Had mine for just over a year now and love it for all the reasons you mentioned! Perfect little work commuter and errand runner doing it in style with great handling.
I just bought a used 2015 PCX150 3 weeks ago.. I've only driven my car 5 miles and zero mile on my two other full size motorcycles. Since i bought it.... its so much fun.. quick.more storage then my stratoliner.. Looks nice. easy to ride. Slingshot around corners. Hit 65 MPH. All the time.. everything said in the video.😊
Ridding a Kymco Like 200i ( 2012 ) has a 164 cc engine and 12.5 hp. I am 79 now but have been looking at the Honda ADV for my next ride. Enjoying your video, all I have to do now is justify the cost. The best my Kymco has done is a little over 80 mpg and can cruise at 50 mph and top speed is in the 55+ range. Big choice to make, time is short. Problem is the dealer in Kingman AZ is a Harley shop and does nothing to promote Honda's or Yamaha's.
heck yeah!! Just got mine today! loving it! my only gripe is the seat height since I'm at 5'7" over here. I'm gonna have to address that with rear springs or a custom seat or both. Otherwise It's damn near a perfect bike. Funny, I started with a vulcan 750, then my 2nd bike was a rebel 250, and now my third is the adv150. Power ain't everything. This type of bike is pure riding in a simple and badass looking package.
Did you change the seat? I am 5'7" also and ride a Burgman 650. I just scoot a little forward when stopping and I can flat foot. I'm getting the ADV next month and hopefully will be able to do the same
@Darkmatter321 never changed the seat I just had to lean when I stopped. A little uncomfortable but not the end of the world. I spent most of my time on country roads hauling hahah
Your channel inspired me getting my ADV150. Traded in my first bike Rebel 300 due to lack of seat time and motivation to ride. My goal is to get used to street riding on the scooter then transition to dual sport bike. Please post more vids on ADV150 because it just looks awesome.

One feature that I really appreciate is the little to none warm up time that scooters need as compared to motorcycles, I had both, and for a quick run the scooter will be out the door a lot quicker
it's interesting to me that bike culter in the US or North America don't consider scooters as a "motorcycle", scooters are either an afterthought or just a different category altogether. In where I live scooters are put in the same category of any other motorcycle and scooters dominate the road in terms of motorized 2 wheel vehicles, it's also given the same respect as any other motorcycle. I randomly came acroos your're channel and I appreciate what I have been seeing in terms of scooter content, it's so refreshing to see someone in that part of the world, on where bike culture is different and scooters aren't seen as how we see it, make content about scooters. Enjoy the ADV, it's currently one of the best selling scooters in his category, adventure scooters, in this part of the world, they already have the ADV 160 version out in the market over here.
In America most guys tie what they ride to their masculinity. They think riding a scooter makes them less of a man….lol Myself, I don’t care what they think. I ride what I enjoy.
True, in the US, scooters are looked down on as not "manly" or only for college kids that can't afford a car. You almost never see scooters where I live - only fat old guys on Harleys when they aren't in their stupid enormous trucks and a few sport bikes (any motorcycle is dangerous here due to the extremely bad, incompetent drivers and huge trucks/SUVs everybody has so bikes are rare on the street). My wife wanted it just to explore back roads (we also cycle) but I think its a very practical machine too.
I’ve owned my 2022 ADV 250 since Aug 2021. I average about 94-108 mpg. It’s been about one of the nicest scooters I’ve ever own. I like the way it climbs hills with acceleration plus.👍
I agree on all your points. Been riding for 25 years, super sports, sport touring, dual sports, everthing from 250cc to liter bikes, and am only 5’4”. Sold everything when I got kids but since picked up an adv160. Absolutely love it. Light and easy to ride. Setting up and taking out my big bikes was a chore. Its great to take it out for short trips and errands. I have a box in the back and along with under the seat, provides enough storage for a cart full of groceries. And yes i love the looks of it. I wish we had the 350 here in the states so i can try, but the extra weight might put me off, but would be nice to have both maybe lol.
@@GasWorksISO where do I start? more stability less wind deflection, more mass so more able to stay on course where you point it, heavier so more pounds per square inch for tire to road adhesion, therefore safer braking and handling in wet conditions, heavier bikes are usually longer so even more stability and handling on highways etc. Usually, a heavier larger bike will have a more stable rake angle on the forks. Sounds crazy but if you did happen to hit something your body will fair better, injury wise. They are generally a larger profile , making it that tiny bit easier to be spotted by other drivers. A larger motor usually has a heavier or larger flywheel, helping to "smooth out" the power delivery, making it slightly safer in slippery conditions. Heavy bikes have wider tires. plus ask any Harley rider, they are actually EASIER and more relaxing to ride. I could go on, but it has taken me a lifetime to realize this as I used to be a light bike lover most of my life, but I urge you to try some experiments and you may well agree with me.
