't take as long. For me to get used to eating with them. Both my husband and myself. Had salmon patties and potatoes. Some green beans. Neither of us had problem eating.
Keep going back to your dentist for adjustments. I know my dentist was tired of seeing me but I was determined to have well fitting dentures

Mine aren't even on top either. Where my cleft sits dont aline with my 2 front teeth. I also feel I have monkey and horse mouth. It's awful. Not having the 2 front teeth center makes me look so funny.

OMG I really need your help on how you reported him. I'm just two weeks out on my transitional dentures but my bottom midline was way off. They did not want to redo mine so they mutilated my top denture to align with the bottom. And now both are off the midline now. It's so so imbarraising. And I got the premium deluxe top of the line denture. I can't believe they won't fix them
And I am a senior grandmother raising my three grandchildren on a fixed income. It took me saving four years to finally get them. This is utterly heartbreaking for me

I'm getting the run around so I may be having to do what you did. I worked as a registered dental assistant for about 16 years and I guess my dental office where I got these dentures do not realize that I know cheap shabby dental work and nor will I stand for it.

I had the same problem with my top plate. I had my denture made at Atlanta Dentures located in Marietta Ga. My front teeth was way off from the cut out place....finally one of the dentist that works there half ass fixed it...I will NEVER go back there for anything....by the way, if anyone gets dentures, PLEASE ASK FOR PEOPLE WHO'VE RECOMMEND THEM ALONG WITH A GUARANTEE......Angel Davis

I don't know what you were told, but I was told you're not supposed to sleep with your dentures in. I have jaw pain too because of my lower partial. No one seems to want to help. Will be going to the dental board in my area soon. Someone needs to do something.

I was scared into getting dentures! Told my bridge could break at any time!!! He said he'd seen it happen over and over again! I got upper dentures I did not need!!! In pain all the time now they want more money to align them. They are cheap and ill fitting - this has changed my whole life for the worst!
Wow I’m going threw something similar thank you because your dentures look like mine and I have implants and I just got more implants on my right side because my dentist had me see a specialist because I have weak bone on my right side and before I got the implants on right side, I kept biting my cheeks and I had sores., I hate my dentures and they are crooked. I thought I was being picky at first and I second guessed myself and then my sons noticed my teeth were crooked plus my was a n pain and couldn’t eat cause they moved so much! And I had trouble talking so when I complained he had a specialist work on me, it’s been a year and all together I’ve been going threw hell I developed an infection after the surgery and my dr put me on 875 mg amoxicillin and it cleared up! But I’m still walking around without teeth! It’s been a humbling experience so say the least! But I go 2 more weeks to see dentist and I hope he doesn’t plan on fitting abutments in the denture I hate cause I’m not going for it! I want a whole new implant denture! Thanks for your video cause you opened my eyes! That I don’t have to keep this poorly made denture!
Im currently waiting on a refund for 2 weeks now, I paid $814.00 in cash and the other $300.00 with debit, they refunded the debit back to my card the same day, but told me I would have to wait for a check because I paid cash, which makes no sense to me, who can I call beside the office I went to?

Amazing video Deborah Adams. I see the problems with the upper denture. Your midline is off by a few mm although the frenum is not always 100% in line with the front two teeth. Yeah, I support your point on the wearing of the teeth, if they are cheap quality, they don't last long. I was laughing at how off the ridge your lower teeth were, good on you for noticing that. I saw no point as to why your front teeth were in cross bite with each other, unless your mouth was in crossbite itself. Any how, a lot of dentist don't have the know how to assess these things, they mainly reply on the lab technician to finish the work. I'm glad that he gave in and refunded your money. Remember that cheaper is not always a good thing. No one is going to do you a favor, the cheaper guy will use cheaper products, unless they're giving away free money. Cheers!!

I had all my teeth pulled and I have top and bottom dentures been having problems March 29th I got them went back since October 2018 they don't fit the bottoms sit on top my gums and the top r to big my mouth is full my blisters I'm in so much pain they giving me the run around never go to LSU at University hospital in new Orleans

