The Gretsch Ridgeland Snare Drum Story

For nearly 40 years, Gretsch Drums have been hand-crafted in Ridgeland, South Carolina. It’s here that a team of dedicated artisans ensure that every drum delivers “That Great Gretsch Sound.”
At nearly a half-inch think, this stout shell made of maple, gum and poplar, features a hybrid bearing edge that combines the classic Gretsch 30º edge with an old-school Broadkaster-style roundover. The result is warm, full-bodied tone with plenty of attack.
Available in 5"× 14" and 6½ × 14" shell sizes in any USA Custom finish, the Ridgeland, Born in the South and made to inspire.

Paul , I bought 5x14 ridge land on your recommendation. It sounds great. I have 8x14 Broadkaster and noble and Cooley solid cherry giving a nice snare palette.

@@toothnail605 that’s correct that Now Keller makes the shells , it used to be Jasper from about 1959 through 2003 . No one ever thanked Jasper. Not all companies make there own shells anymore. The shells are a big part of the sound , but not all of it. 30 Bearing Edges , the silver sealer is said to have an effect on the sound , the die cast hoops also effect the sound. The shells are also made exclusively for Gretsch to their specific requirements ( shell composition and thickness of shells).

Hey Tim. At this time we do not offer those sizes, only the 5"and 6½". It's worth a try!
