We've been shooting with the GoPro Karma for a couple weeks and so far we're stoked with the results! Here is a quick tutorial showing how you can use Auto Shot Paths to get the goods quickly and easily!

I like that you showed the settings you used for the orbit shot; I don't see many people doing that in their tutorials. I definitely need to play with the types of shots you showed here.
I just purchased the Hero 6 with the Karma drone. I’m practicing on the remote only and I’m a bit nervous. This video has been very helpful. Wish me luck man:)

What do you do when the menu icon for auto shots is greyed out? I haven't been able to get to any of the auto shots with my Karma drone.

Nice clear vid! On cable-cam mode, can you change elevation between the two points? i.e. point A is 10 feet then it automatically raises up to point B which is 50 feet?

Nice video! I had my Karma for 3 days. On Sunday it lost connection with the controller and started heading back. About 50 feet from us it decided to stop and just free fall. GoPro is investigating what happened with the flight logs. Have you had. Issues with it going in and out with the controller and flickering? Mine would have a purple car come up at the bottom every once in awhile. I'm curious if others have that issue as well.

Brigham Yates I've had the same problem losing connection. start 2days ago. I was flying the karma fine last week. idk what's up with GoPro but this sucks.
Waterlust GoPro didn't tell me the reason but they are going to the replace the drone. Super good customer service.

Is it better to film in 1080p w/Linear or 4K w/Wide. I don't like the fisheye effect but want the highest quality footage at the same time. I'm trying to sell stock footage online, any help on the best settings for flying the karma would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Great Video!
Hey there.... i am doing full speed battery drain test Karma and Mavic Pro. I did the Mavic, do you mind helping?
Waterlust, actually, I would like you to do a similar comparison to this.
Warm temperature 20 degree c to 30 degree c
Speed: full speed/throttle the entire time (very important because it tests the maximum endurance of the flight)
Flight parameter :Fly up 120 meter, fly forward 500 meter, fly right 500 meter, fly back 500 meter, fly left 500 meter, and continue until Karma forced you to return home.
Ideal battery left (for comparison): 15% otherwise we can extrapolate the result.
Result from my Mavic is as follow.
For normal mode, I flew 24 mins, avg speed 9m/s, and distance 12km
For turn offed sensor, i flew 18 mins, avg speed 13.5 m/s and distance 13km
Sport mode, not tested.
Thanks a lot for helping. Most people get 16 mins on normal use of Karma before it is forced to land. I would like to know how Karma full endurance performed in compared to its major competitors.

I'm going to start using ProTune. Will I need to convert the Protune footage using GoPro Desktop to use in an editor app like FCP X or Sony Vegas Pro?
No, you will just import your gopro video files directly into FCPX

Have you had any issues with it losing GPS signal or other communication glitches? I've read a lot about it being rather finicky and not detecting the toggle stick, etc.
Thanks for your time. I'm just confounded by how many reports there are of the drone drifting considerably and losing communication and it falling out of the sky. I know user error is a factor but I'm trying to weigh out between the Karma and the DJI 4 Pro or the DJI Mavic. Got thoughts?

What if there’s an object in the way? It has no sensors ...
I have a DJI Spark and regret not getting the GoPro Karma. Karma is way better!!!!
I have updated everything....no Auto Path options even available to me. I'm missing out, not happy.
Thanks for the reply, I'll absolutely follow up. Hmmmm, is it possible that you can ONLY see the Auto Path Options AFTER the Drone is airborn? I hadn't used mine for a couple months, the updates were all new (in fact, I didn't even know about ANY of the Auto Path options). Maybe you can't get to the options until after the drone is in the air. That's my next troubleshooting step (because I see you hitting a button that is there on my remote.....but its not something I can click on). Its basically greyed out.....not an active selection. I hope to check that soon. Thanks
