    Would you recommend flying a nylon or cotton American Flag for daily use? I live in an area where there is moderate to low wind, and I'd love to hear what your opinion on which flag material I should go with. Thanks!

      They are both great materials but in this mods opinion, I'd go with the nylon. In low winds, that flag should weather much longer than a typical user case. Now, if you've got a lot of sun shining on the flag, it might fade faster but the material will hold up.

      Polyester or Nylon will be the best for outdoor use. Cotton will look nicer, but the coloring won't last as long so it's usually better for indoor/seasonal type uses.

    Which material flag is better to fly at highway speeds on a truck..?

    • @Flagandbanner
      @Flagandbanner  3 роки тому +2

      Most customers tend to go with the tough tex material as it is more of a heavy duty material.

    How long does a tough tex flag last in real windy conditions

    • @Flagandbanner
      @Flagandbanner  2 роки тому

      Good Afternoon, It is really hard to put an exact time on any flag since we have no idea the wind and temperature conditions year round, but if you properly maintain the flag and take it down if the weather gets real rough a good tough tex flag should last 24 to 42 months. Most can be repaired once or twice by an experienced seamstress, which will also extend the life of the flag.

    Whats more heavier?

    • @Flagandbanner
      @Flagandbanner  11 місяців тому

      When dry, they are all pretty close in weights with the tough-tex probably the heaviest. When wet, the cotton and tough-tex will soak up more water and will be heavier.

      How do they compare to Valley Forge flags? I can always get huge discounts from valley forge flags. Never bought one. The annin tough tex I have is pretty epic. Lasted a LONG time
      Wish they would sell the tough tex with a pole & light kit. And wish they would make the state flags like tough tex.

    Wish there was a common 3’ x 5.7’ flag with the traditional 1x1.9 ratio. Smallest g-spec flag I see is 5’x9.5’ typically. Sad

      We offer sku US24X46C which is a government spec size 2 ft. 4-7/8 in. x 4-1/2 ft. The pandemic has taken a toll on the flag industry and every manufacturer is trying to keep with demand so this flag has been in and out of stock a lot this last year.

    Where's the hemp flags with three or four grommets
    How come the nylon doesn't have rip stop.
    Or has that been tried in flags and didn't work?
    I just watched a video that said they only last about 18 months.
    That roughly $40 to $50 for approximately 13 flags in a 20 year span or around $600 in today's prices.
    How long does hemp last
    And does the 18 months mean you take it down at night and don't fly in heavy winds or rain?
    Or is that a 24/7/365 flag
    I have yet to see a good review on the durability lasting more than 6 months 🤷

    • @Flagandbanner
      @Flagandbanner  3 роки тому

      Right now, we don't know of any manufacturers making hemp flags. Typically any flag will last 3 to 6 months under varying conditions. If you take your flag down when a storm is coming through (above normal rains, winds, extreme heat), your flag will last longer. A nylon flag will break down much faster than a heavy duty polyester. If you have a shady spot to fly your flag, we find those flag usually have a longer life span, no matter what the material is.
