Carson Brown built an insane 190cc pit bike build that defies the odds of what you can do with a small bore play bike. Carson walks us through the build that came to life and MXA got to test. JMC BBR Husky 190cc pit bike has well over 300 hours of fabrication into it. It is one of those projects I had been wanting to do for a while now but havn’t really had the chance till now. A complete one-off, hand built, no spare parts bike that we didn’t have to spend months tooling to produce. BBR has always focused on following the Mini Moto Vegas rules on their high-end pit bike builds, which led BBR to many pit bike championships on our BBR V3 race bikes. Since Mini Moto in Las Vegas has dried up, we no longer had a set of rules to keep the bikes small and slow, so it was time to let loose! Some of the Mini Moto rules I especially wanted to break were the ones that limited lengthening the wheelbase and ride height. Those two limitations are what separate how fast you can make a pit bike go. As for the powerplant, we went with a Japanese-built Daytona Anima 190cc engine that we ported and tuned to my liking. We mated the four-stroke engine with a 30mm D-slide Keihin carburetor. The Daytona 190cc engine is popular in the mini-bike world. BBR got to help give input and develop it in the early stages and worked towards a fast high revving type of power output. Plus it is available through a lot of sources like Amazon and Alibaba, and many other small pit bike websites will ship it straight to your door.I have ridden and tested a lot of different pit bikes in my lifetime-maybe more than anyone else. That makes sense, because my dad owns BBR, so I have had the pit-bike world at my fingertips since the day I was old enough to get on a bike. BBR Motorsports is legendary in the pit-bike world for building over the top bikes that don’t just look good, but win races at the highest level. I don’t say this to brag, but this is by far the fastest and best-handling pit bike I have ever ridden. It’s fun to build one-off bikes with no limits once in a while, but hopefully Mini Moto will come back soon and shrink everything down to real pit bike sizes again. Otherwise, we will all just end up on water cooled 450s!

in many ways i do agree with you, i started of with a shit 110 but honestly (aside from quality issues) its just as fun if not more with shit bikes you can really ride the crap out of without any care as riding my moneypit-177cc bike with all the trick shit like italian suspension, bbr frame and all the rest. ESPECIALLY if your friends dont wanna spent thousands on their bike and just go with something more standard. having a group of friends, all on shitbikes, thats a recipie for a good time :D

I know it's been two years but I'm going to say it cuz I'm late. If you live through that era, I'm super jealous. As a man who's rode Street for two decades and then recently switched to dirt, I'm hooked.
I have quite a few bikes and the one that brings the most smiles and enjoyment to my soul is the mini.
I've been contemplating selling the fire blade and my Enduro just to buy a fleet of minis for every scenario.
All that stuff from that era is still available but with such a premium that it's just not feasible. I see gas caps that are no longer made from the early 2000s going for hundreds of dollars. There's no way I'm paying $700 for an extended swing arm, even if the manufacturers Dead and gone

To get them to one off just the frame and fork would be well over 20k 300 hours at a hourly rate couldn't imagine😂😂😂

I would love to see you troll one of Washington's local tracks on an open practice day. OPCC or Straddleline wearing unmarked gear and plastics. You could have a few friends shooting vidio in the crowd to see and hear the reactions. I guarantee someone in the crowd would figure it it's CB910.

There are two types of PitBike. Chinese ones and this ones like BBR, Bucci, TCB Bike, Pitsterpro LXR

@@matteo_245 it has nothing to do with Chinese or a country... ...”pit-bike” is just a term for a smaller cc bike, not 250 or 450.... the name comes from Big Bike Racers in the 90’s and 2000’s used to bring a small bike with them to smash around “the pits” (area outside the track where All the food, Beer, parties, fans, vendors and merchandise is) ...its basically a lil Party Bike lol ...This is still done to a certain extent here in California, except tracks crack down on them alot because The fans bring them too and shit can get wild... you see racers in Golf carts and Side-by-sides alot more now when your in the pits....
It’s still a pit bike... It weighs nothing compared to a regular sized dirt bike

I think the closest thing you're going to get to this bike is buying a cheaper pit bike with Husky plastic but just slapping the bigger 190 Daytona engine into the chassis it already comes with

Looking around £1250 for a WPB 190, Daytona 190s around £1400 brand new, Engines around £600-£700 for either of them.

I would love to learn more about the liquid cooling on the bike's head. That would be something I would love to do to my bike but for now aftermarket oil cooler and fan will suffice.
hehe i have a bbr-licensed frame and ive fitted crf70 plastics on (with the alu frame it really looks like a miniture honda), it wasnt that hard, probably alot easier than the tc85 because it lined up pretty good, only had to make a few mounting points ofc. so a tip is to go that way if you dont want the normal klx on your bbr.
Them foot pegs look like shark teeth, holy cow talk about some grip, my man probably needs new boots every time he rides it!! Gangster stuff man!!!!
surprisingly not man I have a pair of 2017 garne,s with over 400 hrs on them guessing and all on worcs Ti pegs same as those and they are fine lol.

Riley Manderscheid you can buy BBR frame kits they use to make them but they range from 3k to 6500 for a frame kit since they dont make them anymore

Hmm great on talking about engine they mention Amazon and Alibaba as top sources. Not to mention the engine is built in China now. Was designed in Japan and originally made there but soon moved production to China.

Idk why pit bike riders ain't utilizing 2 stroke motors, they would shine in these small chassis. Slap a built 212cc supermini engine in that bike and it would rip. Or even a 125cc motor would prolly fit
