I was skeptical about the idea of going back to reel-to-reel machines, but a colleague persuaded me to try Vlad Blad Pro Coil. Now I can't imagine how I managed without them. We have a constant flow of clients in our studio and the efficiency of our work has increased considerably. This is especially noticeable when working on traditional styles.
Glad to see this video. Vlads are the way to go. Especially Aluminum ones. Went back to coils for the very same reasons. Efficiency in our walk in shop is key. Interesting how tattooers gave up on things that work for them in the past. Rotaries are great for realism tho. I guess there are specific tools for each job.
Nice review man! Would you recommend using cartridges with a coil machine? Ive seen people do it but ive never done it and ive always tattooed with a Pen machine so this coils thing is kinda confusing to me. I started tattooing 3 years ago
I went from coil to rotary to DK to acus, and I dont let go of my acus anymore. I ordered a fake DK off ebay and those 60 buckie fakes work as good as the overpriced 1k. Try them out.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Nothing wrong with a real DK, i've had them, they run great but the one from aliexpress are literally running the same.. U can tune it a bit less and the material is a bit cheaper but literally does the same job. Get the Acus already 😝

No sorry ,you got it wrong by saying £575 is good for a coil machine there are better builders who charge far less for coils... Been a follower of your channel since the beginning but this is you blowing smoke up vlads bum because you like his rotary's.
@@Tom-iw7lx lol if you’ve been a follower for that long you know I don’t fluff up my opinion for brands. I’m new to getting back into coils. Idk pricing like I do with rotary. What I said was compared to the top selling rotarys for 3 machines this is a good price.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial imo 600 bucks for a coil is really overpriced, I do agree. Regular coils who work as good as theirs cost only 300. It's the brand you pay for.
@@JOKE485 makes sense. Just like anything else. I’m use to coming from 1,000 rotary machines.. so 600 is a steal to me lol but I should prob look more into other coil pricing. The only other nice coils I have are a pair of Scott sterling and I paid 1800 for the pair. just bought those from him 2 months ago.

@@sushinktattoo1366 honestly rotaries and pens have their place, but for the fundamentals of lining and packing color and black you can’t beat a coil.
