Let me save you 15 minutes: It feels good and at an angle, the keyboard gives the mouse more space to move horizontally if you have one of those XXL mousepads.
I really enjoy content like this that gets down to the science of why people do certain things with their setup and settings. It helps me see different perspectives and different pros/cons of said setups.
I've had a tilt for the last few years depending on my desk and how it is. It used to be tilted Up, left to right roughly 20 degrees when It was more comfortable. I now play at roughly a 35-45 degree angle angled Down left to right for comfort and mouse space.
Same, I'm closer to 20, I have always just naturally pushed my left side of the keyboard up and at a angle when I start gaming. Feels right for the wrist.
@@MONKETR4X not only is that joke not funny, but when you use it so badly like that it becomes annoying. You don’t need to ask me by the way, I’ll give you this one for free.
When you start grinding your favorite game, then you have to adjust the equipment. I used to play on work desk with a drawer. Today.... I put my mouse on another table with my arm on 90° angle and put my keyboard on my lap in order to prevent (or let's be honest delay) arm ache. When you are comfortable and settled with them, you follow those rules in higher levels too! Simple as that! Anybody want to add anything sure can. I'm open for a good conversation!
I find that my key board tilts naturally as I play. I start of straight and as the session goes on my aggressive key clicks rotate it sideways. I find it comfortable.
I remember when I first got my PC, my friend told me to try it and I was like, “Ah that’s stupid” but after playing for a while with my keyboard straight, it just straight up hurt my wrists like crazy after like an hour. And after titling it just a bit, not the crazy 90 degree angles, it relieved all my wrist pain
As someone with tiny hands, keyboard tilt is so useful for getting access to more keys. I can very easily hold down W, Ctrl, Shift, etc. while also using my thumb to press 0 on the top row of number keys, or all the way down to M, L, and P. I can't play games that have lots of binds without being at a 45 degree angle at least anymore. It makes everything so much easier.
Dude I’m so glad you made this video. I was using the 45 tilted keyboard angle during my younger days, god now as I’m getting older, I’m suffering from shoulder blade pain and alignment problems. I constantly felt that my shoulders are imbalance, one of my shoulder is leaning more forward then the other. Because of the pain and discomfort, I am distracted from being able to fully focus on the game. For those 18 years old out there, you won’t feel it now but it will come and haunt you later!
I started tilting my keyboard when I saw that pro players were doing it. I didn't know what it did but I noticed that I was playing better and I was more comfortable. That's how the story went
To me, tilting it that way hurt my wrist more. I tilt it the other way around (counter clockwise) and keep the keyboard far away from me to the right. Gives me plenty of space for the mouse!
Same, got a wrist rest (offtopic but wrist rest is a bad name for these, only my palm is touching it) and it is an extremely relaxed and comfortable way to play. Also got a slight lean back on my chair and haven't really had back pain while playing ever since (21, had bad posture for my entire life, it happens earlier than you think)
"Gaining access to additional keys" can also happen by switching to esdf, or even rdfg if you have a long enough pinkey (oh, and it also adds keys to the left of your hand as well).
It reduces the impingement of the tendons of your wrist, depending on the angle and the buttons being used. May also help reach certain buttons more easily.
I’m only 23 and my lower back is starting to hurt. Youngsters, please focus on your posture. Get a good chair, relax your shoulders, take a break, go for walks and strengthen your core
One of the main reasons why I tilt my keyboard is because I can fit more of my arm on the desk. It makes for a really comfortable posture because I don’t have to hunch my arm back. I use a 65% keyboard and play with it pretty close to my mousepad btw. So my arms are still pretty close together.

as a tilter is feels more comfortable having your forearm on my desk instead of my wrist and i like how my pinky is straight instead of the way of all my other fingers
i always tilt not crazy but enough that my fingers are more straight and less laying to the side it helps eliviate wrist pain and helps my key pushes to be more deliberate since i dont risk slipping up as much
Personally for me, I started playing with my keyboard tilted almost vertically cz I didn't have enough space for my mouse (I play 400 dpi, also low sens in game) So it felt just right to play with my keyboard like that, with time it feels way too comfortable, as this time Kinda hard to play with the keyboard while horizontal!!!
