That was fun, Karen. I love it when it starts out as a hot mess and then you automagically turn it into the most amazing abstract landscape. Great colors and imagination!
Thank you so much! So pleased you liked this one! Most of my paintings start off really loose! I enjoy trying to make sense of them!
Wonderful...Karen...👏👏👏👏👏🎶📽️🖌️🎨

As someone who recently took up watercolor myself, I HIGHLY encourage you to plunge into the deep end! It is SO much fun. You'll make a lot of messes, but you will also make some cool stuff, and you will learn a lot!
Another inspirational tutorial. Thanks Karen.

Looks amazing and fun to try. 😊 thankyou for sharing.
Hope you enjoy 😊
Wow - inner wild child released 😜! I love this -the wax makes a perfect ground for silver birch - that’s a really good discovery 💡. Big thanks 🙏
Definitely!!! Loved using the wax, you can really let yourself go! Hope you enjoy the Brusho version 🎨😀
Love how this came out! I have to try it!
Good luck 😊
This is so beautiful 😍. Eager to try your techniques.
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful!❤
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful !
Thank you 😊
Very enjoyable. I'm surprised that any paint stuck and dried to the wax for those trees. Lovely dappled effect on the trees I presume from the salt. Lovely results.
Thank you Janet. The tube paint sticks to the wax because there was very little moisture. So pleased you like the finished painting!
Really pretty❤
Thank you 😊
Great I loved it, thanks.

I love it!!
Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing this beautiful painting process 😁💝
My pleasure 😊
I love birch trees, such a lovely painting, thanks for sharing. I wondered how you were able to add the dark details to the birch trees over the wax resist? Is it because you are using thick paint?
Thank you so much 😊 Yes it was because I used tubed paint, it has very little moisture so stuck to the wax.
QUESTION: Does using the wax resist make it officially a multi-media piece? What a lovely painting, thank you so much!
Thanks for your question - I would say it’s watercolour mixed media.
@@KarenRiceArt Thank you! :D
Karen, I love your tutorials! I keep seeing your paint pallette with the top shaped like pyramids. I love the way the colors concentrate in the centers. I've looked everywhere for these pallettes but I can't find them. Would you share where I can get one of my own??? 😊❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much. Here is the link to the palette: Loxley Empty Heavyweight Metal Box 16 half pans

People who can't find things for Art work tools can also go to Craft shops and finding things in second hand shops..
Good luck ❤
I absolutely love this, will give it a try this weekend. What can use in place of Brusho. If I purchase some what colors would you suggest
So pleased you love this! You can use watercolour pencils and sandpaper instead of Brusho. Just rub the tip of the watercolour pencil on the sandpaper and allow the pigment to fall onto the wet surface. You could also spatter. Hope this was helpful.
I will give this a try.
2:00 "a bit out of control"😂
For my eyes its a total mess
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
