എന്റെയും same life ആണ് ഈ story. എത്ര കഴിവ് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും കാര്യം ഇല്ല. എല്ലാവർക്കും colour ആണ് കാര്യം. കുഞ്ഞിലേ മുതൽ സ്വന്തം parents ൽ നിന്ന അദ്യം തുടങ്ങിയെ... അവരാ ആദ്യം ആയിട്ട് ഞാൻ കറുപ്പാണെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു വേദനിപ്പിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയെ. പിന്നെ അത് എല്ലാവരും ആയി. വർഷങ്ങൾ ആയിട്ട് ഒരു function നു polum ഞാൻ പോയിട്ടില്ല ആരുടെയും മുന്നിൽ ഒരു കോമാളി ആയി നിക്കാൻ വയ്യാത്തോണ്ട്. നല്ല active ആയിരുന്ന എനിക്ക് ഇന്ന് ഒരു frnd പോലും ഇല്ല അത്ര ഒതുങ്ങി പോയി. ഇങ്ങോട്ട് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന ആളിനെ ജീവനെ പോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാകാം കറുപ്പായതു കൊണ്ട് ഇങ്ങോട്ട് പ്രണയിക്കാനും ആരും വന്നില്ല. ഇപ്പൊ കല്യാണത്തിന്റെ പേരിൽ കാണാൻ വരുന്നവർ കൂടെ കറുപ്പാണ് എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. വെളുത്തിരുന്നാൽ നല്ല പെണ്ണ്. കറുതിരുന്നാൽ മോശം പെണ്ണ് അതാണ് ഇന്നത്തെ society യുടെ ചിന്ത...... എന്നാ ഇനി നമ്മുടെ ലോകം നന്നാവുന്നെ 😢😢😢

I am one of the whitest people here in Italy, when we speak with my friends (we are all italian) we always say that people from India are amazing: the skin is beautiful, hair is amazing, eyes very deep...
Every skin is beautiful because that is an artwork of God however I am shocked to hear of this issues....
I always thought that the darker in India were considered more beautiful... how we humans are strange!
Indians have a strange obsession with fair skin
According to research studies, the most attractive skin rated by people of all races is 'light brown skin', and not super pale or dark skin, what we Indians consider as 'fair' and 'ideal', is considered 'ideal' around most parts of the world, most people just find light skin more attractive and there's nothing wrong it, more than 90 percentage of asia is obsessed with fairness, places like say South Korea is much more obsessed with fairness, than India ever will be, and in the U.S, what they consider the most attractive is the light brown tan skin, that is, a skin tone like Enrique Iglesias, ie, a light brown skin.
Black people group themselves as 'light skinned' and 'dark skinned', and most black people themselves strongly prefer the 'light skinned' black people, over the darker ones, most people around the globe aren't attracted to darker skin tone and tend to find light brown skin more aesthetically pleasing, it's just what it is, nothing wrong with having a preference for light skin, or any other physical feature, as long as you aren't putting down anyone. I've always said this and I'll say this -
'preferences doesn't mean colourism or rasicm'.
@@jakonjhn yup there is no bad in obsession. Just because they like light they can't expect all to be lighter or even ignore the darker ones. Here in this video still the groom likes the girl but his mom doesn't and the talent is not seen just her face is! Some things depend on talent not face. Even though if it is most of us are just obsessed with white because it has been taught. It has been made that white or fair is what beauty means. Check the parents we say drink milk that will make u whiter to a 5 y/o child which makes them think white is what we should be! It is not obsession it is simply discrimination. U see darker people and more probably first think of their negative aspects. I have no idea why white is pushed as beauty. *It has been in heart of many not because they like it just because they have been said like it*

I can't say it's entirely true in India, there are people who still prefer black skinned ones..
Most of the times it's just girls that face the heat of discrimination as society always shows that girls should be fair and lovely, whether it's in ads or beaty pageants, or in movies..
Most of the people here in South of India still prefer black and brown skin over white, I've seen tons of couples where each one of them have a black skinned partner..
I myself find black men more attractive than white..
Yes, there is discrimination in some parts of India but not in entire India..the day when those beauty adds, fairness creams market ends, there will be no discrimination in skin colours..
My cousins used to troll me for being dark unlike other children in our family 😢I never felt confident and beautiful when I used to be in school . At certain point I felt my sister is get more attention, love , luck and opportunities than me because she had a fairer skin 😓😓I hated her . If I didn’t had faced that sort of stress and pressure to be fair , I would have been much more better human being . I couldn’t get out my childhood trauma . I still have insecure feel but only when I see my cousins and sometimes my own sister😢

