Cabbage ENB's versatility on full display. I'm for sure taking a page out of your book for my modlist. Always a joy to see when you upload a skyrim video. :^)
I used veydosebrum a while ago and the grass was absolutely beautiful but my main problem with it is the grass didn’t feel dense i personally like skyrims grass to be so dense that you can barely see the ground so I use a fulkvangor+ origins of forest combo and that was the best decision I’ve made
The worst part of all of this is the required mods. You click on a mod that requires like 5 others then those 5 require another 5 each and before you know it 2 mods turned into 10
How's performance with this setup? It looks really like what I'm aiming for as a modern vanilla overhaul (maybe I would go for a slightly darker tone), but I'm not on the latest hardware. I have a 1060 6gb and an 8th gen i5, with 16gb of ram but looking to add another 16 I have around.
I know that I can't speak for everyone bur for me Skyrim is my home away from reality. !! I play as a big badass Nord Stormcloak Warrior who ABSOLUTELY LOVES his Ancient Nord Armor & accompanying Weapons. !! His Armor & Weapons were handled down from his father who honored the old Nordic Pantheon & from his mother he learned everything there is to know about botany who was a devout healer & Talos worshipper. !! 😁
Got everything to work but the tree mod. Idk why but im guessing im running out of VRAM for it which I find a bit hard to believe since im on an RTX 4080. Even with a fresh install of Skyrim and only that mod it CTD every time without fail. Not the end of the world Skyrim 3D trees and plants to me is more visually appealing since the trees are noice and thick.
I think zeus's edit of cabbage enb is the best looking version of cabbage enb yet. I got a video of it on my channel. Looks warm, realistic and still fantasy like. Really brings out the skyrim vibe well. And to offset the performance hit of skyrim's heavy enb's and mods, use FSR 3 frame generation mod. This will double your fps. I lock my skyrim to 30fps and double it to 60 via frame generation. To mitigate the latency hit I use nvidia reflex mod. And if you have hitting 30fps on native res, use upscaling like DLSS or FSR and then use frame generation on top.
No seriously, what GPU are you running these with? I just reached 5:51 of your video and I am already at 48 FPS with my 3070 😅 But, damn my game looks incredible with only 3 mods and ENB.
I really want to use cabbage enb. The problem is that I'm going to play a dark fantasy playthrough, so unfortunately grim enb is more suited for that :(
Using his YT channel to promote very stressing mods, asking you to join his 200 paid patreon supports or better yet -- buy one of "his" PCs. Just so you can run all of these mods. LoL. There are visual overhauls on wabba that are click-to-run. Don't support this stinker.
Why is every recent modlist going for mostly the same look and vibe? • NAT III weathers • Cabbage ENB • Lux • Ulvenwald or NOTWL trees • Skyrim 20xx or Skyland Texture pack • The same vivid landscape snow (with the worst tiling possible) Are people just going for whatever has the most downloads or endorsements? Most recent similar videos go for almost the same base setup, which is also the same boring look most clickbait "4K Ultra HD Next GEN RTX Blah Blah" videos go for. Nothing wrong with the individual mods, as those are all great, but the combination results in the same boring look everyone is trying to achieve recently. Also nothing against the channel, the videos obviously require a lot of effort and are extremely well edited and put together.
I havent seen anybody elese videos but if theyre trying to get the best look maybe these are just the best mods currently out, There hasnt really been any better competitor to LUX since it released and Skyland or Skyrim 2020X are the best and most comprehensive in their category (apart from maybe Skykings new texture pack but that releaseed while i was finishing this video) so it makes sense to me why they are used often
Trying my hand at ENB based modding. Getting mixed results so far. Nights are too dark and the days are too bright (washed-out) on forest roads (Riverwood) - I probably included too many mods as many ask for additional installs during their setup wizards. In some cases, it looks more natural but not really playable in that state. I've also noticed my game runs between 60-45 fps on an RTX 4080 on a 4k monitor and monster PC (16-core/128 GB ram). Trying to use Loot and/or Vortex to set the load order - which isn't easy. Before this, I only installed standard patches, CC content, new followers, and a few quality of life/balance changes.
