- We're getting closer!! Here I give a quick update where I'm at with the Project 92 YJ. We remove the alternator and mounting brackets in preparation for 4.0 engine removal.
The Project 92 YJ is a 1992 Jeep Wrangler yJ 6 cyl that I am in the process of rebuilding.

Would upgrading my alternator amperage be worth it? I know it's old but I put LED headlight and taillights a light bar. Should a standard 90 amp 12v be fine?
What size is the nut on the alternator on the top bolt that holds alternator in place.

My 4.2 has a totally different bracket. Is the bracket system that holds your alternator on your Jeep a custom bracket? Because there is two separate pieces to my bracket and it constantly gets loose

why take off brackets?