Other than being slightly easier for other vehicles to see, there are no safety advantages of larger motorcycles. A riders safety is 99% dependent on themselves, not the bike. Ultimately it’s us that put ourselves in dangerous situations. Awareness determines probability.
@@GasWorksISO do you have ANY capability to think laterally ? you bought yourself a cheap toy. Youve ridden no others and you are on the net giving advice to others. You are like a child at christmas who was given a toy and now you MUST prove to the world that your toy is the ulimate. hahahaa
I guess great minds think alike, LOL ! For my return to Moto sporting after many decades, I settled on getting the Honda Adv 150 (160 ? ) and the Kawasaki Versys 300 as my choices, - though I wish I could afford both. The Honda for around town utility & fun, the Kawasaki for light adventure touring / higher speed distance riding on interstates. I think both bike’s design really hit their targets for their functions. Take care, ride safe, and savor the rides !
I have a 2016 PCX 150 and love it. Because I love it so much l also have a Suzuki Burgman 400 when I want to hit the freeway or get the adrenaline going. Live in Mesa, Arizona and a scooter works great here due grid work 45 mph streets.
@@enforcer0011 haven't sat on both as the 160 replaces the 150 here, but according to the Honda specs, the 160 has a lower seat height. Seems to me it would be a lot of scooter for a small person - if somebody was really small I would think a Super Cub would be easier to handle.
I have a Moto Guzzi V50ii and an old CX500. I almost always prefer to ride my cub c125. Scooters are so light weight and easy to ride. I cant count the number of times I have taken the Guzzi or CX500 off of the stand to push out of the garage only to put it back after feeling the weight and riding out on the Cub.

I have a 2013 honda pcx 150 and I love it . That windshield on yours if it were mine would have to go it looks like something has taken big bites out of it.
I got a Lifan E3 electric scooter in 2021 and as you say its the ideal around town bike. I do prefer its large flat floor though. That way I can bring heavy shopping bags or a 30kg bag of dog food between my legs.
I meant Honda ADV 150👍 I believe the same as you and will not modify gearing of clutches. Honda designed this scooter for long engine life, enjoy it for what it is. Want more power, buy a bigger bike with more CCs🤔👍
Sounds positive. I don’t like some of the new LCD readouts. Would prefer if they used the original analog read out, like Royal Enfield, or have both the LCD and round speedometer some bike have.
I do think that scooter is very nice scooter personally though I ended up going with the Honda super cub 125 so I bought it used with 9 miles on it for $3300 so new I think this particular scooter that you have I think is about $6000 new which for a vehicle is not bad And it does go a little faster and it can take two passengers and a box on the back and with my cub I have to choose between a rear seat or a box on the back it does not have room for both. But for me that’s OK because I’m not carrying any passengers and my top speed with all of my accessories on it is 50 to 55 miles an hour slower if you’re going uphill faster if you’re going downhill, but I do really like the fact that the cup has gears and you have to use them, but you don’t have to manipulate the clutch with your left hand so that’s pretty cool And I’m under the impression that since it is a standard it’s slightly more reliable overtime as far as the transmission is concerned, but I was told that the Cvt transmission in this vehicle is very reliable as well so for reasons of price and having to use gears, I went with the cub but I do think this scooter is very sexy no homo
I rode the same bike for 3000kms adventure, and yes, it lacks cruise control. Took toll on my right pointy finger, muscle strain for 3 mos. Nevertheless, bike is so awesome!
I also ride several motorcycles and like you my driving is almost all urban commuting to work or running errands. My Piaggio Liberty 150 ABS is more fun than my "serious" bikes. I can park on the sidewalk here in Berkeley and Oakland, California and nobody cares. Lastly the Liberty is an unattractive bike, which I prefer due to being less attractive to steal and not getting bent if a car tips it over as I bought it used at a steep discount. I find it amusing that you could have replaced "motorcycle" with "bicycle" in your video. I have a serious bicycle but running errands on my cheap beater bicycle is generally more fun than a serious multi-hour ride on a serious carbon frame race bicycle. For those riders that have a long freeway component in their everyday riding a larger cruiser-style motorcycle is obviously superior.
