I have been married to my husband for almost as long as you have been alive. Lol. What I've taken from your inspiration is to speak more kindly which has made a huge impact. I think 30 is an exciting age! I will be 30 in 2 years and I actually can't wait! Whenever I even feel myself even thinking for a minute that I'm getting old I always think of the quote: " Don't complain about growing old. So many people never get the chance!" it's been a really rough year for me and i want to thankyou because your videos keep me from ever getting too low because i see that i have so much too look forward to in the future and that highschool doesn't last forever. My current family situation is not necessarily how it has to be in the future. You've shown me what it takes to be a loving parent which is something no one ever showed me. Such an amazing attitude to possess! Thirty is so very very young, there is so much living to do before you can even consider yourself old. :) My mother had me when she was almost 36 and nineteen years later she is still young to me. Collette, I am turning 30 on June 27th. I had set so many goals to do by 30. Have kids, lose weight, go back to college to become a nurse. None have happened yet. I have chosen to not list this as a failure. I met mu husband at 19 and my 20s were a huge struggle. I am using 30 as a new start. I haven't had a party since turning 21 so I am throwing a huge 30 the party to embrace it and start over towards my goals. Your words inspired me even more. Thanks claudia

So true, Katilette! I just started a new business (Lillys Soap Kitchen on Etsy) and am having a blast with it. You are never to old to try something new. And 30 is still young. Believe me, I passed 30 a while ago and I still feel young. It's all in how you live your life.

I love your attitude about turning 30. I turned 48 in April. It's just a number. I don't feel old and I am doing more thing now then I have done when I was younger. You are only as old as you feel. Have fun. The best time of your life is still ahead of you.
I turned 30 in March I was so scared!!! LOL looking back at it now I realize how silly I was being. I am still the same old ;) me! I loved you saying in the large scheme of things we are really young! So true! Your words today really hit home for me. I have been on a weight loss journey for 3 months now and was ready to give up. I lost my teammate last night in a car accident. He was supposed to graduate from high school today. I will never forget him. He lived every second like it was his last. Thank god he did, only the good die young

Whenever I see you. Which is every day...lol... I always think, "Wow she's not even thirty and she has 4 children!" I just have to remember that I will be blessed when He thinks that I'm ready. I turn 30 in Sept and I agree you are only as old as you feel. None of us are guranteed tomorrow (not even those born today) so there is no need to stress about what getting older means. Live your best life and don't have any regrets!!
I am actually completely surprised, you are SO young, not saying that you look old, you're very beautiful & youthful, but I'm just surprised with how much you've accomplished, (settled down, many kids, husband, set profession.) Hey Katilette! Well I am 47 and I never imagined I'd get this old!! I was married at 23 and had had my 2 sons and a daughter all by the age of 30. It worked out well for me, but everyone will have different paths, I met my wonderful husband when I was 19 and he was 20. Next year will be our 25th wedding anniversary. I love him more than ever :) our children are 16,18 and 21, pretty well grown up now.... My husband and I laugh that we'd better start growing up too!

Been watching you guys for a long time now, and I have noticed lately that you have been talking more an more on eating better, and your decision as a family to eat well. I am very inspired by this and I am actually implementing many different ideas I have been in your videos into my daily eating habits. I am turning 30 this year too and at first I was really feeling bad about how things had happened in my life but now I have a whole new perspective and have really just focused on the future and the new opportunites that are out there.
Collette, by running the half marathon you've inspired me to run too. Im only doing the 5k because i cant even run for a minuet without dying and its too late in the game to build up to 13 miles but the fact that im doing it is a HUGE step for me. Thank you! I love you guys!

LOL But it's really not so bad and like you I became a mom young and I think that helped me feel young because I get to do lots of things that remind me of being younger. When I was younger (I'm 16 now), I used to believe that having kids near my 30's would scare me, because I didn't want to be an 'older mom', but now the idea of having kids near my 30's makes me feel good. I want to get a good education, good job, and good house before I ever think of having kids. Colette, you're like a mother to me (mine has been abusive), and even if you just said Hi to me, it would make my day :]. You're like a celebrity to me lol. I totally agree with you. I had a "goal" of getting married at 23 and then wanting to have 3 kids before I'm 30. One at 25, 27 and 29. That I realized is just ridiculous to plan out! I'm turning 24 in a couple months and close to getting engaged now in a happy relationship with Jay. Sometimes I come close to saying Shay..I watch ya'll way too much!!!

Hello :) I am a huge shaytards fan and I love your families understanding of what it means to persevere, have hope and what love in a family really means. I especially love how open ya'll are with your faith in God. As a christian and in this world it has become difficult to "practice what you preach". I think it would be awesome if you did a cover of a christian song, one of my favorites is lead me to the cross and i believe it would totally pair well with your voice I love you guys :)

Thank you for this video. My fiance and I were just talking about this issue, because he is 33 and I am much younger and I'm stressing out about the time frame of having kids because of his age, and the kids ages, and the future and everything. Kids are absolutely something I want, but everything you said is true and it helped me calm down.
