UNSC Trooper figure
Super glue
Paint brush
Pin Vise (Found at hobby and comic stores)
Black paint
1/8" Drill Bit
5/64" Drill bit
2 weapon pegs
Wire cutters
Pliers
Blowdryer

I went to target to get some new halo reach figures. I saw the marine pack and said I should get this and the I remembered you review and I bought the noble 6 figure instead.
Hey, thanks for the tutorial, I just did it with my reach ODST! I'm waiting for the glue to dry and cant wait to give him new weapons!

I was hesitant to purchase these figures because of all the negative feedback I've read and their lack of articulation but I think I'll get them and use my dremmel on them. Thanks for the tutorial.
VERY VERY NICE tutorial video. Love BGM lol. Is this the first one you did because it was really great. I have all those tools and was planning to do just about the same(except using 3mm plastic sticks for pegs)
One question, how much space is there in upper arm to drill in before hitting the joint? (ie length of peg) Is it long enough that the arms wont easily pop out?

Dude, You're good!!! I was gonna' buy this two pack, then I saw your video and you said "don't buy em". Now, looking at this video, I wanna' buy em' but you're gonna' have to do it for me. You're price is excellent. If you're still modding these figures, I'll let you know when I'm able to start this process.

If you can cut the arm straight then it should turn out very nicely if you follow steps. If you kind of cut it at an angle, it will still be snug, but won't be as good when you turn the arms.

Lol at Games-workshop materials, when i saw the hobby knife and pinvice I was thinking of warhammer as well, because I do a lot of pinning with my miniatures :D

Got an ODST with this modification off of eBay but the peg snapped. Do you think it’s a good idea to make it so the fat part of the peg goes slightly into the arm to support the smaller part of the peg.
is there any way ti tighten the joints of my figures? my red team leader leg is getting loose
i think i might send it to you to do this but how i know i get it back al do u think u can make it so they can sit down in a warthog
does this work with the other marine the halo 3 one?
Would'nt you just need to:
1.cut off arm
2.drill holes into arms
3.glue peg into place
4.reattach arm
You would need a drill bit small enough to fit the peg hole size, not to mention a drill would basically destroy the figure. I would highly recommend a dremmel instead.

Be sure you are heating them up long enough. If you don't, then it will be muuuch harder to cut. And no, I would not try and cut it like a saw motion.

i want to do this to my troopers but i dont have a blow dryer but i can put my hobby knife in an open flame, whill that work if i go slowly?

Is it possible to use this customising method on the series 8 Marines? Their arms are a good deal thinner.

I filmed it today, now I need to record the voice over and just put it together. So hopefully later tonight.
i bought mine today and tried to mod them but i couldnt cut through. should i just keep appling more strength to cut or cut it off like a was using a saw?
how did you managed you lock the pins inside the arms so they wont come off when rotating them ??
is there anything other than weapon pegs that could be used?

I'm actually the markemyer guy,(I used my dad's account without knowing it) and I really need to have the answer to the question ASAP. Does the series 4 marine have the same design (not articulation) as the 2 pack in the bisep? Because it looks like I'll damage the arms if I cut directly below the black strap. So should I cut on the strap, or as instructed?

Yea I was thinking of getting a pack with these troopers but need it modded if I do. And you never said where to send to
You need a Dremel, hair dryer and some matching color paint. Use the hair dryer to heat the knee joint area and pull the leg out. Then use the dremel to grind just a bit of a gouge out of the back of the (Top)leg/knee Joint area. repeat and paint. There is a video on here somewhere.
second done but one of the pegs broke so im haviing to re drill the hole in it hope they last

i would not of thought of doing that but then again the only customized figures ive made are halo spartan body and street fighter cammy and sakura heads.
