The fat tire version you were talking about does not come with the 190cc but it's only the two valve system not the floor valve it's just not going to rev out to 12,000 RPM

I have a KTM 300XC right now and it is a bit much to learn on. Would you consider this a decent beginner bike if I’m looking for something smaller that I’d have more control over? I’m 6ft 178lbs.

No, just buy a flywheel weight for your bike. It will slow the revs down and make your bike more manageable.

honestly the bike is the right size but thats a powerful bike for a beginner... Id say this kind of pitbike will definitely help work on some drills easier than on the 300 and with a much more forgiving learning curve. cant go wrong at the price point either. if you want a trusted alternative a crf230 would be ideal for mastering basic skills that transfer over to bigger bikes.

The daytona is a monster it's faster than any big wheel 85 on the market and it handles lime one 2

Old post so you may have moved on. I would sell or trade your 300XC for a 150XCF. Same dimensions but much lighter and “forgiving.” Most guys over “CC” a bike thinking they are G. Jarvis or Tomac. You will almost NEVER need all the HP a 300 will put out, even in the wide open desert. So you’re just carrying all that metal weight for nothing. Also, any fool can ride fast in a straight line, only the best riders can ride slow and BALANCED in corners and technical terrain. A small bike is just more fun to ride and is MUCH less tiring to ride all day. JMHO

@@apexclip3458 Hey man! Thanks for the response lol, I ended up selling the 300 & bought a 23’ Beta 200rr. Sooooo much more manageable and I’m having a ton of fun on it lol. Feels like a mountain bike with an engine 😂. Not too much power where I’ll get myself into trouble but still enough to have fun and learn technicals

    • @IrnMaiden304

The pitster is already maxed out, right out of the crate no ?, if the CRF is bone stock that means there is room for improvements where the Daytona there isn't really any. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to get a rip on the fat tire model, just saying if that's the case then it is what it is, unlike the CRF which could be more.

@@Joeak74 I've seen maybe 7 190 fat tires, and plenty of 150R's on Marketplace ( used obviously, some way more then others ). I think it's cool that they made a fat tire, and BVC is the only other I've seen making retro fit kits for certain models. @@IrnMaiden304 BVC is doing an awesome job! I'm going to experiment with some smaller sprockets on the rear of the fat tire to get the speed where I want, and it will also get a wee bit more ground clearance for the sprocket. 1st gear is so low you can plow with it.
