I love mine. I do get jams or misalignment sometimes but probably operator error, or I don't have the adjustment just right. I just finished 3d printing a case feeder for the press. Non stop as long as I don't get a jam. :)
I have one of these and absolutely over it. A must have for case prep. Midsouth shooters or Midway have great prices and inventory. I just knocked out de-priming around 350 .223 cases in about 45 minutes, just added the feed tube last night.
This has truly changed the way I'm able to process my brass and get it wet tumbled sooner. Doing 5.56 NATO is as easy and the newest swaging tool makes short work on those military crimps.
Hi Tim thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👍 ... here's the link: www.midwayusa.com/product/1022385797 ... if the link doesn't work head over to MidwayUSA.com and look for the Lee Deluxe Automatic Processing Press (APP) Single Stage Press Kit
WOW that bench is rock solid. Butcher block? I have the case feeder, collator and roller handle coming from midway this week. Can't wait. Loading the tube by hand over and over SUCKS. Got about 3-4k pieces of 9mm to resize and flare
Thank you for the compliment to my bench. Actually the benchtop is made out of a 1 3/4 inch solid core Birch door. With 10 Coats of Polyurethane. Congratulations on the new components that you have on have an order and coming to your reloading bench you're gonna love them👊😉🇺🇸
Great review watching the press in action. Looks like a great Lee press and very well made. As of today sells at MidwayUSA $74.06 and Ships Free. Best of luck with your new press and many years of safe reloading and shooting.. God Bless America 🇺🇸
Nice video. I’m working on setting one up to work with a Dillon case feeder, and a 3D bullet feeder for sizing powder coated bullets. Even though I have a progressive, it would be nice to have a dedicated deprimer prior to pin tumbling- while keeping gritty/ dirty brass out of the big press.
Exactly !!! Decapping/depriming is one of the dirtiest parts of reloading. Eventually it just reaks havoc on the ram. I don't care if you're running a single stage, a turret press or progressive press. I just can't stand the mess it leaves behind. Thanks for stopping by and posting a comment 😁. Happy reloading Brother 👍👊🇺🇸
I am seeing lots of different press setups . Do you have an item # or link for this exact setup ? I found the die but having an issue locating the press. Very new and your videos are very helpful
Try this: APP Automatic Processing Press Archives - Titan Reloading www.titanreloading.com/product-category/lee-precision-reloading-equipment/lee-presses/app-automatic-processing-press/ You also can find it at Midway USA and Midsouth Shooting Supplies. Thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👊 🇺🇸
Technically, yes, but there are people that have videos that use it as a complete press. I personally only use it for decapping😜 ... Thanks for stopping by and posting your comment👍👊🇺🇸
So far I used it twice and not impressed. I plan to try 9mm brass and see if it runs smoother. Used 38 special and had lots of hangups…especially with brass that wouldn’t fit in the X-Press shell holders.
This press can be a bit tough to get dialed in. It took me a dozen times or so to figure out the right riser to use and the correct bullet feeder adjustment height for different cases. I just did some 38 special a couple weeks ago and it ran thur great, I will say you should find 9mm easy to run 😉👊 don't give up on this awesome press its been a true work horse on my reloading bench.
Oh yes it does. I had done 528 pieces of LC 5.56 NATO cases before turning on the recorder. I will do another video showing rifle cases. This press is my work horse on decapping and swaging 5.56 cases. I've had this press since Christmas 2020 and use the hell out of it. Never thought about doing a video on it until the other day .... 🤔 what was I thinking 🤣😉
I am using the Lee universal decapping die. You can use a sizing / decapping die but it will not be as fast. Thanks for stopping by and asking a question please consider subscribing😉👊👍🇺🇸
This video shows my 1st step by depriming all my brass. Then I clean all my pistol brass in my ultrasonic cleaner. Then they are dried. Once those 3 steps are completed, I have brass that is then ready for resizing. I only resize brass after all these steps to maintain my sizing dies. Thanks for stopping by and watching 😜👊🇺🇸
Hello, what shell holder do you use with the 9mm, I have used the 19 which is supposed to be the correct one for 9mm but some shells come off with the unclamping die and the shell breaks
Hello, are you trying to decap and resize at the same time? The #19 Lee shell holder would be the correct one for this. I have heard other reloaders complaints about 9mm fitting loss in Lee shell holders ... I would recommend trying Hornady shell holder #8 for 9mm it seems to have better tolerance. If you are using the APP press to resize cases you also might want to lube them with Hornady One Shot case lube it will make it so much easier 😉 thanks for stopping by and watching Brother 👊🇺🇸
If you're trying to decap and resize at the same time you can't use the Lee Express shell #19 holder that passes through you need to use the regular shell holder for resizing. Number 19 for Lee number 8 Hornady. The Express Lee shell holder will not work for resizing it's only intended for decapping/Depriming
@dubillo If you are decapping and recizing you need to use a regular shell holder whether it's for Lee or Hornady. The Lee Express shell holder is only designed for decapping!!!
This is what I'm using it's made by New Design American Accurate Collator ... www.ebay.com/itm/324874201942?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fjxleKVxQVa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=CvlQigkhSJS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
The Lee APP press gets its speedy operation in part by the use of a new shell holder. It's called the X-press shell holder. The new shell holder allows the case to pass through the shell holder after the operations are performed. Resizing using this particular type of shell holder would not be advised due to the lack of holding power that a standard shell holder would provide you. Hope this makes sense ... thanks for stopping by and watching 😉👊👍🇺🇸
I use this press just to deprime my cases quickly and easily so I can get them into my wet tumbler for cleaning. Once they are deprimed and cleaned, then I finish the entire reloading process. Thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
I'm using a Lee Universal decapping die, not a resizing die. You can, however, use the Lee APP for resizing with a standard shellholder. It's not recommended to use the pass thru shellholder for resizing. Not enough of the case being held and will cause the case to get stuck in the resizing die. Thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
This press isn't ideal for resizing but it can be done. The main reason I don't resize at the same time is this set up for me decaps all my cases so I can wet tumble and have a clean case for resizing. This helps with keep my resizing dies stay clean and gives me die longevity.
That is a great question ... My answer is Don't Ever Try ... there are some videos out there that show people reusing the two components and adding some sort of primer compound and getting success. My final bit of advice Don't try and stay away from even thinking about it !!! Thanks again for stopping by and watching Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
JerrBear, I have seen this on Highboys channel as well and you both have me sold on its time savings.

Wow, that really sucks I haven't had that problem. What shell holder is giving you problems?
Were the brasses washed or lubed before decaping? And were the brasses resized at the same time?
Question #1-NO ... Question #2-NO ... thanks for stopping Brother 😉👊👍🇺🇸
That's how I run mine. Tumbled clean then de-prime re-size in one step. I do lube them with Pam. Then I wash again.

Do you size or just deprime?
I use this press just to deprime my cases quickly and easily so I can get them into my wet tumbler for cleaning. Once they are deprimed and cleaned, then I finish the entire reloading process. Thanks for stopping by and watching, Brother 😉👊🇺🇸
Does it resize and deprime since you are using the sizing die
