and totally unrelated, if you want to take an unfortunate look at what REAL crazy actually looks like, dig some of this...every day it's something different with this guy....he comes after me, tim pierce, guthrie, rhett shull etc..... crazy is all around us everywhere...i'm so used to it i barely notice it anymore, but this guy has a particularly big mouth and he is extra annoying.
oy...just be careful putting yourself out there people..if you can't handle weirdos you should seriously consider another line of work.

I'm an amp builder and I build vintage point-to-point tube style.. I'm perfectly happy with the sound I get just plugging in. I do have reverb and tremolo built into some amps, a transparent overdrive can be helpful but I also have a tube screamer, and I have a Mike Battle Tube Plex tape delay i sometimes play with. To me when you start turning on too many pedals the tone sort of start sounding less natural but that's just my opinion.

Can’t believe you brought up kids watching saving private ryan. I’m a trombone player in Nashville, (we’ve worked together a couple of times, certain you wouldn’t remember) I’m out with Larry Carlton in Tokyo and on a flight from Missoula to Seattle a kid of maybe 9 was seated next to me watching exactly that movie at 6am. I could not believe his dad was letting him. No wonder we got all the problems we do. Love your channel! You’re an amazing player. First time I heard you was once I subbed a week on a Wynonna tour. My daughter is 20, got her first phone at 18. We were told we were cruel and heartless for not letting her be part of her generations social peers. We stayed firm. Today she is an NCAA athlete, a fantastic musician, artist, and pursuing a double Major with a 3.97 GPA. Not on social media AND has an active social life.

Yeah man. Our kid is ten and she desperately wants a phone. We let her use ours to DJ in the car and she has a little tablet with more controls on it than a nuclear weapons facility 😂. 18, buddy. Once she starts going off with her friends on her own n HS she’s going to get a “dumb” phone. She can call us and the grandparents and play Pong. The worst thing for a teenager, especially a girl is to be exposed to the super-heightened standards of beauty and poor judgment inherent in social media.
      In addition!
I do think it’s important to keep an open dialogue with her about all the weird stuff she’s going to encounter so she doesn’t end up with a Metallica “Dyer’s Eve” scenario. Peace

@501chorusecho Honestly real tough cause the whole album rocks and has a wide variety to offer. But I'd have to say my personal favorite is Formant Trajectories. The boogie on that one is great and it progresses nicely. Runner up would be Bad Cat Serenade.

That tough guy E chord caused a small ‘wow’ explosion in my brain… memories of protecting kids - they begged to get on Facebook… ugh… much luck Tom in this game of attrition … but those boys of yours, they already seem to have a groovy foundation… and a musicians wet dream of toys

Feeling totally blessed to have been able to purchase the album. Already know it was be on constant rotation. And totally agree about trying to protect kids. Fortunately mine had a lot less to deal with back in the day...though, wasn't always so sure about Peewee Herman, but they seemed to get it. How i wish i had had a pop who was smartly protective like you Uncle Larry. And BTW, your mug is loved around here, scars and all.

My Bro, who is 7 years my senior, showed me that way of playing a Gmaj - without the 3rd - about 35 years ago! I never learnt the traditional cowboy chord way, until years later lol. I guess I was a tough guy at the age of 16, but didn't know it!
Lovin' In Stereo so far. I'm only 3 tracks in. It's gonna be on repeat today whilst working. 🎸🎸

In addition to the great guitar work - I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the whomever was behind the drum kit also jumped out of the speakers. You know what, Tom? I am a Midwestern man like yourself (from Indiana), but now living in California for many years. I’m still a Midwestern boy at heart, and I’m going to take my wife and show her where I grew up this fall. then we are going to drive down to Nashville and have some fun as well. This will be around a week after our 30th wedding anniversary. Hopefully, I will be able to visit Gruhn’s guitars and if I’m lucky, see you there and shake your hand. I promise not to be too stalker like, ha ha.

That album is rad Tom, really digging it. The Black Cloud was the clubhouse leader for fav track, but now that one and Corporate Eye are neck and neck. Thanks for making 6+ minute songs. Mini-suites with tons of cool details and movement/dynamic. If I am to trust my ears I am hearing a lot of Tom parts in the right speaker and Guthrie parts in the left speaker. Really well done gents!

Hey Tom, I listened to the whole In Stereo this morning at 06:30. What a beautiful thing. After all the signed cds were long gone. There's a reason for that. Think about it. It's because we Homeskoolers out here are about way more than the music alone. And on the parenting observations, each and every word rings crystal clear and true. That's virtuoso Dadding.

Watching Tom give a free lesson on UA-cam is the magic of the internet, stumbling on someone being mangled in an accident (or worse), is the exact opposite!