I had implants put in about six years ago. The denture never fit correctly from the first day. They would rock back and forth. They fell out about a year later. The dentist put new ones in later and they also fell out. He never told me why.I wrote him a letter asking if he could possibly refund part of my money since they never fit in the first place. He called three weeks later, and told me he would make me false teeth at no charge, and never mentioned the letter. I had already paid him nearly $40,000. Too much for false teeth. I haven't bothered to talk to him since. I'm wondering if anyone has had this experience. And wondering if these mini implants would work.I think the statute of limitations is only two years, so I may be out of luck.
We real dentists call mini-implants "temporary implants" because they fall out so regularly. Better two regular implants per arch than four mini-implants any day of the week.
I am curious to know if you went to a private dentist or did you use Affordable Dentures or Aspen Dental? I am gonna be having all of my teeth extracted and a healing denture and then I will get a new set about a year later. I am really scared and I am spending a lot of money to have this done ( I had to borrow the money to be able to have it done) I am also having my Torus mandibularis removed or shaved down so that the bottom may fit better. Who was this that did yours? I'm in Louisiana and mine are almost the exact same. my bite is SO off & the lining is SO different on each side I've only had mine for 2 1/2 weeks just got my soft liners Friday I had 26 extractions with temps put in immediately. I went to DDS Dentures & Implants Solutions.
Natasha Hawkins I'm in Georgia but I've gotten so many comments from people all over the country with horrible temporary dentures. I know exactly how you feel. They were so bad I couldn't eat, I was choking on food because I couldn't chew it and sores from biting my cheek. I'm surprised your dentist did a soft liner already. He definitely knows there is a problem with your dentures. Did they charge you for the soft reline? My dentist tried to tell me my problem was because my gums were swollen. Well that's not true because I have tried to put my first pair of dentures in and they are still VERY uneven. One side still sits up way higher than the other side and it's been 9 months. If I were you I would keep going back until they are right. Hopefully they will continue to work with you because you can have an even bottom plate. Please keep me up to date. Best wishes!
Deborah Adams They told me from the beginning that I would get a soft liner after 2 weeks so that wasn't because of any problems and I am SO glad I have the soft liners they are more comfortable it's just that like the left side on the bottom is thicker inside so it rubs more & all the back teeth top & bottom seem small & they just do NOT line up so my bite is off & I have a gap in the front when I bite down I have to make myself bite down in a certain way to make it look right & it's like the back keep the front from coming together it's weird. and you can see the way they are just bulky on one side on both top & bottom when I take um out & look at um. I've seen other video's that say when they get the permanent one's in 8-12 months they are slimmer & teeth are even longer but I was told THESE Are my teeth but yes the lining will change as my gums heal & I go in every so often for fittings and no I don't pay anything when I go in for adjustments or when I got the soft liners. and was told I do get my permanent in 8 months. so IDK I just need to be honest with them tell them I don't like the way these fit and make sure I understand what I will get with the permanent to. now the teeth ARE VERY PRETTY & White I guess my natural were a little longer but I didn't have any when I went in just a few bottom ones but the were broken no enamel I couldn't believe when they started falling out. I had excellent teeth. but because of a very progressive form of rheumatoid & osteoarthritis I was told it may affect my teeth I have also had my jaws replaced because they had began to decay. I had a tooth fall out biting into a candy bar one day & it was like a domino effect they just all fell out within 6-8 months. then it took almost a year after to come up with the money to get the dentures with insurance so I just kept making payments until I got it paid. Omg! What a horrible irresponsible dentist! And that he wouldn't help you? Ridiculous! I just got my new upper dentures. And when I go in with any sore spots or issues, they take care of it. I had my soft realign and it was so messy and coming up in one corner and that space In between the front teeth for the flange up on the gum, they blocked it and it was cutting me. They saw me right away and fixed it beautifully. I just go in if there is an issue and so far so good. I love the soft realign. But they told me not to soak my dentures over night. Just 10 to 15 minutes. So sorry about what you went through and now I know who I can call if I were to have any problems.
On my uppers I have wearing but that was due to me leaving them in while sleeping and I grind my teeth found out after I broke them the first time.

There you have it , she can't sleep with the 'bottom Denture on' Patients often don't even understand the fundamental's of denture wearing all they expect is everything to be perfect.
Any practitioner providing dentures should make patients aware that wearing dentures at night or whilst sleeping is not advisable, like smoking it's a personal choice but there are risks and often negative consequences of doing so especially in respect to partial and full lower dentures. Anyone that returns complaining their dentures fall out or dislodge overnight or whilst sleeping doesn't have a legitimate complaint in my opinion. However, if patients are that ignorant and unrealistic it often carries over to their whole expectation it is easier to refund them take the dentures back so they can seek help elsewhere. I had a patient who kept dropping her dentures on the bathroom floor tiles whilst cleaning them , she tried to claim the dentures were not robust enough, she actually presented asking 'why do these dentures break so easily?'

Yes these are not good at all. She deserves that refund. I just had the last of my teeth pulled on Tuesday. I had been having a lot of trouble for several years. So I understood from the beginning. That dentures are never going to be like having my own teeth. They won't function as well as my natural teeth. There is zero chance of them looking like my real teeth. They are hard plastic it will take time to used them. My dentist doesn't do immediate dentures. So I don't have any teeth now. I am able to eat meat loaf and anything. You can cut with fork with no problem. That way my gums heal and I am used to eating. So my gums aren't as sore when. I get my dentures. Perfect teeth for replacement is not ever going to happen for me. Dentures that fit and function. Will happen I have to be realistic and patient.

My mom has five implants for teeth. Four failed within months. It cost full price of $5,000. To have them done again. The fifth one got infected. It had to be removed done again at ful! price. They are not one and done sort of thing. Having pieces of soft infected bone removed. Is not fun and no way. I would want invite sources to take their place. I don't have the money and don't like going to the dentist every six months. My mom has to go three times per year for cleaning. I will take dentures. I do wish they were more affordable for people who want them.

You deserve refund. Also you are supposed to remove your dentures at night. They could become loose during the night. Your gums need A break from wearing the dentures.
I never received a dime from the first dentist. I’m working on getting a new denture. They should be in by the end of March. I plan on getting implants and will start new videos throughout the process.
I am so very sorry. My mom has been happy with her implants. There are risks and complications. But I already explained any issues she had. Just make sure you go with someone who you feel comfortable with. I hope it goes really well for you. After all this you deserve great smile.

I got mine when I first went on disability, before my excellent insurance ran out. BUT, knowing nothing about dentists or dentures, I went to a "chain" clinic. Hubby and I bought the best dentures they offered. I have had so many problems. They have done a few soft felines, and a hard feline, which is orange looking that blends down into the pink original gum line. That itself looks really stupid. They had to cut my cleft of my upper lip, which was done when they pulled my teeth. My top just doesn't go up high enough in the arch of my mouth to get any suction. My bottoms rock front to back, they do not meet up equally with the upper side to side. I keep biting my cheek and cannot chew but only on one side. I have been using fido dent, but have to keep putting it in about 5 times a day because after a couple hours there is no trace of it left. They offed to put "snaps" in for another $5000. Yeah, uh, no. And I feel like there is too much tooth for my mouth and the uppers have such a severe over bite that I feel like Mr. Ed. I have had them since 2014 and it feels like they are just stringing me along until the 7 year warranty expires.
