, just finished restoring an 80 Z28 Camaro, new paint synergy Green metallic new interior 87,000 organal miles no t-tops to leak, new stereo system , new tires on orginal stainless steel slotted wheels, new fuel tank, brakes and all new lines and hoses, 700 Edelbrock carb and manifold with headers and new 2-1/2 exhaust, beautiful car , 24,000 dollars.
This Z28 brings back memories. My buddy would let me drive his 1980 Z28 4-speed with 3.73 positraction. The motor was low on hp but had some torque and with those gears it still could keep up with more powerful cars for about 1/8 mile. Topped out at 100 mph.
I had an 81 burgundy Z/28 with gold trim back in 1984. Bought it with 30k miles, but in mint condition. Agree wasn't very fast, but man it was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned. Especially with the t-tops out. My induction flaps never worked consistently.
I turned 16 in 86 and had been saving money from cutting tobacco and housing it for two years and I bought one exactly like that one only it had red interior and it was beautiful, one owner and I gave them 2800
That for real is one of the nicest 81 Camaros I've seen. They are usually all cracked up on the dash and everywhere. But that one is well worth the money!
Love these cars had two 1978 Z28 ‘s , 1978 400 TA, 1979 403 TA & the one a still fret about selling, 1973 SD 455 TRANS AM, If I had all these cars today my retirement portfolio would be better. LOL. Loved them all.
You guys do an excellent job of showing every aspect of these cars so that no one has any surprises and I appreciate that! I will be looking for a 69 Firebird 400 or a retired Nascar here in the next year or so. I will be looking at you guys first if I decide on a 69 Firebird. Keep up the good work!
Just got an 80’ Z28 off my brother , light blue , 4 spd car. It the cleanest one I’ve ever seen in person. Your price point makes me feel great about what I paid, I hope you get every penny.

It’s nice but it’s got its problems, it’s definitely got an oil leak and that temperature gauge has to be fixed if the motor over heats and blows up somebody is screwed and I say that because that’s, exactly what happened to me 5 months ago in my 1982 Z28 Camaro that I just purchased it’s sitting in my garage now trying crap up 7 grand or so for a new crate motor gggggggrrrrrrr !!!

Will trade a 2018 Challenger R/T ,in very great condition..for a 79 to 81 Z28 in paint style! As an original orange not..?! Let see if u wanna make sum $ off what I want!?
Crazy, never showed that the air induction was functional. That would be a major selling point, considering they only made those in 80 and 81. Also, even though the car is 44 yrs old, alot doesnt work on it, and they are safety features to. The Horn, that is major, the AC, that is major, the radio, back up lites. I would have to say pass, its also an automatic. If it was a 80, 4spd, with functional air induction, and it had all the options, pw, pdl, tilt, AC, rear defroster, cassette, t tops, delay wipers, and everything worked, and the AC blew cold. Then it would be a possible sale for me.
The only downside to these late 70s early 80s Camaro's is the engine's were so detuned and if you looked at the speedo it was 85mph which about was the horsepower and it was a shame because they have such awesome body lines, beautiful car but no guts to match. This Camaro has been well kept as far as the body and interior are in great shape, but looks like a couple leaks, which a little work to seal it up make it a really nice ride to cruise in,
I had $20,000 at one time but I didn't know about Maple motors God I wish I would have known back then about you guys I definitely would have bought my dream car but if I'm ever blessed ever again with that kind of money I promise you you'll be seeing me you guys are the best when it comes to old school cars you make a lot of people's dreams come true you guys are awesome I wish I worked for you I would have worked free for 2 years for my dream car for free that's how much I like you you guys have the best inventory ever hands down your friend Manny -o
2025 or 2026 Maple Motors I will be coming out there to get a classic car though a classic car loan right now I'm still paying on my 96 impala which I love by the way but I want to get a other classic car to be added to my collections so see you in a couple of years take care.
Love it ! Got an '80 sans t-tops and magnesium wheels. The idle and back up lgts are weird. But this thing is definitely a blast from the past. My wheels from class of '87.
Those columns are the same columns are used to put the automatic on they just moved it to the floor so when you shift it from reverse to drive to park it actually moves on the column also it’s just that this column is not moving all the way up into the park position and that’s why the reverse lights are staying on
I've got a 78 z28 with 80 hood scoop and stripes just like that one it's almost identical mine has a big block 454 from a 70 chevelle it's doing 575hpat rear wheels .my mom bought it in 80 my dad owned a body shop we're all about drag racing we had 2 67 chevelle SS and a 67 camaro everything is gone now except the 78 z28
I promise you Maple motors when I'm able to I will be coming down there to visit and I am going home with one of these old classics old school cars you are the guy to go to there's no other place I want to go hopefully when that day comes you will have my dream car I'm pretty sure you will there is nobody else I want to go to I love seeing your videos God I don't know where you find these car but I promise you are the first person I am going to go to when I am blessed with the funds I need to take one of these things on thank you for the video keep coming my name is Manny o