I've tried 2 times to buy a Honda ADV 160 that is at a dealer near me since last fall. Talked on the phone to 2 different sales people about my intentions of wanting to buy one with a Honda Credit card I already have with $12,000 worth of credit on it and physically went to the dealer twice a couple months apart and again talked to different sales people twice as far as what the OTD price is. "We'll call you in a day or 2" they said. Maybe I have B/O or moose breath I guess because a month later still no call and I still have no ADV 160...
When I move to Philippines in 8 months I will buy a Honda. An ADV 160, Click 160. or Airblade 160. They are all popular down there. I haven't decided which yet.
In the Philippines, the Airblade and the Click have drum brakes at the rear. Difference between the two is the Airblade has dual shocks at the rear while Click has mono shock. The ADV has disc brakes both front and back, and has dual Showa shocks at the rear. The ADV here also is not in gloss finish but in matte finish.
Been about one month now and fuel pump has been replaced. Lucky I have the zero deductible warranty on scooter. It would of been over $1,100 dollars.😬 I average about 108 mpg👍
'FAST' is overrated. People are paying for performance they'll never get close to using. As for the practicality of a scooter - bikes can't get close. I currently ride a bike, but I'm being drawn ever closer to the scoot world. Probably the ADV 350. We'll see...
Yea just got in from riding mines “Love it” only think that bothers Me is my key light blinks every now an then.. I don’t know what it means. I change the batteries in my key thob even charged my bike..still does it 🤷🏾♂️
Have you done any long trips on it? How does it feel after 3 hours (relative to your other bikes)? How does it feel on crappy, cracked, potholes-ridden roads (relative to your other bikes)?
It’s good. The seat could benefit from a pad, but otherwise it’s really comfortable. The longest trip I’ve taken was about 5 hours in the saddle. My Harley caused more fatigue, my Versys needs a better seat, and my Monkey only suffers from being slower. All in all, it’s great for afternoon trips. Some day I’ll take it on a longer one.
You left out one of the best advantages of a smaller displacement scooter - parking. You can park darn near anywhere and no one cares. I have parked on sidewalks, right beside the front doors of Walmarts and grocery stores and have even parked beside bicycle racks on the sidewalks of store fronts and no one has ever batted an eye or said a word. Try that with a Harley and see how long before it gets ticketed or even towed. With a scoot, no one even notices or cares if they do happen to notice.
Ooops, I didn't pay attention to the end!!! Yep, that's the best part of owning a scoot,,,,,, Nobody cares. Nobody cares about much of anything you do on a scooter. They just think it is an old fart on a big moped and within a second or two you are forgotten.
If anyone is looking for an adv 150 just like this one, used , 6000 miles on the clock, new pirelli angel scooter tires, for sale for 3000 dollars at the yamaha dealership in Johnson Creek Wisconsin
How is general quality. I am a motorcycle detailer and I get lots of Honda scooters and other low end bikes to do from local garages and individuals and I am appalled at the corrosion. I know I live in wet Ireland but last week I had a year old Honda 125 that was riddled with rust. Guy was telling me that they are making them in China now and using low grade parts and paint/corrosion protection procedures and its showing.
Yup scooters are great, and park all your bikes on sidewalks no cares I do et all the time. I would like a scooter that does 100mph . And a lot of them will do 100+ mph.
If your location allows you get excited about going a whole 45mph, then brother, you have your bike! For other locations, like mine, 45mph quickly turns to 55mphm and beyond. You made _NO_ statements "of love" about the top-end speed of the ADV 150; I guess it's not that great, eh?
I own a 2022 Honda ADV 150 I bought new. With just about 3,000 miles of enjoying I went on vacation for😅 a week and come home to a No start scooter. I checked spark and it was fine. Having put a fresh tank of gas and a new battery in recent weeks I figured I was set to go. It’s in the Honda shop now. This is truly the first time I have ever heard my scooter starter crank over since owning🤔 We will see how long it takes to diagnose and repair.🙁 I’ve owned many Honda scooters over the years and this is the first time I’ve ever been let down.🫣 8:56

I think I am going to buy one.
For an older person, I’m assuming the ADV is more comfortable than the Monkey??
I've tried 2 times to buy a Honda ADV 160 that is at a dealer near me since last fall. Talked on the phone to 2 different sales people about my intentions of wanting to buy one with a Honda Credit card I already have with $12,000 worth of credit on it and physically went to the dealer twice a couple months apart and again talked to different sales people twice as far as what the OTD price is. "We'll call you in a day or 2" they said. Maybe I have B/O or moose breath I guess because a month later still no call and I still have no ADV 160...