എനിക്കും ഇതേ അനുഭവം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്റെ കഥ പോലെ ആണ് ഇത് കണ്ടിട്ട് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയത്. സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഇതുപോലെ ടീച്ചർ എന്നെ ഡാൻസിൽ നിന്നും മാറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അന്നാണ് ആദ്യമായി കളർ ഒരു പ്രശ്നം ആണ് എന്ന് എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ പതിപ്പിച്ചത്. അതിനു ശേഷം എല്ലാത്തിനും പുറകോട്ടു വലിയനാണ് ഞാൻ ശ്രെമിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്. ആ ടീച്ചർ പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ ആരേലും ഞാൻ കറുത്തതാണ് കൂട്ടത്തിൽ കൂട്ടാൻ കൊള്ളില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാലോ എന്നോർത്തു 😓അന്നുമുതൽ ഇന്ന് വരെ ഞാൻ അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന discomfort എന്നെ എല്ലാത്തിനും demotivate ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.

When you are dark skin you age slowly compared to lighter tones you age faster. I watch Bollywood and regional films and I wish I could see more darker skin actresses. My mom has fair skin and dad has dark skin.... My mother side relatives were asking to her that you are fair but why are your daughter is dark colour?.... Mom replyed that she just looks like her father, that's why.... On that time I didn't noticed much that as I was kid... When I comes the adult age, the questions are asking by relatives and others...I begun to thinking that why has been she answering keep my father's colour...?, She could have been asked that what's the problem of her colour...? Why is she responding like this...? These much of quarries going on my head...While one side the relatives are asking this, other side others.... Sorry, I don't meant my religion, just I mentioned this....I am a Muslim community girl... Others, You are a Muslim girl, commenly every muslim girls are looking fair but why are you looking black...?

What's the problem to you all...?, If mother is fair, Is there any rule her daughter should be fair...?, If a girl from a muslim community, Shouldn't be black colour she is...? Black is a colour like white, dusky... But you people meant like a disease...Middle of the days, My face was having pimple problem due to tean age...As usually how others asked my colour, as like they were asking about pimple as well... I am a strong person and smilee girl, nothing could hurt me easily.... Though, After a stage I too got a suffer about my face, just got suffer about my face, doesn't colour... My father is my best friend, one day he told me that In Quran, "This is God's colorful life. Who is more beautiful than Allah in bestowing beauty? He is the one we call upon" (Al-bahara, 2:158). The one verse he said, My all worries and sufferings got spotless... Finally my black skin gets glow and pimples have disappeared... Thank God...Now I am more strong than my past and how I was flying my childhood, just like now I am flying as per where I am.... When I see mirror, I remember that I am the most beautiful person in my own world... We all of us have to learn a thing, our mind only should to know that which is worth and worthless, It will only make us extrem beautiful.....

I dont think there is anything wrong with having preferences. But believing one preference is superior than other is where the problems start. Some boys may prefer white skinned girls. Some may prefer brown skinned. Some like short girls other like tall girls. The same applies vice versa. Some women like bearded men some like clean shaven some like lean men so there is nothing wrong in having preferences. I personally like brown skinned tall girls but that doesnt mean white or black girls r ugly

The cinema is the real awareness creator. The change in the cinema can make a change.. Must end colourism... I had never taught I'm dark. Racism is a big issue in my India,
I have faced racism a lot, I didn't like my skin when I was child for being black, but now I'm happy to be as I am. I wanted to do plastic surgery and even talked with my parents on the same. Also I felt lower self esteem.
But now I won't do it even if I can afford it because by doing so, I'm accepting what racists say black or dark skin is bad.
People say runaway from Africa, Negro and so on. I'm sorry to say my own state Kerala is racist, I faced much racism there.
There is nothing wrong in being black, it's a skin tone.
If anyone is reading this and are considering plastic surgery to be fair , I request you please stop. Don't change your skin for anyone.

