- I Decided to buy The most EXPENSIVE Pit Bike I could find which happened to be a Daytona Piranha 190. I rode it a few times before it broke in this video. I did buy it used on Facebook market place but the bike was basically brand new. hopefully this review video might help you out if you are considering buying a pit bike.

Buy the upgrade arm that curved for the gear select or put a wash on the outside of it so it can't pop of the star. The newer models already have the washer installed it a common complaint on the 190cc all models .
The 4 speed doesn't usually have issues with the shift star. 5 speeds do. Sounds like clutch issue to me. Adjust cable and try it. If it still does it open clutch cover may have a loose screw on clutch basket. These are notorious for bolts shaking loose. Threadlock is your best friend for these bikes. Had mine for a year now no issues.
Its a problem with the 4 speeds my brothers gots a semi xpro and it does this to his 1st sometimes
The next big bike you should get is a 250 4 stroke or 450 4 stroke dirt bike. I think it would be cool to see One of them on the channel. Awesome contact keep The awesome videos coming.

I own a 2017 P190 W/ 12 hours. 17F 14R tires. Bigger forks, red bullet Clamps. With 17-45 gearing. No tyranny issues.

I have a pitster pro with the 5 speed daytona and I have 20 hours on it so far. Had to tighten every bolt and add better washers and lock washers on spots like the motor mounts. I noticed the air mixture screw is very sensitive on these
You may need to do a shift star mod to the bike...I think the early 190s had a problem with false neutrals and what not
Yeah I think it’s an issue with my shifter fork trying to get it solved now I might just buy a new motor lol

@@JakesPlace12Vlogs a fork drum selecter about 45$ if you have a crashed gear a new set runs 75-100$ so if you do have to replace the bottom end it only 150$ish gasket on o ring I recommend at the same time 👍👌✌️🏍️💯🍻

It’s massive tho. A ssr or bbr aluminum frame kit is much better. But the best is a reinforced Honda frame with everything you can throw at it. And of course Honda engine cases
I have a 2022 Orion RBX 190 with the 5spd with 4k miles and so far the 5spd has not given me issues. it seems like zs/Daytona 190 4spd have more of those shift issues

@@lijahthekid I have seen it in a 5spd and 4spd. The piranha 190 came in a 4spd all the way down is neutral
@@lijahthekid You can get both, harder get a 5 speed than a 4 speed, unless you just buy the engine

How much did it cost you because I want one?
Just fixed my 190, mine lasted about 70-80 hours and a lock washer backed off the clutch. I had no idea what was wrong with it and kept riding, lasted me another 3 rides or so and my clutch completely locked up. Put the washer on, tested, and found out that I ruined 2nd gear. I put a street transmission in it and it seems a little better then the stock gear ratio. Takes out that rip you off the back power but will still easily flip if your not careful. I see this is probably not your issue but hopefully this helps somebody.

Get a pitster pro fse190 with the daytona engine
it just sounded like a clutch engaging issue man. try adjusting the clutch cable to have 3-4mm free play in adjustment on the handle. either that or it just wasn't fully in gear. nothing to worry about in my opinion
The clutch I think is fine. I think there is a issue with my shifter fork in the motor. But I will check haha.
I agree nothing to worry about, I got the electric start with five gear Daytona 190 and I used to have a lot of false neutrals and was able to find it sometimes but as the more I rode the more the gears found their groves
@@seanmulvaney5607 Hey Sean, i am searching high and low for a 5 speed Daytona pit bike, any idea where i could get one? i can find the 5 speed engines no problem but trying to get one attached to a pit bike is proving a lot harder, i have spotted a very odd one awhile back but having no luck now, almost seemed like i imagined it at this stage because they were so scarce lol, all seem to be 4 speeds. I have a Zongshen 5 speed and can't face going back to 4 speed again and want to feel the hype of a 4V. Any help would be much appreciated

My friend bought the same bike and we could never get it to run right I just bought a new rfz140 I regeared it and revolved the front forks and did a different rear shock and moved the bottom shock mount back I have no problem hitting my jumps which are all around 50 foot gaps

It’s probably got break in oil in it. It’s thin oil and should be removed after the first ride. Oil is what makes bikes shift
You think it’s worth the money for a pitbike to jump and take on the track ?

It was broken in before I got the bike I bought it used it was just super clean.

