When the lady mentioned about short sentences which can ruin lives. It happened to me. Due to an issue I got arrested at work, marched off to the waiting police car and sent to jail for one month. I lost my job, home and integrity over a 4 week sentence. My only saving grace upon my release was my last wage from that employer. I was able to crash in a B&B until a new live in job in a hotel saved my arse!
@paulthrutner9114 Bloody hell, hardly the crime of the freckin' century ! Glad you pulled your life together, bro and you didn't end on the "conveyer belt" or whatever they called it. Respect and good fortune.
Jesus's loves you, please turn to Him, for your healing and your salvation. Jesus's died for you to save you from hell and to take you to Heaven, where there is no more sickness. He cares for you ❤
Many of the women there have children who they miss dearly. Possibly many of them have also lost children. Lucy didn't just kill children, she killed BABIES. Anyone can put two and two together and know that she's *not* going to have a good time in prison and will have to constantly look over her shoulder.
This case was shocking and probably the worst I can recall since the medical crimes of Harold Shipman emerged 25 years ago. She's had it, still young, lost her life, and no possibility of rehab or hope. Such a narrow existence for such a long stretch must really hit home. She definately deserves it, I just home she is not attacked or is able to commit suicide as that would cheat the families left behind of justice.
She’s never admitted her crimes. She’s caused incredible heartache and yet you would never know by looking at her. At first l thought she must be innocent, but the investigation was too thorough and her parents also suffer. She should admit and give people some closure
Her point of view is that she hasn't done anything wrong. Because she doesn't see killing those babies is a crime. "They would've died anyway" and so on.
Some never admit becouse they are running down the appeals clock. Bamber has denied the White house farm shooting for nearly 40 years. They all think they can turn it around.
There is no doubt that LETBY deserved the max. punishment the law allows . But there has to be something wrong with the prison system, if other prisoners are able to take the law into there own hands to meter out their own punishment on a fellow prisoner. After all , they are criminals themselves. For are they not , trying to justify there own crime, by taking it out on someone worse than themselves. Just my opinion !
What did Rose West do to be judged the most manipulative person if she was so compliant ? I probably misunderstood, maybe it was just all in aid of deception .
Lots of people automatically think that a female is the weaker person in a murder duo. A lot of times they can be the more manipulative one of the pair. Other times they feed off each other.
Psychopathy combined with Munchausen syndrome by proxy is very rare. She should be studied. Maybe give her some extra privileges in return for cooperation.
Munchausen by proxy can be seen as a euphemism for sadism by psychopath imo. She’s got a god complex, she gets high on deciding who lives and who dies, whose lives get shattered etc. If you study this pos and give her extra privileges then you’re giving a psychopath exactly what she wants, now she can’t murder babies 🤮
News flash: September 2024 Twenty four expert neonatologists and statisticians, have wrote to the UK Justice minister, voicing their concern regarding the validity of the prosecution evidence. Both Sir David, MP and Nadine Dorries, MP, have also voiced their concerns and investigating the case.
If, as psychiatrist Dr David Holmes suspects, Letby has Maunchausens By Proxy, she would always have sought out vulnerable people to harm, whether that's elderly people, people with learning or physical disabilities etc. Munchausens can't be cured, so people like Letby will always be a risk to vulnerable people. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to poison other inmates, for example.
I’m so sure Letby’s fellow inmates simply can not wait to meet Letby and give her a run down on how things run in clinky..Many of them might even bring gifts they made themselves from toothbrush handles and other items that can be sharpened..So Letby’s seven consecutively life sentences will be busy with art artwork and writing and she likes writing..As well as singing Kumbaya and avoiding toilet role garrotes and sugar mixed with fresh boiling water.. Great interview..All the best👍
I just wondering if Letby is fully mentally alert person. When she murdered the Babies, she should be aware about consequences of her horrible act.....?
In theory she could. However, the Court would then either force her to attend, or proceed in her absence (which very rarely happens). As she gave evidence in the first trial and continues to protest her innocence, I suspect she would give evidence for her defence again.
I believe the PM is working on a law that will force convicted criminals to appear in court for sentencing and victims statements because of what LL did and the public reaction to it
Anyone else get fed up with hearing ‘you know’. When you’re asked a question it is futile to tell the person asking that they know! Vanessa said it in every sentence.
Probably be a cushy number. Separated from everyone for her own safety, and have own TV,pc,and everything else that her poor victims will never experience.
The women was found guilty and given the maximum sentence allowed , that of a life sentence, so be it. I personally find it sickening, that you should gloat and feel the need for vengeance. After all, it was vengeance that drove this hapless soul to commit these crimes in the first place. I rest my case. It is a pity that you will not rest this case, also.
I agree, I read through all the court transcripts for each day - I honestly do not understand how they found her guilty. I read through all the evidence presented, and there was not a single shred of evidence that possibly tied her to those deaths. All that happened is she was accused and then anything she did was presented as ‘evidence’. She was not once caught, seen doing anything to harm the babies, there is no dna or fingerprint evidence it is all purely circumstantial. I don’t know how she was convicted as in the Uk the verdict must be beyond reasonable doubt - the whole case was doubtful.
@@ingvarhallstrom2306 Statistics don't prove murders and there is no proof that any murder took place at all. There is a damn good story which the jury and public have been fed that suggests there were murders and that Lucy, because she was there, is the guilty party. But proof? Evidence? No. Not a thing. Keep watching. It may take years but you'll see Lucy walk free at some point, and a lot of questions being asked (which they already are, by many) in the future.
So why did she lie in court over 20 times under oath during her trial? Why for example, did she deny knowing what an air embolus was, when just a few weeks previously, she had passed a hospital exam on the preventative measures required to avoid one? Any ideas? Why do you suppose she wrote those notes with "I am evil, I did this" and " I killed them all, because I'm not good enough to care for them". Why would an innocent person write that? Again, any idea? Why might she have had 258 hospital handover notes at home? Why had she been almost constantly looking the the social media pages of the parents who had lost their infants? Why did she write a sympathy card to the parents of one particular set of triplets, with the comment that they "were not here" anymore, when *one* triplet actually survived an attempt on it's life? At the time, Letby was unaware the child had survived. Any thoughts there?.
@@ingvarhallstrom2306 Exactly. The police spent some considerable time structuring a timetable of the events and incidents being investigated at the time. It became clear that one *particular* person was present at *every one* of them. That person was Lucy Letby........

Great interview. Prison staff put themselves at great risk to protect the public. They deserve decent pay and conditions.
Straight talking. No nonsense. Fair. Exactly what you want from a prison governor. Great interview. 🙏
Absolutely - what a brilliant woman!
Great interview, Vanessa's book is brilliant, highly recommended.
I innocently applied to join the prison service back in the day...eternally grateful I never got a response.
It sounds like a hell of a job…
Interesting interview - agree that I wouldn’t trust anyone if I were Letby…
Really fascinating interview. Thank you, both. Happy Christmas.

Could we get people with small offences repairing potholes or litter picking etc instead of clogging up the prisons?
There are community service orders already as a direct alternative to prison.