I have a 2023 ADV150 and after 900 miles, my onboard computer says I am getting 101.8 miles per gallon.
Nice vid I'm getting the new ADV 160cc live in south-east Asia very affordable here ;-)
When I move to Philippines in 8 months I will buy a Honda.
Thx for the vid. I’m wanting to get a scooter for DoorDash delivery. Thx
ABS is ONLY on the front wheel!
Been about one month now and fuel pump has been replaced. Lucky I have the zero deductible warranty on scooter. It would of been over $1,100 dollars.😬 I average about 108 mpg👍
Honda is NOT as good as they used to be. That scooter is not even built in Japan anymore.
What is your method of locking-down/security the bike while you are inside shopping?
'FAST' is overrated. People are paying for performance they'll never get close to using. As for the practicality of a scooter - bikes can't get close. I currently ride a bike, but I'm being drawn ever closer to the scoot world. Probably the ADV 350. We'll see...
The ADV has far superior suspension compared to the Honda PCX.
and still extremely bumpy!
Hi, just wondering if you are in British Columbia, it looks really nice where you ride 👍
Yea just got in from riding mines “Love it” only think that bothers Me is my key light blinks every now an then.. I don’t know what it means. I change the batteries in my key thob even charged my bike..still does it 🤷🏾♂️
Where did you keep your key fob at? Try changing your keyfob battery
I just got the 160 get one if you dont already have one!
Congrats! I feel like the 150 and 160 are so similar, either one would make anybody happy.
my dealer wanted 6570 out the door price and 15 percent interests said no thank you sir
@@GasWorksISO That's really good to know. Thanks!
For those who have riden the ADVs & the PCX. How do yoy think they compare?
What kind of windshield did you get? I'm looking at one myself. 😊
They just think it is an old fart on a big moped and within a second or two you are forgotten.
you did NOT watch till the end did YOU?
If anyone is looking for an adv 150 just like this one, used , 6000 miles on the clock, new pirelli angel scooter tires, for sale for 3000 dollars at the yamaha dealership in Johnson Creek Wisconsin
Sorry if I missed it but did you say which year yours is?
How is general quality. I am a motorcycle detailer and I get lots of Honda scooters and other low end bikes to do from local garages and individuals and I am appalled at the corrosion. I know I live in wet Ireland but last week I had a year old Honda 125 that was riddled with rust. Guy was telling me that they are making them in China now and using low grade parts and paint/corrosion protection procedures and its showing.
The ADV 150 seems to be really well built, but I guess time will decide. I think the build quality is very good!
@@GasWorksISO I read a comment a guy put 10k miles on his ADV 150 and only has done oil changes and transmission fluid changes so far.
yep Ive been VERY dissapointed in Honda lately. That adv150 only has ABS on the front wheel!
Dang good intro
Can you fit a full face helmet in that under seat storage? How about two of them?
No. A 3/4 would probably fit though.
im still deciding what scooter to get. the adv or pcx
They’re both really good! Tough decision..
Yup scooters are great, and park all your bikes on sidewalks no cares I do et all the time. I would like a scooter that does 100mph . And a lot of them will do 100+ mph.
Where do you live man? There are no cars on the road.
Are the tires tubed or tubeless?
tubeless
here in Belgium we can not bui the 150, only 125 and 350 what a shame honda.
Adv 160 gets 134mpg city/hwy
❤🎉
👍
Motorcycles are the only thing that is feasible in today’s world.😅
If your location allows you get excited about going a whole 45mph, then brother, you have your bike! For other locations, like mine, 45mph quickly turns to 55mphm and beyond. You made _NO_ statements "of love" about the top-end speed of the ADV 150; I guess it's not that great, eh?
It will hold 60mph with some to spare. It's a 150cc engine. it does exactly what I need it to do. I have other bikes if I want to go faster.
@@GasWorksISO That's GREAT! Living in an apartment and having only a storage locker limits my bike choice to perhaps just one.
Nobody cares 😂😂👍🇬🇧
Not at all!!!
This is truly the first time I have ever heard my scooter starter crank over since owning🤔 We will see how long it takes to diagnose and repair.🙁 I’ve owned many Honda scooters over the years and this is the first time I’ve ever been let down.🫣 8:56
What was the issue ?
