I love this air conditioning video series. And I love the way you even show us all your screwups to show that nothing is as easy as it’s supposed to be.
Well Michael I found your you tube by chance. I am looking to up grade my a/c on my 83 SC. I agree nothing like having a/c while driving the heat trap. I will review your video when I go electric. Yes, my car came with an a/c which doesn’t work. I am looking at Griffith system. Thanks for your efforts in bringing the retro-electric to the public view. Your awesome. Best to you in your endeavors in making THE car better. Yes, I too would like an update on how things are going with your a/c and how the center vent turned out.
Congrats on a really nice, well-done video series and your successful install! From your wrap-up, I really appreciate the insight about making early P cars more accessible & enjoyable for people that don’t always want to smell oil & sweat.
Michael, awesome work! I saw that you fine tuned everything at the end! I am definitely considering installing this kit on my 87 911 that currently needs a new AC system!
This might be the AC solution for my 356. Over the years, some folks have added traditional AC with a big compressor on the engine, but there are miles of hose since the evaporator is mounted if front of one of the front wheels.
How about a comment regarding what the A/C has been like for you since the initial install? Have there been any problems or is it still working and keeping things cool?
Would installation be much more straightforward for a G body? I have an SC as second car and a more modern car as daily. The SC doesn’t have air con at the moment and I’ve been thinking whether it’d be worthwhile to instal one. Enjoyed this series very much, keep up the good work!
Great information on this kit, nicely done. Question: Is the new fan/blower module itself significantly better than the factory blower in terms of the volume of air moved (not considering that you added a new vent through the clock)? In other words, if my 87' fan blower seems to be ok, is it worth the upgrade to the kit fan/blower if I do not intend to take the clock out of the dash? Second question: Is the new fan/blower noisier or quieter than the stock blower?

Glad it’s working well! This is a nice option for the early 911s and certainly should help the SAF (spouse acceptance factor - love it!).
I really think so. My next few months will seek to continue to improve the airflow and efficiency of the system. Stay tuned!
would love to see an update and longer-term review of the kit. thanks for a great video!

Awesome hack at 14:30
Could you please give us some information on inside temps? While at a standstill and while driving. What the temps are outside and in? Thanks!
