My mother after being hard on my brother for 30+ years lost him and up to his death she was still putting him down for not being who she thought he should be. No I was a mom at 17.. it’s having 6 kids which in no part are the children’s fault. The twins say.. we stay to ourselves ( which means they know not to be around ) the other daughter is grateful for her mom taking care of her because she was sick..

I took in a child whose mom left him on his 17th Birthday. She moved out of state. He's 26yrs old now. He doesn't know or care where his mom is to this day. She had fought for full custody when he was younger and won. I couldn't imagine leaving my child at that age. My daughter moved out after she finished HS and I still miss her and she is about 10 minutes away. She's almost 27yrs old now, but I would let her come back anytime.

There are times when I come visit my mom that I feel like she’s still penalizing me for things I’ve done when I was a teenager and lashing out because of her narcissistic ex husband. When my mom moved with my siblings to another state, I was left at 19 to live on my own and navigate the world by myself. I am the most vocal child she has and whenever I hold her accountable she pulls away from me entirely. It is hard feeling like a burden to your own mother.

The mother was so frustrated she was taking out all of it on the daughter. The oldest is mad at her sister because she had seizures Lowkey mad at her sister because she was healthy to do whatever. I'm also believe the daughter does not have children and that can breed resentment from the mother. The twins were like we see enough but we keep to ourselves. Which makes sense for twins, they have each other. The mom has a lot of children to be a single parent.
My mom has said the same things to me. We just got into a physical altercation because she was drunk and tried to attack my niece. If she can’t stop drinking and lashing out and act like a grown woman, I am done with her forever.

There's a strong possibility that mother sees so much of herself in her daughter but didn't want the same outcome for her. I also believe that the daughter has outgrown some of her rebellious ways and because of her mother's diagnosis, she wants to be on better terms with her mom, but they're so used to reacting to certain triggers from each other that they can't find their way to each other. No I was a mom at 17.. it’s having 6 kids which in no part are the children’s fault. The twins say.. we stay to ourselves ( which means they know not to be around ) the other daughter is grateful for her mom taking care of her because she was sick..

I took in a child whose mom left him on his 17th Birthday. She moved out of state. He's 26yrs old now. He doesn't know or care where his mom is to this day. She had fought for full custody when he was younger and won. I couldn't imagine leaving my child at that age. My daughter moved out after she finished HS and I still miss her and she is about 10 minutes away. She's almost 27yrs old now, but I would let her come back anytime.

I know exactly how she feels. There are times when I come visit my mom that I feel like she’s still penalizing me for things I’ve done when I was a teenager and lashing out because of her narcissistic ex husband. When my mom moved with my siblings to another state, I was left at 19 to live on my own and navigate the world by myself. I am the most vocal child she has and whenever I hold her accountable she pulls away from me entirely. It is hard feeling like a burden to your own mother.

The mother was so frustrated she was taking out all of it on the daughter. The oldest is mad at her sister because she had seizures Lowkey mad at her sister because she was healthy to do whatever. I'm also believe the daughter does not have children and that can breed resentment from the mother. The twins were like we see enough but we keep to ourselves. Which makes sense for twins, they have each other. The mom has a lot of children to be a single parent.

When I see things like this it always leaves my heartbroken! My daughter is 25 and the relationship we have reflects the same relationship I had with my mom! When I tell you that my daughter is literally crazy about me! I have always loved her and now my grandson with everything I have in me and showed up as I should have and beyond so listening to these stories and seeing the level of dysfunction between parents in general and their kids makes my heartbreak

I have 3 kids, and would hate myself if I did or said anything to make them act out toward me as an adult. I coddle them when they’re upset, compliment them to the extreme when they do good, reassure them that they’re better than that when they do wrong, and apologize when I make mistakes. I love my children so much. Destiny didn’t feel love, reassurance, or like she was wanted/needed as a child. I hope she and her mom can make things right.

I believe the mother loves her daughter but doesn't like the way the daughter reacts to her parenting. There's a strong possibility that mother sees so much of herself in her daughter but didn't want the same outcome for her. I also believe that the daughter has outgrown some of her rebellious ways and because of her mother's diagnosis, she wants to be on better terms with her mom, but they're so used to reacting to certain triggers from each other that they can't find their way to each other. They really have to learn to forgive each other by letting go of the past behavior. Praying for them❤