Will these mods work on the newest version of Skyrim? Special edition? Sorry for the ignorance. Just updated to the latest version but still want to use these mods.
As I compare these I wonder what exactly is the goal of the mods? To make the game look "better", to make the game look more "real", or to make it more game like? I personally do not want my games to look like a replica of the real world because that's already where we are and I prefer the game style look of Daggerfall and Morrowind and detest the look of Oblivion.
The ENB is gonna have the most impact on performance. You could replace it with the Community Shaders series instead. It won't have all of the features but is much more performant.
My worry is what kind of rig do you need in order for the game to still be playable with all these visual mods, it looks amazing in video, but I'm wondering how does it play?
@@icanttiemyshoe9005 Dude... yes, you have a great rig. Most modlist you will get consistent 60fps and if you don't the lowest you'd get is prob in the fifties.
I wonder how many next gen skyrims are going to happen before people move on from the game. And yes im also talking about Bethesda who also wont move on from the game.
So I have to pay your patreon for you to give me..... a wabbajack list? a vortex pack? that and i need a nexus premium account to download. So whats the point of paying your patreon exactly? for knowing the mod selection you made
Stopped playing Skyrim like 4 years ago and was expecting Starfield to be the replacement but I'm so disappointed with it, but I'm not sure if I want to go back to Skyrim either- ended up just sticking to Baldur's Gate 3 but I'm almost done with my second playthrough and getting kinda burned out on it.
I think Bethesda should've better gave us option to download and install mod packages right from main menu instead of some armor for horses. You know, just "Skyrim total overhaul" with a list of a mods, added and all that user must do is to click "download"
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. The magic that was skyrim modding has been lost to me in recent times with these wabbajack mod lists that I couldn't get into, ENB features and things about SSE that never felt integrated into the modding scene (SSE's volumetric lighting, terrain parallax, etc.) -- All I wanted was a simple list of Graphical mods to be able to enjoy the game again like it's 2014 and i'm running around with Opethfeldt ENB. But this is even better and more cohesive. I can't WAIT to experience my first playthrough with this setup after many years of having put the game down. Cheers friend, and happy adventuring!

U guys really need to start stating if this is for console or pc in the thumbnail
Well done on the video easy to follow and the visuals look spot on.
What rig are you using, resolution and fps?
Nice modlist.. i like my mod list more true to vanilla, but this is so pretty.
I love veydosebrom regions! It’s so so good.
This is amazing, will it work on console?
Sir, I don't think your "vanilla" skyrim aligns with my "vanilla" skyrim...
What graphic card are you using to make the mods? I find if you don't keep graphic card equal with the mod maker it causes problems with the game.
nah i don't think my pc can handle all these enhancements
The ENB is gonna have the most impact on performance. You could replace it with the Community Shaders series instead. It won't have all of the features but is much more performant.
What version of Skyrim do you use?
My worry is what kind of rig do you need in order for the game to still be playable with all these visual mods, it looks amazing in video, but I'm wondering how does it play?
a gpu with 10 to 16gb of vram, cpu in accordance with the GPU, and at least 16 to 32 gb of ram.
@@honinakecheta601 so I should get consistent 60fps with my i9 14900kf and my 4070 with 32gb of ram?
@@icanttiemyshoe9005 Dude... yes, you have a great rig. Most modlist you will get consistent 60fps and if you don't the lowest you'd get is prob in the fifties.
@@honinakecheta601 ok great thanks for the info
when next skyrim rerelease? And 30 or 60 bucks?
I wonder how many next gen skyrims are going to happen before people move on from the game. And yes im also talking about Bethesda who also wont move on from the game.
You probably won't but can you do one for console?
''do it in a way that stays true to skyrim og vision'' *shows GOT dragons* smh. They do look fire tho
👀
@2:16 does he actually carry a log by himself? Skyrims Endboss?
In before Bethesda repackages all these mods in a new iteration of Skyrim to sell you.
Bro did not cook… he created art…
Really complex, I had no idea what I was doing. Discord was no help either. Guess I will have to stick to vanilla Skyrim.
At this point I'm just watching these videos to suffer, as I'll never be able to use a setup like this
