Gretsch's modern Ridgeland snares have a thick shell, 30-degree edges, and possess a solid tone and lots of presence and articulation. Die-cast hoops focus the overtones and allow for ease of tuning across all ranges.
"At nearly a half-inch thick, this stout shell made of maple, gum, and poplar, features a hybrid bearing edge that combines the classic Gretsch 30º edge with an old-school Broadkaster-style round over. The result is a warm, full-bodied tone with plenty of attack.
