@Lucky Sin Luciano If you get a nice one and keep it nice, it'll actually go up in value. Try doing that with a new car. When all the electronic junk on new cars goes bad years from now, these will still be on the road.
I had that same car (color, 4-speed, wheels and interior right down to the missing knob on window crank), except for t-top. I bought it new and sold it in 1994 with about 100k miles and original clutch. Worst mistake I ever made.
@@joelalexander5338 My first mistake was selling my '72 Chevelle. I put a lot into that car right down to the candy apple paint job. Went temporarily insane and bought a '78 Cordoba. Luckily, I was only committed to the "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO" loony bin for a year before I got the Z28.
Bought this car new in 78' - T-tops 4 speed - Added top end DBX Cassette DECK and built - in 12inch Woofers in rear DECK Mid rage in the door and tweeters in the front dash with separate amps for each side - - T-Tops off was a killer system back then..neighbors hated me commin home @ nite.. crashed the car in 82' sold as is for $500 66k miles
I got a 78 corvette and it grinded going into second, turns out automatic trans oil was put in a manual trans. Some of the teeth was worn out but only had 34,000 miles. This is an excellent Z 28 little high on price tho. Nice vids
@@yamahaguy1732 Well according to Hagerty they are staying consistent if not staying same as price, tho i did not fill in it was a 4 speed which does add some but not a lot of value for the z 28 if not any. So price can be negotiable as there are some nit picks here and there.
Awesome car, I love that it's a 4spd but too bad it's also T-top. No experience with Camaros but as a general rule I strongly prefer a solid roof. Anything else doesn't age well, they eventually leak causing other serious problems. Something I love about this era of cars is how simple and serviceable they are. Assuming you want to work on your own cars then a model like this from the days of blue collar DIY is way more practical than anything modern, strange as some people might think that sounds. I lived in CA up until a year ago, a guy in the neighborhood had a 2ndgen that I used to admire every time I took a walk. I always wondered how much of a pain it was to get through CA emissions - I think a late 70s car would be the worst for that (1975 and older are exempt). I have a mid-80s car with EFI, it was pretty easy to get through emissions but a carbed car would be a PITA I bet.
Ive owned 5 fbodys, all Manual transmission cars with ttops. Ttops are the best part of the car. If you've never ridden in a car with ttops, you need to. I would never buy a car that you could gďet with ttops without them. Yeah, they all leak. But I keep mine garaged and don't really drive them in the rain. Fbodys don't like the rain anyway. 90% of the time when I'm driving, they're off.
1st and 2nd gens are so sexy I also like the first batch of the current gen camaros with the first style headlight and taillights like the 2011 now they look so bad
What's amazing to me is how people buy T-Top cars without inspecting the floors I own 8 classics currently and the first thing I check is the frame & floor boards that's where all your money is going ,T top cars are sketchy purchases
Trying to shove it into reverse right after you wound the rpm's up to four or five grand doesn't work well assuming this is a Muncie. Not sure many 4-speed transmissions came with that option. Patience Grasshopper.
Wait so how came all of your cars do not have horns not that I have a problem with it just woundering but it's an easy fix to do even without the horn this car is still amazing.
1490 is a pretty decent buy for that car numbers matching 4 speed car!! Black interior!!...350!!...Paint's aged but perhaps new clear will fix it!! But 79 Camaro numbers matching 4 speeds are alot less common in 79 than the numbers automatic 3 was!! Clitch's were going out of popularity for high emission muscle cars!! Most started to become automatics off of the lot!!
A used car lot that looks like a car show. I love it!
LOVE THE 79-81..
78 to 81.
The late 2nd gen camaros might be slower than shit but they're the most beautiful in my opinion 😂
You speaking truth! I want one for a first car so bad!
✝️🩸🤍
Slow, but they handled pretty well.
They can always be made faster.

so refreshing to see someone be that honest about a car they’re selling
Now this is the car I'd take on the Woodward Cruise in Detroit, blasting Boston, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, or Metallica. Beautiful.
Man 4 speed cars are so hard to come by. Glad this one is!

If some of us could go back in time...🤔

Tim Meyer...just a kid then BUT did the “rich Corinthian leather” get you?

Put it in 1st then reverse hear me 1st and reverse! That's what I use 2 do! Good luck Nick!👍👍
15k OMG for this vintage masterpiece wow❤
Love your car bro. Beautiful preservation of a legend
43,000 miles,I doubt it.
I'm back in the driver's seat BABY!!! Love that head cam.

No these are rising in value pretty quick this is a pretty good deal on it

I'll always be a 2nd gen Camaro guy ..someone will grab this up quick...but NOT in bad shape at all considering the age...Nice one Nick

Gotta get that mullet grown out so I can buy this beauty!!! 💪
I really want this car this is my dream car I'm not kidding
Same here
i got a 79 z28 rs t top but the z28 is in the grill and on the gas cap lid not stickers
She’s a quiet one
It looks like it can use a new z28 gas flap and a new front Z28 badge on the grille when the horn and Ebrake get fixed!! 😊😊😊
Should show under t tops area too
Beautiful car 😍

I had a 78 Z28 what's the difference
Very beautiful amazing looking cars beautiful amazing colours
Rust on bottom b a challenge look good 👍
We'll meet this year !
Wait so how came all of your cars do not have horns not that I have a problem with it just woundering but it's an easy fix to do even without the horn this car is still amazing.
Most of them have aftermarket steering wheels or they just never replaced the horn. Thanks
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate oh okay I was wondering thanks.
dream car🤩
Hi billy
Do a wheelie Nick!
t-tops too, wow!

First comment!!! Keep up the great work Hollywood
sounds like to me for putting it in reverse you need to double clutch.
Was going to say clutch needs replaced. But maybe the trainy just needs tightened up.
Fun car
You're supposed to lift the shifter before putting it in reverse my brother had one
Trans problem 3k off sticker price....lol
Maaco spray over add $9,999
Nick what's up with that 93 Mustang in the show room?? Been looking for one for a while now..
I like it, a lot 👍
*Maple Motors* Is that a stock 350 or is it slightly modded!? I think it's stock 170hp but i'm just curious incase!!
My 1980 Camaro z28 .. the reverse was always a little grind Cuz it's not quite in synchro.
Billy stop billy that’s not funny STOP BILLY PLEASE
Why the hell people take AC out of their cars. No AC t-tops two negatives but I do like the four speed!
Whats up lucky guy.
The grinding is probably a bad throw out bearing .
Needs new Synchros?rebuild? Fluid changed? Maybe all.
love
Can i buy one of them from france 🇫🇷...?
Love it!
where is it?
Hendersonville Tennessee
it grinds in reverse probably when you rev it up before putting it in reverse
Ah those ragged doors.
I KNOW RIGHT! Loved all mine but hated those heavy doors. Need new door pins every 6 months 😁🤪
Factory AC does it work??!!
He said it was not hooked up. Not working.
Could that be the original paint?
Some of it is possibly original, other looks to be rattle can touch up but hard to tell in video
I thought it looked patched up and spotted in or just weathered
It looks original I had a 79 the same color.
Most of the paint appears to be original. I could do wonders with it. Paint restoration is slow and tedious, but, I love it.
Is this still available, have cash it is what we want. Please let me know and I will call you.
If so how much
NICE!!!!!
It must nice to own one. Some of us don't have one I hate my fucking self
👍 👊 😎 ✌
Might need a new clutch!;
I know this is old I think these cars are under valued
A little paint and TLC should make a nice driver.....
Too pric🎉
