- Mark Skaife and Russell Ingall have a classic argument on V8 Superstars in Melbourne in 2005. 2 great characters of the sport. Skaife has won everything there is to win in V8 Supercar / touring car racing in Australia and Russell Ingall had played the bridesmaid role many times until he finally took the 2005 title just weeks after this episode of V8 Superstars.
You could tell that Ingall was just having a joke and skaife was taking it dead serious 😂😂

@@cancan8467 he was the guy they chose to be the big holden cock face, the guy they let be the antagonist of the v8 supercars , aka the bull shit Australian beat up on ford show, it was all set up to sell Holdens , its a holden bias jerk off show, ford was never allowed to dominate , if Ford started dominating they would cut ford off , change the competition, buy ford teams out buy fords best drivers crash ford out of the race , penalize the leading ford remove black flags from whincup, penalize Ambrose for not wearing a baliclava because he was about to win Bathurst. A whole bunch of times the leading fords were crash off the track in final laps of big races like Bathurst and championship deciding final race like when rick Kelly blatantly crashed into craig lowndes and took him out to steal the championship from him, walkenshaw told him to do it we all saw him talking with him moments before that happened , now that holden is dead ford is allowed to dominate again but when ford has a dominant team they're only allowed to dominate for around 2-3 years then big changes happen , like Ambrose leaving, and the Ford Vodafone team becomes Holden, and James courtney becomes a holden driver , pffffff wat ever. Shit like that always happens, but when holden has a strong team they are allowed to continue winning for 8 years and shit like Vodafone holden and red bull holden, must remember that was a championship winning ford team , they had to climb up the ladder for a few years until dominating, ford pulled funding because of a major contract breach , it had to have some blue on the car and the ford insignia, rollan Dane team owner is a holden fan but had to chose ford as there was no holden option available, ford also stands for fuck off rollan dane , soon as the contract finished he jumped to holden. And now its been 3 years of Ford dominance with djr penske its time to cut ford off and let holden dominate djr penske team is changing. They are going to allow red bull team to win again, just because holden is finished in v8 supercars, you don't know whats really going on its all about the brand holden and money. Everyone knows ford is a mile better than holden, ford is a international giant. And was built to race, ford Sierra cosworth is the most successful race car of all time, the ford v8 supercars stand on their own feet , Holdens use Chevrolet engines, and always have more than twice the amount of cars In the feild.

@@nhk_racing50 yeh the good side, the badge that's still alive , the one that sounds much better looks much better the team that doesn't have a bias racing t.v program dedicated to it, the team that stands on its own feet and doesn't need to steal the oppositions drivers and teams , the team that doesn't have black flags removed so they can win the championship , the time the black flag was removed was a first in all motorsports history

Skaife on this show was pretty unbearable. The problem was that he sat where he is in this clip & made the show all about him every episode. Clips like this are okay but when you got this all episode every episode it got pretty tedious.
He is unbearable on commentary in the Supercars now in 2017 too mate!
Ingall handled Skaife's heckling pretty well if you ask me. I'm glad he's still racing v8s. I wonder why Skaife doesn't race full time anymore though.

Skaife unfortunately came across as a bit of a smart arse in this segment but you have to admit he overcame the odds a few times to rise to the top. Love or hate him the guy can peddle a car.

I've found Murph's comment with Skaife and Ingall because in 2009 Bathurst Skaife and Murph teamed up and in 2010 Ingall and Murph were team mates at Paul Morris Motorsport.

The irony in Murph's and Ingall's words because in '09 Skaife and Murph drove together at PI and Bathurst and Murph and Ingall were team mates in '10.
He is the bloke who said "someone complained" at 3.52 minutes. Then Skaife said "don't get weird about it" to him at 4.06 minutes.

Was a fan of Skaife in the day until I met him in person at an event where he was a guest and there as a personality, conversed (or in his case "Ive got more important things to do") with him and alot of us couldnt believe his behaviour and words including one greg Murphy who noted from the background what happened and went out of his way to come over and speak to our group and give us attention and directly made comment/joke about Skaifes behaviour.

Actually, they are both pretty good blokes, really. Skaife was under huge pressure at this point, mainly due to business problems with his team. I reckon many other people in a similar position would have slit their wrists. You shouldnt let this snap shot be the judge of either of them, on this occasion. We all get shitty sometimes. Made good TV though, didnt it.
