I KNOW THE VIDEO IS THREE YEARS OLD. SO WHAT? IT BROUGHT ME BACK. I GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN 1974 AND MOST OF THESE RECORDS WERE IN MY ROOM FROM 1970-1974 BEFORE I JOINED THE U.S.ARMY. GREAT VIDEO!
Very impressive list although I would put in Dave Mason's " Alone Together " in the top 10 , the marble like color lp with the great tri fold out cover. An awesome record that still holds steady against today music .. Still all in all yours is amazing sir.. Greetings from East Texas and still kicking at 69..
Most of these would not be in my top 50 rock albums of the 1970's. But it's all a matter of personal preference, but it is still an excellent list of albums. 👍
I still have a number of these. You can't read some of the writing. Believe it or not Dolly Parton covered After the Goldrush. She also had a song that began with the cords of the first line of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven.
Emerson Lake and Palmer should have been much higher. That was a breakthrough album in musicianship as well as classical and progressive rock. Should have been at least in the top 10😮
The Rolling Stones: 1970 Get Yer Ya Yars out; 1971 Sticky Fingers; 1972 Exile On Main Street; 1973 Goat's Head Soup; 1974 It's Only Rock and Roll; 1976 Black and Blue; 1978 Some Girls. Every one of these should be on this list!!! (Oh just noticed Get Yer Yar Yars out is live and you've specified studio.)
By the some of you,it's the best of 1970.not the entire 70,s.deep purples machine head wasn't even a thought in 1970.kiss wasn't even a band yet.alice Cooper was their stage.welcome to my nightmare was years after 1970.thank you.
Did you ever listen to Parachute by The Pretty Things? It is a masterpiece!
Glad you gave Cosmos Factory the recognition it deserves

What it was like growing up as a Sabbath fan in the '70s
They all hated us.

Чувак, у тебя прекрасный вкус. Мой список более чем наполовину совпадает с твоим ! Long live rock'n'roll
Love this.
Good List. Year of the Cat, Tea for Tillerman and Thick as a Brick should have been included.
Thick as a brick was released in 1972
Buenísimo
I like 15 albums from his list, my top 50 albums from 1970 would be completly different🤥
I've got 30 of these, so my taste isn't all bad. But where's The Beach Boys' SUNFLOWER? Probably their greatest album is a BAND.
Some good albums, but there were more from 1971 that are true classics
Deep Purple: Machine head
Machine Head was released in 1972
Muchos discos y grupos son de segunda fila
Emerson Lake and Palmer should have been much higher. That was a breakthrough album in musicianship as well as classical and progressive rock. Should have been at least in the top 10😮

Just 1970 albums
@@edgarzavala9405 woops...my mistake. I completely misread that as the 1970s. ....What a great list!!!
Detroit Rock City? Man on the Silver Mountain? Tarot Woman? Welcome To My Nightmare?
Beatles again. Great
Why do so many people commenting here consider Cat Stevens to be "Rock?"

비정한 세상.. 피 토하는 음악..ㄹㄹ
Bad company. Every year.
Only 1970( year), bad Company is 1976
Some were good, most sucked.
Led Zeppelin III should have been No.1
Don't forget, it is his taste not yours.
Dont know about No:1, but deserves to be up there in that area
