  • Let's compare two different filaments from the same manufacturer: Hi Speed PLA+ vs PETG by JamgHe. Let's check the printability and the mechanical properties.
    All test objects are printed on Creality K1 on 300 mm/s (for PLA+) and 200 mm/s for PETG. AMS Riser from PETG was printed on Qidi X-Max3 on 300 mm/s speed.

    👍👍Thanks for the professional tests, it was Suprise that regular petg runs well on K1, for K1 with hi-speed pla+, if you use default setting, try at 200 degree, the surface will be great.

      I don't like to print PLA on 200C, I worry about the layer adhesion.

      I am printing PLA on CR-10 SE at 240°C at 300mm/s. At those high speeds even 220°C is too low for many PLA-s despite Volcano-length nozzle

    Thanks for the video. I have tried quite a few different filaments and recently ordered a roll of jamghe HS pla to try out. We will see how it prints and how it compares to other brands like the sunlu meta pla etc

    Hi Igor,
    Thanks again for all your work on the filaments, it is appreciated.
    Another test which I would find useful, especially on the TPU, ASA, and PETG materials would be abrasion resistance.

      Tom, you are reading my mind, that's exactly what I am preparing, but it requires some time to figure out the test equipment.

      @@MyTechFun , that’s good news. Have you thought about weighing a test piece and then dragging a weighted file across it several times then re weighing the test piece? It would simulate my problem, which is the part being dragged over rocks.

    Good tests (as always) The Jamghe high speed PLA+ looks like it might be a good option, as it’s much more affordable on Amazon than the name brand PLA+ formulations. People on Amazon did complain about mild stringing though, which you also seemed to experience. I wonder, did you dry it before using? Some others on Amazon found the filament to be rather wet out of the box.

    The Pla + hardened during temperature test. I wonder if its a good formula for annealing? Might be worth a test versus standard pla and HT- Pla.

    Creality seem to have a problem with tuning their stepper drivers in Klipper to remove VFA (not ghosting)

    Once VAT and import duties are applied the price doesn't seem that different from other filament I can get. For the Xmas holidays Sunlu had an offer of around €11/kg (+VAT) for PETG (at 6 spools), shipped from within the EU (so no annoying import costs - or risk thereof). Now, that was a nice deal.

    • @jamghe3dprinterresins735

      Hi,guy
      Jamg He filament are also ship from EU, if you take a took at bundle, prices are no different as Sunlu's, as factory, we can make anything cheaper, but for our own jamghe label, we stick on high quality at reasonable price, if you do trust us and @ my tech fun, get the promotion code to try one, over 50usd it is also free shipping, free tax.
      Thank you for your comment. If you have any other questions, please feel free to discuss with us.
      Sincerely
      JAMG HE

      Actually this Xmas I have bought Jayo PETG (Sunlu rebranded) from Germany warehouse shipped to my door in Italy in 3 working days for LESS than 9 €/kg (shipping and VAT included, 5 spools).
      It prints wonderfully (I have both Sunlu and Jayo and can confirm they are identical).

    Do you find yourself preferring to use the Bambu or the QiDi more on a daily basis? Or do you have no preference?

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  7 місяців тому +2

      Currently the printer I use the most is Qidi Xmax3 (but I have only P1P from Bambu). The X1C is still in the box (next to the Flashforge 5M Pro and Two Trees SK1)

    • @colinmsmall
      @colinmsmall 7 місяців тому

      @@MyTechFun I use an X1C and I want similar quality and speed etc… but I want a larger print volume, so the QiDi looks like a good option to me (possibly the only comparable option).

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  7 місяців тому +2

      @@colinmsmall The quality of X1C is better compared to Qidi (the printer itself, not the 3D printing) BUT I like Qidi because of additional functions (nozzle up to 350C, heated enclosure 65C, big volume..). Printing quality is similar.
