I'm a dark skinned Indian who was born in Australia and I always felt so left out! Most Australian boys didn't speak to me, and I thought nobody would ever love me. My Fiance who is Australian helped me realise that I am beautiful and that my skin colour doesn't make me ugly or unwanted. He has helped me love myself for who I am and he loves me for me. Dark skin has nothing to do with your physical beauty. There are many dark skinned people who are attractive. Indian society long time ago thought dark skin is something related to status not looks. As majority of poor people in India are dark skinned. The people of India for generations thought that dark skin represents poverty, hence they it unattractive. But now there many dark skinned people who are rich and healthy. So, it is the status not the looks in which dark skin is hated.

Getting rejected was always been a part of my life as dusky skin girl, few days back in my home they started to search for boys for marriage and few people rejected me only seeing my photo and some people even did not respond after seeing the photo
And few days back a family saw me and after that till now they did not respond

Even in 2021, this still persists. Importance is given only to looks and color and beauty . No one would see anything beyond that.
Guys also get rejected for short height, for being bald and other features that are beyond their control, but I think best thing is that one should not worry about it, and just respect the decision of the next person, even if it is just based on exterior appearance. Many girls prefer a wealthy guy or guy who is tall, dark/fair and and handsome, or very rich, so even if that may sound shallow, but still it is their choice so should be respected, and same with the the girls that if a guy is only focused on looks and money, then just let him go, and don't take it personally. You can't make someone like and love you, just be real, be you, be wherever you feel happy, do whatever makes you happy, and you will be fine.

It's fine if you have some preferences based on colour of the skin. But don't treat them rude. Treat them like any other person. You don't have to love them. Atleast you can smile and talk to them. They are daughter and sister of someone and a human being on top of that.They deserve to be loved.
Exactly there was a popular white skinned guy in my class, who always flirt with other white girls but i mind mu own business,
One day out of no where he said loudly to me "i hate kala rang i hate kale people" like Many times and other girl who had a crush on her also laughed at me....i literary couldn't take my stand, so After School got over i cried and cried a lot....
After that i started to avoid that guy but he always used to look at me like I'm dirty or superstition 🙂
It literally drained my lot confidence and self esteem, but ik he's a jerk and playboy who dont respect girls, and i reall dont care about these cheap thinking people....i just wanted to be successful and love myself more and more and more.
