I was totally mesmerized by this video. I honestly didn't think you could make egg roll wrappers that thin at home without some kind of machine or device. Who would've thought that you could stick two of them together with oil, roll them out, cook them on a pan, and then peel them apart after into two perfectly thin wraps? I agree that it's a lot of work, but I love the satisfaction of knowing that I could totally make these at home myself. You are awesome, I love your videos!
Hi Ophelia Blue... It's like a Mexican making their tortillas, like a Pastry Chef making their own Puffed Pastry Sheets Dough, right? She's really amazing and one can tell she's been doing this for a looong time. Awesome!!!
Is the same method used by Indian cuisine to make their samosas in Goa and Mozambique. I learned with my mentor who was a Indian chef this old technique. Is amazing.
I made these for our party we had last night! It was time consuming but SO worth it. If you want authentic, crispy, flavorful wrapper dough, this is it! This is how egg rolls are supposed to taste!!
I really appreciate how you always mention at what stage a recipe can go in the freezer for best results. It really helps with meal prepping for the week when I'm trying out new recipes!
You don't deserve any thumbs down. You are awesome. Thank you so much. My son is Asian and I told him I was going to make sesame chicken. I learned it off of your video. He told me there was no way that a Caucasian woman could make Chinese food.. because your recipe was so easy and so well instructed. My son said it was better than any of the Chinese restaurants. My son lost the bet.
Nice recipe. But I have an addition to add to your egg roll wrappers. My father owned a Chinese restaurant years ago.....and they had the best egg rolls in Connecticut. His secret ingredient was peanut butter in with the dough. It really made the egg roll skins taste different and alot better.
OMG this recipe is amazing and you are an artist! 🎨I have been looking for this recipe for years. I really haven't had a clue and doubted i could make eggrolls for lack of wrappers. I can no longer find my favorite ready made eggrolls anywhere now, and that has made me sad 😢 but highly motivated to find this. clear, concise instruction and your smile is contagious. can't wait to see what else you've got goin' on, girl! thank you
This worked INSANELY well! I thought I would mess it up somehow and won't be able to peel the two wrappers apart after cooking but they came apart pretty seamlessly with minor breakages. So easy to follow!
This is my son's iPad. I'm a granny from Texas. Oh my gosh, those are beautiful and perfect.they are like a little taste of Heaven. I got a chuckle at the end of the video when you were talking about the Peking Duck. Because I misunderstood you and thought you said Peking Dog. 😂 Being an American, it seems odd to me, even though I know it's a staple meat in some countries. Have a good day sweetie, you're as cute as a button.t & I enjoyed your video and plan on watching more Chinese food is one of my favorites.
Dear Mandy, as you know, the entire world is in deep depression since the COVID-19 appears , but watching your videos, listening to your sweet voice, enjoying your smile and kindness makes me feel so happy!!! you are a natural stress relief!!! I wish you well and thanks again for everything you do so perfectly !!
Hi :) So i moved to a small town that has hardly any good food. I have had to study and learn how to make everything my family likes lol I love crunchy noodles with my Chinese food. Our closest restaurant charges $1.00 for a tiny bag of crunchy noodles that are almost always stale. Absolutely ridiculous. So I came in search of egg roll wrapper recipe to make my noodles out of.. I made crunchy flat noodles. After the 30 minute resting period. I cut the dough in small sections. took one section out of the wrap and rolled it out enough to fit into my pasta machine. i rolled it from the largest setting to the smallest. the thinness was perfect for my noodles. I then cut them by hand into about 1/2 inch rectangles and fried them up in some avocado oil i had on hand. These were fantastic. Thank you so much for the recipe. Also I noticed that this dough is also the same exact dough i use to make my Polish perogies. Thought that was pretty neat. Thx again. You're a pleasure to learn from
I live in northern Italy and there is only one shop in our city that has them already made. But right now it is dangerous to go in that shop, so I will try this recipe. I appreciate it very much. I see that you live in Ecuador now, and you face the same food challenges I do here in a way. Italians do not make Chinese or any Asian food at home, so products are difficult to find. They don't make Mexican or any South American food, either. This is very sad to me, they are missing out. However, it is a challenge to us to find what we need, or learn how to make it. Your videos are valuable, don''t stop.
Lots of Work or not why would I ever buy in a store when I can make them myself. Besides now a days I never find what I want in the store. With your demonstration we can get egg rolls anytime we want. Not letting store availability affect my dinner ideas. So happy I found your channel,Thank you for this recipe.
I made eggroll wrappers last night. I couldn’t believe how simple it make these. I didn’t think I would be able to roll them so thin but I did came out perfect… next time I’m just going to make the chips to go with my egg roll in the bowl!
My mother-in-law used to make the dough for these egg rolls wrappers, and the dough was so thin. It used to cover the whole table. I would like her recipe but at 99 years old, she does not remember it. I will try yours. Thank you for your very clear instructions!
Hello Mandy. I just found you yesterday and I’m so happy! I love your videos, skill, teaching, and positive attitude. As a cook who specializes in Italian cuisine and fresh pasta in particular, I just love watching you make dough and dumplings! I think that I’m going to branch out and make some Asian dumplings. I will start with your recipes. Thanks!

I am a new subscriber, and while I consider myself a decent home cook and am even capable of making decent hand-stretched noodles, I will never be confident enough to take on the egg roll wrapper. I’m very grateful to have learned the technique, though, and you very clearly explained a complicated process and did it expertly. Much respect for your talents.
Wow, I never knew that the egg roll wrapper recipe could be so easy, time consuming but easy. I will have to give this one a try. Just make big batches to make it worth my while and have plenty of wrappers for later. Thank you so much for your video.
I loved this video, it was detailed enough yet never boring and I can't wait to make them soon. I don't find good spring roll wrappers where I live and what I bought from the store some time ago were horrible. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe and for being honest enough to admit you still prefer buying them to making them :-)
These look amazing!! Thank you for sharing!! I am making Lumpia and have been unable to find wrappers right now. Thank you for helping me to bring some happiness to my family right now!😊😊😊

You may be thinking of filo dough wrappers. These are actually a bit thicker and depending on what you are using them for, a bit more chewy.
The most honest cook ever. This is how you do it.... but don't cook this because it is too much work. Just buy it from the supermarket. Perfect :)

[Especially if it's this platform, their "UA-cam accounts", are restricted to those who ACTUALLY teach things show things, give value, create educational content that I- have approved AND 'vetted'.]
A helpful takeaway for others, would be to have a "tablet time" together, while consciously observing/listening every once in a while, to what they are watching/who they are watching.
This has helped me to be able to narrow down that nonsense, "burning-brain-cells" crap like things like that "Jeffy" circus or watching other kids who are streaming themselves watching other people open boxes, toys, playing video games, etc.
Those "Family Channels", (MOST of them anyways) are so completely out of touch with what REAL reality, IS and it's sadly "setting kids up for failure- from the jump".
