High Five! Your videos are getting better every time. The way you explain everything and communicate with the viewer etc. before you know it you are going to have a million subscribers!
He was using one of those hand held shields that come with all hobby welders. If you've ever tried to stick your head under a fender with a full face helmet on you would like this idea.
Congrats on the 15K, Michael! Well deserved :) Great to see you back on the Grey Ghost too. Looking forward to see the jobs get finished and wish you all the best on the trip
It would be worth cutting triangular pieces of alloy to act as a splash guard on the ends of the condensers nearest the rear wheel, will save the condensers, fans and electrics from rock damage. Make them fit with a gap all around both the fenders (wings) and the inner chassis for air flow, you can always either press louvres or add grill mesh or rubber flaps if you need more air flow through the splash panels 👍
Where can I source one of those Boxter condensers? Have a part number? Super helpful video by the way. I have a slant nose so my only option is to mount where you mounted your condensers
Any options to put the condenser's in on the underside of the front pan or front wheel wells? Would have tp run longer hose but would be beneficial weight-wise as well as thermally.
Hey when installing the classic retrofit Air conditioning system didn’t you have to upgrade the cars electrical wiring to be more robust to handle the added electrical requirements of the new air conditioning system? A Porsche targa 911 friend from Salem Oregon is installing the classic retrofit Air conditioning system in his car, and he said he found that he had to upgrade is wiring system just because of the air conditioning system requirements. really enjoy seeing much more more videos on the grey ghost the classic 911 in the future.
I would reach out to the AC company. My guess is that the answer is yes since I doubt your existing alternator puts out close to the 175 amps he installed here. If you plan to run a double condenser setup with 2 electric fans they you want as much excess electrical capacity as possible, especially if you spend much time in traffic with the engine near idle speed.

Yes, with the condenser behind the rear wheel it has to have a stone guard. Patience. :-)

lucky you to have a finished project to play with too
✋ Michael and congratulations on 15K subscribers! That Classic retro fit is expensive but I'm excited to see how it turns out! Kudos!!

I love Tessa tape.
Congrats on 15k….. are you planning to do any filming of the road trip?
Good vid bruh!
maybe consider that UV reflecting window tint. they make it clear if you dont want your windows darker. help that greenhouse stay cool.
I’ve definitely been thinking about it. I’m not sure if I can pull it off from the time I have.
Where can I get this kind of alternator?
Will it fit a beetle engine?
Like into its shroud
Congrats on the 15K! Nice to see the GG getting some love. Are you going to be shooting any video whilst on the road trip?

No sir. But it's sorted now!
There wasn’t a full Grey Ghost build series was there? I’ve only seen a couple of vids?

The alternator comes with heavy duty red and black cables as you can see in the video. That is all you need.
I’m thinking to order A/c Sys. for my 930 84 do you think I kneed the alternator to , ??

Definitely I’d get it.
