As much as I don't like having Dragon Stars Cell in my collection since I want to keep my collection mostly Figuarts, the Figuarts Cell doesn't cut it nowadays imo. We desperately need a 2.0 Cell badly...
i doubt bandai'll ever update p.cell, since the imperfect cell is scaled based on p.cell. that means they both are in the wrong scale. 😔 and i cant see the significance of an update if he's still small sized. besides, we've already have 3 versions of him. but who knows? maybe they'll release compact p.cell without effects, like they did with frieza. at this point, i'd be more interested in semi-perfect cell & be done with cell saga.
We need a knew wave of beefed up DBZ figures. Starting with Cell, Freeza, SS Third Grade Goku and Trunks in vegeta armor, “you fool” Goku with the windy hair, Shirtless Kaioken Goku, Super Android 13 etc
great video, loved the part where you showed what he should look like. I certainly hope they make an updated sculpt of him and it is my most wanted figure from them. If we don't get it from them I wonder if demoniacal fit would make one...
I think cell is going to be released with a new sculp. It’s with Gohan kid, trunks, krilin, androids (now just 16) Goku and vegeta resurrection of Freezer cloths, those are the figures that still have that old style and doesn’t have the white box.
I think the Premium Color Vegeta is one of the few original figures to hold up well. Sure he’s got outdated articulation but he’s aesthetically pleasing and fits in well with the rest of the gang
He looks damn good and is so much fun to build. Only gripe is his panels start to split apart when you pose him around, but that can be fixed with some super glue so it's a minor nit. And he won't set you back 200 bucks either.
For a classic Dragonball z fan such as myself yes I recently obtained one I do think though need an update is small arms seem week at bicep swivel and looks strange in some posess and out of proportion
precisely, the reason its not worth the inflated price. with so many outdated feature, its hard for me to justify current market price. i feel compelled to share my opinion on this. but i know that many people would still dying to get this on their hand for the right price :)
This is the exact debate I’ve been having with myself for the last couple days. Got the Dragon Stars Cell currently with my SHF collection, and really been debating getting this one but not sure! What’s the chances of a 2.0 over the next year or so 😏
the 2022 roadmap hints at new yamcha cell saga version, he might be renewed, but who knows? but seeing almost all characters in cell saga are already released, the chance is slim, i say.

cannot agree more, imperfect cell and semi-perfect cell needed. but bandai is always need motivating, just like the case of demoniacal released their ginyu force first. i'm half hoping demoniacal would do cell and frieza transformations.

I'd argue the Dragon Stars version is better than this one. While his spots aren't sculpted, I think the height and likeness (including his proportions) are better than SHF. On top of the lackluster face rendering, the purple belly portion is way too long, like he's wearing a halter top. The Dragon Stars version doesn't make that mistake, and the face is pretty good, I just wish they put a thin outline on the irises, it'd make the figures faces in that line look so much better. Anyway my collection is one huge group shot with no duplicate characters, so I'm replacing my DS Cell with SHF imperfect Cell when that drops, even though he's gonna be too frickin' short too, but it's my favorite Cell form.

The cell model kit is a better option than the dragon stars since it has way better articulation and accurate scale

Next year we will be getting a 1st form Cell. So I’d say in about 2-4 years we’ll get a new 2.0 Perfect Cell
