    Savior bags are the ONLY bags I own. If you're looking for a bag that actually shows up looking like they do in the photos, i.e. not rolled up trash with soft edges, this is the brand for you. SO sturdy, rugged, and well priced. This bag is exactly what you need when you want protection, but can't afford a Pelican or Eyler hard case.

    Thank you for the review. This is the first time I have heard of the SAVIOR brand. Did a little further research and ordered the 36” American Classic OD Green for my 2 AR 15s. The case arrived today in a well packaged box. The case is very well made, the padding is great and I really like the pouches and lockable zippers. I put a First Aid kit and tourniquet on the MOLLE attachments. The backpack straps are well padded, only wish they would detach without having to take the straps apart.
    Each of my ARs has a sling, flashlight and red dot attached. One has a bi-pod. Both rifles fit like a glove in the case with a little room to spare.

    Many thanks for the video, it's very helpful to me as I'm in the searching for a new rifle bag, since install the new lens on my Remington 700 the old case it isn't able to close, and there are not to much bags for rifles with 26" barrels. I'm viewing this bag from 2 weeks and your video helped me to make the choice. You won another suscriptor.

    I got one off amazon a few weeks ago. I got the urban warfare one in 36" fde. It's very well made! I took my ar15 with 7 mags, ar pistol with 6 mags, and 2 handguns.each with 5 mags. The 2 front pouches on the front will each hold 4 mags. Absolutely love the backpack design. If you just want to use the shoulder strap you can detach the straps and tuck them in the back and reattach them keeping them snug and not flopping around. All around awesome range bag. Would definitely recommend especially for the price. I paid $65 or $69...can't remember.

    I have had two of those 36" Drago bags for several years now and they have served me very well. One of them has come with me for pretty much every range trip I've brought a rifle. That Savior bag looks pretty much identical to the Drago, however, it seems to be about 25-30% less in cost. That's a pretty good value if they are at least as good as the Drago bags. I just wish they were a little wider. If I have two rifles in there with any optic larger than a micro dot, it can get a little hard to close the zipper. Same scenario with my long range rifle that has a very wide scope due to the large turrets. Thanks for the review.

    A few key differences that weren’t covered in this video... the main compartment of the Urban Warfare opens up to a full 180 (see 3:43), whereas others “clamshell”, only opening to around 135-145 degrees (see 1:32 , 7:58). Also I believe the zippered pocket you show at 5:03 is meant to be used to stow the backpack straps when not in use, which most similar bags do not have.

    • @johnschmidt6089
      @johnschmidt6089 3 роки тому +1

      THANK YOU for providing this comment about the incomplete clamshell. I just ordered the American Classic on Amazon an hour or so ago. As soon as I saw your comment and checked out the video at 1:32, I immediately went to Amazon and submitted a request to cancel the order. I HATE products that claim to clamshell but do not completely open to 180. Decided to switch to the Urban Warfare, but the size I want it isn't available at present in black. THANK YOU AGAIN!

    • @roundrockmoe
      @roundrockmoe Рік тому

      @@johnschmidt6089 Actually it does open up 180 degrees. The bulk of the front pockets and the backpack straps give the impression that it does not.

    The American classic is identical to the Nine Line bag they used to make. They don’t have it on their site anymore but a lot of others do for $89. As far as I know the nine line is only in FDE/Tan. I’m assuming it was made by this company and branded nine line or both use a generic bag and rebrand it. I just got one today and it seems to be in good quality and fits my AR-15 and pistols nicely. I am also able to put all the target papers in the bag too so basically one bag holds all. Only thing is after putting a few hundred rounds of ammo in the bag gets really heavy. I will probably carry an ammo case when going to then ranges.

    Nice overview of the bags but "It's better because the owner said so, he's a cool guy, and he sent me free bags" isn't the most convincing argument. Also would have appreciated some field testing rather than just opening bags (all still with the tags on, indicating they haven't been used) on a bench. They are meant to carry stuff, not just look good, after all.

    • @flexluthor1691
      @flexluthor1691 4 роки тому +4

      No it isnt the most convincing argument. Good thing he did a 12 min review covering the bag inside and out, comparing to other similar brand name bags, so you dont have to take the owner’s word. Also he never made that argument. All he did was mention the owner reached out for him to review. Try listening, instead of TRYING to be a smart ass. Have a nice day.

    Question: On the Savior, can those three outside pouches be removed from the big outside pouch by cutting away the stitching that holds them on?
    The reason is that those are too many pouches for me, I don't need them. Plus, I don't like the way they are designed and the way they stick out from the bag and make the bag totally un-streamlined. They are only something to snag on other contents in my truck when putting in and pulling out.

      more made in usa reviews in general! also just more made in usa products. can get good quality stuff made outside the us for sure. my 7yr old voodoo rifle bag has been great for me with no real complaints but i would much rather get something made in america, by americans with american parts even if it cost a premium when i can afford it. the vast majority of consumers dont want to spend 2, 3 or 4 times as much on that though so reviews of such seem to be more scarce. im currently looking at a smaller range bag and considering the lynx, gauge outfitters or thorn & fire but these savior products do look pretty compelling though, even if not made in america. it is understandable how much harder it is to do full made in usa products will drive most to use overseas production. just the way of the world i suppose.

    Generally, all of these bags are made by one company. The companies that have them made by this company (usually in China), send the materials and specifications, and the bags are made accordingly. Lots of these bags look very similar, but the differences are the price, and the quality of the materials used.
    So, the trick for consumers is to do research into how they are made, and the materials used, and also consider pricing. Many times the lower or mid priced items will actually be of higher quality. It all depends on how much profit the company selling the items to the general public want.
    I've seen much the same thing when it comes to spotting scopes, rifle scopes, and basically optics that are also made in China. Do your research, and then buy.

I ordered the bag from Amazon about an hour ago, but then immediately went back and requested to cancel the order when seeing below here a comment from another viewer that you did not mention this flaw with the bag. Why companies do not make their "clamshell" products to open up COMPLETELY flat blows my mind!
