Which Planes Can Do A Post-Stall Maneuver? Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Analyzed #1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 бер 2019
- Not all planes can do a post-stall maneuver. Only some with great maneuverabilty will be able to do it. All the top tier planes can do it, for example: the F-22A, F35C, and many more.
In this video, I will be testing out all the planes in AC7 to see if they can do a post-stall maneuver or not.
I'll be giving crosses for planes that can't do a post-stall maneuver and checks if they can do a post-stall maneuver.
Hope you enjoy the video. Like, Subscribe and share this video with your fellow aces. - Ігри

Being the worst aircraft ever
Somewhere a physics textbook is bursting into flames.
Somewhere a physicist is having multiple explosive brain aneurysms.
Well technically speaking it’s not breaking the properties of physics. 🤓
@@bomberex7809 it most certainly is. Aerofoils do not work this way and neither does fluid dynamics as a whole.
Some Toast yes the graphics make the maneuvers look way to geometric then they actually would be but fighter jets are built to be unstable so they can make extremely sharp maneuvers. I do agree some of the aircraft like the f-18 made way to sharp of a maneuver. But you would be surprised at how well some aircraft can turn especially those with thrust vectoring like the f-22s or the Sukhois.
You know what now that I am looking at the video for the second time it does look like they really messed up the maneuvering graphics and the loops. The pugachevs cobra is possible but the graphic makes it look like some of the aircrafts are able to compete a full loop in the size of like the body of an aircraft. In real life that would be super difficult to do with even thrust vectoring. On top of that how would even an experienced pilot control that. Anyway what I am ranting about is that you are right that this game really bends what an aircraft can do.

LOL wtf
It can.
The Raptor has a clearly superior T/W ratio, better wing loading, and overall better aero (especially in combat configurations) than all the Flanker jets.
Performance and maneuverability wise, the F-22 is totally superior against all of the Flanker jets.

A long time ago, an evaluation was carried out by DERA (Defence Evaluation and Research Agency) which proved this basically:
web.archive.org/web/20060618012306/eurofighter-typhoon.co.uk/Eurofighter/tech.php
"...
_In addition to these overall combat performance results a number of individual comparisons have been made available. Of enormous importance for BVR combat is acceleration at medium altitudes and here the Eurofighter's acceleration at Mach 0.9 and 22,000ft equals that of the F-22. At supersonic velocities (Mach 1.6 and 36,000ft) the sustained turn rate of the Eurofighter betters all but the F-22, while its instantaneous turn rate is superior to the F-22. At low altitudes, Eurofighter can accelerate from 200kts to Mach 1.0 in under 30 seconds. In a similar vain to its supersonic performance, the sustained and instantaneous subsonic turn rates of the Eurofighter are bettered only by the F-22. Only the Rafale comes close to the matching the Eurofighter's capabilities in these comparisons_
..."
Oh and TVC?
There's no such thing as "3D TVC" in none of the Flanker jets.
Thrust vectoring in the Flankers is just "2D" like in the Raptor.
Even in the Su-57, it's thrust vectoring is just "2D" as well. Anyone can see that just by looking/reading the PAK FA patent:
robotpig.net/aerospace-news/sukhoi-t-50--pak-fa---official-patent-analysis-_2158
robotpig.net/_images/posts/t50_12.jpg
The only main difference between the TVC in the Flankers/Su-57 and the TVC on the Raptor (besides nozzle design and materials), is that the nozzles in the Sukhoi jets work in a V pattern like this: "\-/" .
While the nozzles in the Raptor work like this "I-I", straight up and down.
There are some videos here on UA-cam where one see in a more close and detailed way, how the TVC system works in sukhoi jets. And by watching that anyone can clearly see that everything I said above it's true.

Ace Combat 7 prerequisites to do a psm: Be even remotely related to the Su-27;
Have any form of thrust vectoring;
Be a MiF-29;
Be an F-35
Or be an F-18 super hornet;
Reality: somehow I doubt some of those aircraft can really pull PSM and I could see some of the planes that could not do it here do it in real life. I know the F-18 can as I have seen it do it in person, but I doubt the f-35 can. The F-22 and many (but not all) of the Su-27 derivatives make sense since many of them have powerful thrust vectoring engines. The MiG-29 I can sort of see being able to since it has similar capabilities to the f-18 (I also think there is a version with thrust vectoring engines). The Su-34 I have my doubts about. There is also a Swedish plane that is able to do psm.

I guess 2 years ago were the times... I play the game for month and without post stall manouver spam you can't win 90% of dogfights... Unless you have QAAM'S
Almost all contemporary air to air kills have been the results of missiles fired at a relatively significant distance. Many modern fighter aircraft still retain guns for an in close maneuvering dog fight, but none has occurred in some time on official record.
Indeed, many kills are done with BVR missiles.
that's when they use the fox 2's
They retain the cannons now because, while most combats are at distance, BVR fights, there is always a possibility that both sides survive the initial BVR missile exchange and it gets to a dogfight. "Possibilities are low, but never zero"
Guns are kept for pilot confidence

Best jet fighter... ever...
@@irfan_syah5993 eh I wouldn’t say that but it’s up there
Nah, that's the Su-37 with its thrust vectoring... unless the Su-47 had it too.
For Xbox (and I would assume ps4 players too) you do this by while having your stick neutral at 260 or below (mph) throttle up and down and then pull up on stick. Basically high g turn with no prior movement below 260 and you should pull into it. Just tap the throttles to initiate. If you hold the breaks it won’t allow long term psm. Higher performance planes can be chained from one move to the next
Just for clarification, the reason why so few US aircraft can do this while almost the entire Russian jets are available is because the US favors power over maneuverability in air, while the Russians do the opposite, maneuverability over power which is why the Sukhois have those two little fins near the nose (forgot what those are called).
This is the reason why the USAF designed the F-22 to be very maneuverable in the first place, to beat the Russians when it comes to air-to-air combat.
the little fins are called canards
What the Mig 25 does to a MF
It’s more on the fact that the US have been building advanced air-to-air missiles that is capable of beyond visual range combat and considered "Supermaneuverability" as counterproductive to BVR because it leaves an aircraft in a vulnerable position if it ran out of speed and gets splashed by an enemy missile...
Canards (little wings) are not for maneuvers. They are for stability.
@@SerjLevonyuk no, literally no.
In fact they're detrimental to stability, the point of them is to provide higher nose authority at the cost of stability, and they make up for the lost stability through fly-by-wire tech.
the idea that its somehow for stability is literally a myth

I wish ace combat would update their game to make the planes more unique to their abilities
same here
I feel sad about most of modern jets in Ace Combat 3, they subconsciously removed some of aircraft unique abilities that the others might don't possess. I remember from Ace Combat 2, some planes have stealth technology that made them unique to themselves.
For example, no matter how advanced your plane's stealth technology, 2040's COFFIN radar detects almost every single plane on map display. Regarding its very advanced simulated timeline, no wonder why stealth technology render useless there.
They might if they reach 2040 something
