When I ride mine it's like those old school hot rods. They look old but that is deceiving. It's really a sleeper. It truly is a hot rod with the 114 engine. I really enjoy it. I thought the same thing when I first rode it. Were has this been? I was so surprised that I traded in my 2017 Street Glide special for my 2022 Heritage Classic all chrome. This is the last Harley that I will own now that I am 70 years old. So easy to back it out of the garage and so balanced when coming up to a stop light. A lot of times I don't even have to come to a full stop to put my foot down. Very happy rider.
The Heritage Softail was the first Harley I looked at when I wanted to upgrade from my Vulcan 800... and then I found the Road King [color hard bags FTW], and then I saw the Street Glide... and we all know how THAT ended :D Still a great-looking bike, that Heritage!
@@IronBornRider Maybe... but this was a while ago, back when they had soft saddlebags. The RK at the time was similar but had hard bags, which drew my eye... then the fairing of the SG :D
I have 22 Heritage and I love it I added the marching Tourpak and the Harley Davidson Hammock seat. At 5'7" I fomd it a great all around bike that fits me perfectly.
100% it is, I have a 2023 vivid black. Rides like a caddy, has the power and is 2-3 bikes in one. You can travel solo or two up. I am 6’4 220 and with the floorboards fits me just fine. Only changes I think are necessary to me are the rear taillight/turn signals and front turn signals, they’re bulbs and not led. Simple and cheap addition. Also the vivid black is blacked out so it doesn’t look as “old school” little more modern. Not to mention you can always add different bags etc, which change the bikes look. But for the money, you can’t go wrong. Swiss army bike, can do it all.
I heard somewhere that it’s one of Harley’s best selling bikes and I believe it. It’s impressive if that’s the case, given how little they advertise the heritage
@@IronBornRider also heard that, personally haven’t seen many out on the road but world wide I could definitely see it being on top. I wouldn’t trade it for anything though. You can travel or commute around town, feels way lighter than the listed weight too. Definitely recommend this bike for everyone, don’t like something on it? Change it lol, everyone loves adding things to their bike anyway.
Are you running stock seat? I just rode 170 miles and it’s hard for me to get comfortable. The seat is great for short rides idk what it is that I just can’t find them comfort zone.
@@KawaRider88 I have the day break Harley seat on it right now, very comfortable seat. I didn’t have any issues with the stock seat but I had that seat extra from my other bike, so I just put it on the heritage.
@@IronBornRider I know, haha. I rode both past a building that I can see myself in. Gotta see how I look on it. Once I save up some more(hate financing),I’m getting the LRST.
Spot on. I bought a ‘22 heritage cause it has the classic look. The bike looks and rides great. I’ll disagree with you on the seat but I’m 6’2” 250lb. After a few hours non stop it gets uncomfortable.
There's nothing that any of the m8 softails can't do. They really are the sweet spot for Harley models. Light, fairly nimble, and fun to rip around on. Then you can throw some luggage and the ole lady on and go on a trip.
It’s like putting a 1957 Chevy next to a Toyota or some other roller skate, Everybody loves the classic look of a machine over bland look of a disposable one.
Love the Heritage - looks like a 1950s FL Hydra Glide. Don't like the look of the newer square black studs. Either put the round chrome ones back on or just eliminate them completely. Glad they brought the chrome back. So tired of the blacked-out look on a bike classically styled like this. They need to bring the chrome back on the Road King too for the same reasons. Road Glides and Street Glides look awesome blacked-out.
The Heritage is definitely a timeless classic. Your right it can just about do anything. 🏍👍
@@TechNickRides thanks Nick!
Love my 2019. Ride greats, has the 114 so plenty of power.
It’s an awesome machine
I own a 2001 twin cam 88 heritage and it's a good all around cruiser/tourer
Love the twin cams

I used to have an 04 Heritage twin cam 88. Just upgraded to a 21 Heritage 114 deadwood green and black with very little chrome. I love my 21 Heritage.

Tour pack is a great idea for the heritage
How many miles do you have on the seat and how do you like it?
Assessment was right on, I love my Heritage it rocks😎
Thanks!
The mono shock is adjustable but it’s under the seat. I have the 2022 and love it
Yeah it would’ve been cool to have it on the outside similar to the fatboy.
2012 Heritage Softail Classic. I love my bike more than i love my mother.
Lol I get that
I like everything about the heritage except the headlights and windshield. Which is what makes it stand out.
I’m typically not a windshield guy but it serves a purpose

I'm 68 and found that changing to a Mustang seat with a rider back rest has been a worthy upgrade. My back sure appreciates it!
Most comfortable and nimble harley made.

Great utility tool
The best all-around Harley.

Downside for me to the Heritage is the lean angle and ground clearance. You scrape the floorboards way too soon.
Yeah I guess you can add a taller shock to help with that

Timeless
I like the heritage, I just dont like spoked wheels. I would rather just go for an older road king. I dont like the new road kings.
@@ChrisVanMiddelkoop yeah the spoked wheels do make me nervous on motorcycles because of the tube situation
Agree!
Besides the crappy rims with inter tubes there is no RDRS option.

The Road King rubber mounted motor is vastly smoother and the Road King handles way better, ask me how I know, I own both, Softail is for sale
I have to agree. The rks is a superior bike but comes at a cost for sure