Awesome!
Just bought a red ‘81 z28 with the 350 and 4 speed manual. So excited to restore it!

Your right. I had a 79 Trans am with a 403 automatic 185hp. My Friend had an 80 190hp 4spd Z28. We raced a few times, he beat me, every time
I've had a few of these 76-78-2 .79s 68 convertible . This one you have is very nice and worth the price. You do a great job advertising these cars.
Beautiful car. Should be an easy sell. Damn shame so many of these year Camaros were trashed back in the day. Hard to find nice ones these now.
Beautiful, everytime I see a camaro of that Era reminds me of "Fast Times at Ridgemond High" Jeff Spicoli at the wheel...
Fun fact: The 85 mph speedometer was so you couldn't hit 88 mph and go back in time.

Agreed. If i wa sin the market for a fun interesting Cars and Coffee car... this would be it.
My first car was a ‘81 Z just like that except mine had silver stripes. When you kick it down the flaps in back of the cowl are supposed to open.
Your cars look nice but the test drives show all the issues that's going to need fixed
My first car was just like this but had red interior and rougher shape and broke down a lot. I still loved it.

Dude, the undercarriage shots were AMAZING! Genius idea!
Glad you liked it!! Thank you
My dream car! Down to the paint color and t-tops.
i like these more and more t top would be nice to love the way they painted these you can tell its from the 1980's
Love it ! Got an '80 sans t-tops and magnesium wheels. The idle and back up lgts are weird. But this thing is definitely a blast from the past. My wheels from class of '87.
Would love one just to take out for sunday drive...cheers
though these Z28 we're pretty anemic of H.P. they looked great and had enough to make it sound like V8 should
Beautiful Z28, reminds of the firebird my cousin had years ago.
Beautiful Z!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
Nice Camero! I had a 78 Z28 with a stroker.
Though she's not a race car she'd be awesome to cruise around in😎
if it got very good wet sanding i think bring alot life back into that paint this car was nice
They put AC controls in the Gove Box sometimes?? Dont think so, pal. Nice try. Wtf?! ;)
I saw one of these in the parking lot of a Cabela’s a few weeks ago
Noticed the backup lights only came on in park. While driving they are out or when the key is turned off
Those columns are the same columns are used to put the automatic on they just moved it to the floor so when you shift it from reverse to drive to park it actually moves on the column also it’s just that this column is not moving all the way up into the park position and that’s why the reverse lights are staying on

How does these cars pass state inspections if the horn doesn't work?

In the spring of 1990, I was about three days shy of paying the cash balance and taking a black with red interior, T-Topped '81 off a guy's hands, when his nasty little punk teenage brother, upset about not getting the Z28 handed down to him, took the car behind the owner's back, got rip roaring drunk, and totalled it by driving it into the side of a city bus... I was pissed, but what could I do? It wasn't meant to be, and besides, the little punk brother wound up at the hospital, in traction for three months as a result of his vindictive stunt! Instead, I took the cash I had and put a hefty down payment on a more sensible, brand new economy car, put a nice sound system in it, and dumped the rest of the money in the bank... I didn't bother to look for another '81, as finding the one in decent condition was a chore in itself!
