Well I am a patient of this man and unfortunately I can no longer hear in my left ear. So while it is successful it can go wrong and when it goes wrong, it goes really wrong.

Is there anyone (anywhere in the world) working on alternatives to surgery? I have otosclerosis in my right ear and I want to join the military. The surgery is not a viable option for me.

I did the surgery in my ear at India and after that my hearing improved a lot but I had side effect too. Now it is with me. Side effects:
    1. feel Dizziness and it’s prolonged more than days. I have been admitted 3 times on emergency basis at hospital for the dizziness. Also body balance problems while walking. More then 5 yeas I can’t drive as instantly I couldn’t move my neck to other side.
    2. Test gone few portions of my Mouth.

I had a stapedectomy as a child (around 25 years ago). Ever since, I've dealt with hearing a distinct ringing sound at certain volumes/pitches/tones instead of whatever I'm listening to. I don't know if that is normal, but I've grown quite used to it. Now, though, my hearing seems to be fading again. Is this just because I'm aging? Is there anything that can be done? I very much feel like the embarrassed little girl I once was: constantly saying "what?" and pretending to hear.

    Excellent Video.
If things go wrong, do you lose hearing from BOTH ears or that operated one only!
    Please do answer.
    Thanks

Its been 5 days after my surgery and have the same issue. Especially when belching. My doc said it should subside by time and may take few weeks. Hope your mom gets well soon.
