  • It's almost summer here in London, I've been so busy in and out of the salon that spring has whizzed by. My thoughts turned to the coming season when deciding what tutorial to put together for you guys.
    My inspiration for this look was "she lives in the Hamptons in the late 80's and she's wearing Ralph Lauren". Yes, that might sound a little out there but if you watch the video you'll see, we nailed it.
    My Summer Blonde technique is a fast, foolproof combo of foils and balayage, giving beachy sunkissed results with minimal application time.
    Products used -
    Redken Flashlift + Freehand for the lightening.
    Olaplex No1 in both lightening formulas and in my gloss...I never tone without it. Ever. Of course we finished with Olaplex No2.
    Redken Shades EQ Gloss to tone.
    Redken Styling - One United, Hot Sets and my favourite hairspray, Fashion Work.
    We had such a great day putting it together, a HUGE thanks to an amazing team -
    Mateusz - Your slick camera work is dreamy.

    Benjamin - That. Makeup. Though. Perfection. X

    Magdalena - The camera loves you! Gorgeous/sassy/positive as always.

      Mixing of the lightener....? As with most bleach I use a 1:1 ratio with developer.

    Absolute perfection! Wish I could travel to London just to get my hair done exactly like this by you. It's so hard to find someone that knows what they're doing. Every time I gather the guts to let someone touch my hair they ruin it. You achieved the perfect natural sun kissed look on her hair! I love it!

      Maria: I have the same problem. I've spent the past 10 years growing out botched hair cut/color jobs done by "trained stylists" in my area. I once got my courage up to get an "ombre" and left looking like Morticia Adams. Another time I just wanted some face framing layers on my long hair. I left with most of the length chopped off and looked like Keith Partridge from the Partridge Family show (circa 1970). My hair always looks way better when I walk into a salon than it does when I walk out. Can't remember the last time someone actually did what I asked them to do. I think maybe in 2005 or 06 was the last time. I don't know what they are teaching them in "beauty school" these days but it's not good!

    You did explain with details perfectly , but I didn’t get what you did for crown, as you did all hair line with 5 pieces foils each part and the middle with balayage but you didn’t mention for crown. As I can see in finishing ,her crown is done and is not hair natural hair. Thank you

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  3 роки тому +1

      Hi there, thanks for watching.
      The foils - working back to the crown - are woven, standard woven highlights...so they blend.
      Hope that clarifies.

    You did beautifully but…. I personally don’t like to get balayage. I’ve had it done before, but it looks like the hair grew out for months tbh .. I prefer a colour from the root always. I think it’s nice having light hair around your face and eyes rather than below the chin

    • @theworldofcraig
      @theworldofcraig  2 роки тому

      Hi Jordan, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Balayage isn’t for everyone and I’m sorry your result wasn’t what you wanted. That particular video is a technique tutorial - I do take balayage up to the root mostly…you’d probably be into some of the process videos from the last few years on here. Agreed, I love fave framing lights…A LOT! Ha. 👨🏼🙏🏻✨

      @dianapenavic5821 3 роки тому +1

      THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ANSWER.. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!! How long you is the time process... By the time you finish with 20v. The foils that you did first are ready to rinse? Do I have to leave the last foil for 45 minutes working with Vol 20? Then the first foil will be approx 80 minutes... Is this correct?