I too had to face a lot of rejections and insults just because of my skin colour.For years,it trapped me in a world of insecurities, fears and lonelines. After sunexposure if my skin got tanned, I would be scolded.Crippled in my mind with the hurting words and gestures of others made it very difficult for me to face life with confidence. From my childhood I have been asked by my family members to do things to keep my skin tone fair. I am of Wheatish light brown color. But I have never felt the necessity to be fair or white. I am comfortable and love my skin tone. I don't ask anyone who is darker than me to make themselves fairer. In fact I encourage them to be comfortable in their body.

ഞാൻ 10ആം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ സ്ഥാനത് കണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തി പറഞ്ഞു " മോന്ത കണ്ട കരണകുറ്റി അടിച്ചു പൊട്ടിക്കാൻ തോന്നും " എന്ന്. വെറുതെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന എന്നോടാണ് അത് പറഞ്ഞത്. അത് ഒരു shock തന്നെ ആയിരുന്നു. കാരണം എനിക്ക് അവരെ അത്രക് ഇഷ്ടമായിരുന്നു. ഇത് ഒരു സംഭവം മാത്രം. അമ്മ നല്ല വെളുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്കൊണ്ട് അമ്മയുടെ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഏതൊരു function നു പോയാലും എനിക്ക് കര യാനുള്ള വക അവിടന്ന് കിട്ടുമായിരുന്നു. കുഞ്ഞുനാൾ മുതൽ എന്റെ physical appearance നെ കളിക്കുന്നവരെ മാത്രമേ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളു. ഞാൻ എന്നെ തന്നെ വെറുത്തിരുന്നു. എന്ന് ഞാൻ പ്രതികരിച് തുടങ്ങിയോ അന്ന് തോട്ട് കളിയാകലുകളും നിന്നു.

എന്റെ മകൻ pre school ൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത്, ഏതാണ്ട് 5 വർഷം മുൻപ്, അവന്റെ ഒപ്പം പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു ഫാമിലിയിലെ 3 കുട്ടികൾ ഉണ്ടാരുന്നു. വളരെ fair ആയി chubby ആയി ഇരിക്കുന്ന, ആർക്കും ഒന്ന് കൊഞ്ചിക്കാൻ തോന്നുന്ന കുട്ടികൾ. അവരുടെ family വളരെ rich ഉം ആയിരുന്നു. അതോടൊപ്പം അവിടെ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു middle class കുട്ടിയും ഉണ്ടാരുന്നു. അവൻ നല്ല dark skin tone ആരുന്നു. ഈ വല്യ വീട്ടിലെ കുട്ടികൾ അവനോട് ഒരിക്കലും മിണ്ടില്ല. അവനൊപ്പം കളിക്കില്ല. അവന്റെ അടുത്ത് ഇരിക്കില്ല. ഒരുമിച്ച് കളിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു situation വന്നാൽ അവർ 3 പേരും ഒറ്റക്ക് മാറി നിന്നു കളിക്കും. പാവം ആ കുട്ടി ആ പ്രായത്തിൽ അതായത് 3 വയസ്സ് ഉള്ളപ്പോ ഈ ignorance മനസ്സിലാക്കി എപ്പോഴും പഠിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഒറ്റക്ക് മാറി ഇരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഞാൻ ഇത് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. ഈ കുട്ടികളോട് ഞാൻ കാരണം അന്വഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ തന്നെയാണ് എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞത് അവൻ കറുത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കൊണ്ട് ആണെന്ന്. എനിക്ക് അത് വല്യ shock ആരുന്നു. 3 വയസ്സ് മാത്രം ഉള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്ക് എങ്ങനെ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയാൻ കഴിയും എന്ന്. അവരുടെ parents നോടും ഞാൻ ഈ കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞു. അവർക്ക് അതൊരു തമാശ ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ഞാൻ ഇവരെ ആരെയും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. ആ കുട്ടികൾ ഇപ്പോൾ തിരിച്ചറിവ് വന്നു കാണും എന്ന് ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
