Definitely Samuel. I was feeling the same at the beginning, but soon, I realized this. Actually, one of my videos tells exactly this: think what brought you on YT in the first place. Is it the money, the passion or a mix of both? If it is the money only, soon it will look like a job and you will start hating it. Try to find a balance between.
What brought me to YT was the passion for videography, smartphone filmmaking, video editing, youtube journey... and that is why I produce my videos, as I like, in my own pace and not with the stress of continuously posting, each week.
YT doesn't need to be race... for me is my marathon and my hobby. As long as you treat it this way, at least at the beginning, you don't need to start felling depressed, anxious and start suffering from serious mental pressure from all the metrics that YT shows at the beginning.
Remeber that, at the start, no matter how much effort and awesome your videos are, NO ONE CARES.
So... take care of yourself, enjoy what you do and do it for yourself. Remember what brought you here, for the first time!
    Cheers.

I try very hard to edit for 4-6 hours every day. I do not understand for whom I do all this. damn, others write that they don't have subscribers, I go in and they have a couple of thousand. And I have 30 subscribers, it's just such a pity, it's just my dream to have at least 100

Using UA-cam as a showcase for your product or service is the sensible approach. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel although I am not a producer just a video hobbyist. Cheers

I started my channel in 2010. It's still not monetized. But there are other reasons than making money for starting a YT channel. In my case i post stuff that i want to share, for anyone who cares to look, or i post stuff which might help people if there are not a load of videos on the subject already, or occasionally i post a few words of life advice if i think that my 75 years in this planet gives me any wisdom. I think the most popular video i ever uploaded was taken direct from a garden security camera that showed impressive shaking during an earthquake. One minute long, no work needed, loads of views! But your advice is indeed very good for those wanting to be more professional in their approach. Just don't give up the day job....

    Solid advice all along.
I wish this was posted when I started my channel.
I do not trust channels that specialize in making a youtube channel. They are too big to relate, and are in the guru zone.

I'd say quality over quantity and that it's a marathon. I only make videos of what I want to do, so "make videos people want to watch" probably should be the most important advice for me@SamuelSotiega

@SamuelSotiega I know that's the next step, but at the same time, I'm learning to make videos. So I'll pace myself and learn to make videos while doing something I enjoy, rather than for the views ; but saying that, my goal clearly isn't to make money from adsense 😁
I went a long way in one year ! 🫡

Congrats on 15k subs, Samuel! I'm glad to be a long-time subscriber of your, always top-notch content. Nice and informative video as always!
Having multiple revenue streams is important. UA-cam pays too little, especially if the audience is from certain countries. I have another channel with 1.3k subs where I used to publish content about education in Turkish. Somehow these Turkish contents get paid so low ($1.15 for a video with 15.7k views, like, what?). I made a live stream about the countdown for the university exam results last year which lasted a week, it got 111k views (4.3k watch hours). At first, the estimated revenue showed around 1k TL ($29), then it got updated to 105 TL ($3). Which is super ridiculous. That's when I quit making content for UA-cam revenue. You're indeed right at 8:26 and 8:42, it's not about UA-cam revenue, it's about using UA-cam to get revenue in some other way. Creating video reviews (maybe sponsored ones), promoting your own products on UA-cam is a much better way to generate income.
I have a friend who growed too fast in subscriber count. He usually publishes and tries various content types on UA-cam. One day, a shorts video of him dubbing got popular so much that the next day his subscriber count gone from around 100 to 30k. He continued on making similar dubbing contents and started getting UA-cam shorts fund. 3 years later, now he's still dubs popular reels/shorts/animations (which I wonder how UA-cam don't give copyright strike for reused content) and has 725k subs. It's good if you have the motivation for consistency but I don't know, I'd have a hard time keeping up that much content without burnout!

Hi Muhlis!! Good to hear from you! The grass always looks greener on the other side. I just think that posting a video every day or even every 3 days is not consistent with a healthy life style. Why do you need to do it so much in the first place. Nobody is going to tell you that they are mentally struggle, because this is not the kind of things you talk about and share. One should only do what one can actually do. Simple. Trying to keep up with other people is impossible because their personal circumstances are different that yours. You need to keep a good work/ life balance, that is essential, in my opinion...