I have a brand new Daytona 190 and my second gear pops out sometimes, hasn’t broken any teeth yet but it is scary
There a mod to fix that it's called the shift star mod it's just a big washer that keeps the arm from poping off or out of gear when shifting the new model have it on them.
@@josephsaucedo8691yeah where do u get the washers? I have a 2021 daytona 190 pitser pro and Nike only has 15 hours on it . Ever since I’ve owned it it has poped out of fear and super hard to find neutral. I’ve down a few things but can’t figure it out so frustrating when spending good money on a bike and doesn’t work:(
@@Wyanshredz I understand you IV had my share of trouble there a company in the UK that sells a lot of the little fix it's for the 190cc its called ooracing they have a upgrade selecter pral arm and spring they also have the washer. there also a company called Norton that has just the washer. Ooracing With the spring and arm with washer should take care of.the problem your having hope that helps 💯🛠️🏍️🍻

@@Wyanshredz thanks no problem I would offer to buy it but you probably live to far for me to pickup and shipping way to expensive but I was the people that build the 190cc Wich are all the from same factory no matter the name on it. It would just fix the Miner problems they don't cost much and it's really simple fixing it but it would make them realize people don't want do dill with any of that when buying something new it's not hard to understand it should work out the box. If you look there a guy from the uk on UA-cam with the same bike same problem he was also going to sell it but after he read my comment about how to fix the problem and I offered to buy the engine he decided to see if he could fix it and has the how to videos on UA-cam he still has and ride the bike and hasn't had any other problems with it that I know of I would say as far as the little common problems that are none get fixed it's a perty fast reliable engine if you're looking for a race engine it's hard to beat for what it is have a great one till the next one. ✌️🛠️🏍️💯

I’m looking at a used one right now but idk if I want to buy it or not. It’s a 2021 190 I offered him 1400 due to needing a back tire and plastics and he said yes. So now I’m concerned lol. But he did send videos of it running

What exactly is the bike doing that makes you think it’s broken?
When I down shift it gets stuck in between gears
@@JakesPlace12Vlogs how many gears are you trying to shift down at a time before letting out the clutch and pulling it back in to down shift more? Sometimes if you try to go from gear 5 to gear 1 all in one clutch pull, the gear mesh won’t line up and it’ll do what your saying. It’s best to usually down shift 2 gears then let out the clutch for a second then pull in the clutch again and keep shifting down. Also if you’re breaking in the bike it’s best to shift slowly like I said, and your issue could away after break in if that’s the issue you’re having. Or you could try releasing the clutch a tad when it gets stuck and that might help it shift down easier. Hope some of that helps, always could be something else but you could at least start there and see if that changes anything. Feel free to let me know if anything changes! Have you tried a pitster pro I just bought this junk one and fixed it all up did a whole build and ride on my channel. It’s a gpx it’s a very high quality pit bike not China junk.
This is not from china haha they are typically high quality bikes from what I’ve seen. But Iv though about it before buying this but I chose this one haha
ordered a high quality carb for it. As Amazon carbs are junk and it’s almost impossible to find the right jets for it
@@JakesPlace12Vlogs try dhz mini moto for parts best place I’ve found so far very cheap pricing. I found the site looking to see if it’s possible to get the same engine you have in mine.
Ycf based from France, pisterpro, from the usa.,both have parts made in china. bucci moto , Ayrton Mbf are all from Italy amd their parts are made Italy, everyone uses Daytona 190 from Japan.
And ussually it takes a few weeks to get the gears and the shifting fork to break in. There’s videos on the shooting star but I believe that issue as in solved along time ago. and I believe there was more to do with Zongshen 190's made in china

Best cheap pit bike that lasts is the 2021 Apollo RFZ Z40 max
I have an Apollo 140 as well but it isn't a max. Great bike with 17/14" tires. Could use more speed, but I'm not really complaining.
The Piranha is a pretty good bike I got the same one of course I upgraded everything the shifting seems to be OK just keep an eye on the temperature I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be after a hard ride but mine was 128° after sitting for 15 to 20 minutes and only riding it for about the same amount of time 15 to 20 minutes
That’s good to know! I did drop the bike once about a week before and it landed on the side of the sifter just spun out in the grass. So I could have a bent shift rod or it’s just something with the shifter fork! I’m going to split the motor next weekend
@@JakesPlace12Vlogs If it’s slipping out of gear also check the clutch plates and the type of oil you’re using make sure it’s dead on correct and check your clutch adjustment on the lever!

Cool bikes and all. But for the price why not buy yz or kx 125 2t? So many great used bikes out there that will outlast these chinese bikes.

@JakesPlace12Vlogs I have a similar problem I bought a 23 pitsterpro fse19 estart 5speed and it kicks false neutrals 1-4 drives me batty but I do have to say gpxmoto has stood by this thing and sent me a 4speed non estart and it seems ok so far ill pin this thread and keep ya posted 📫
Sounds like your in between neutral and first user error
This bike is japanese made, not the chinese bikes. Anyone wanting a chinses bike should go with Apollo the Z40 specifically.
I own one. Have had it for around 2 years. I heard Apollo is one of the top Chinese pitbike brands you can buy.

I think most parts on those are from china tbh thy just rebrand the motor but the parts are all still from china. Why because it’s the most inexpensive way to start and run a business.
