Hi friends,
I am super excited to connect with you all with my new series, " Musically Yours, GV".
In this specially curated series, I intend to explore and share with you many ideas, notions and thoughts that I am classifying under three all-encompassing categories:
Inspirations, Experiences and LyricScope
In this episode I register with great gratitude and love, the inspiration that MS Amma has been in my life and music.
A musician like her is an inspiration for generations, as her music has a way of touching our hearts and souls.
It’s remarkable, the way she has influenced musical journey of hundreds of musicians and millions of Rasikas across the globe and continues to do so.
INSPIRATIONS:
Each source of inspiration leaves an ever-lasting mark on our lives, guiding us toward contentment and truthfulness. From mentors who have imparted invaluable guidance to friends who have offered unwavering support, everyone I had the good fortune of interacting with, has taught me
lessons in self-discovery.
I have always been fascinated by Nature with its boundless beauty and timeless rhythms. It is my firm belief that few things inspire one as much as Nature, be it the awe-inspiring majesty of a mountain peak or the gentle flow of a river, or the tranquil stillness of a forest. Nature reminds me of the interconnectedness and the importance of living in harmony with the world around us.
Life itself is the greatest teacher offering profound insight and wisdom to one who is humble enough to accept and embrace every moment of triumph
and adversity alike. I continue to evolve on my journey which guides me towards a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.
EXPERIENCES:
Reflecting and reminiscing on the journey of life, I am happy to share the wonderful experiences that have shaped me and molded me into the person that I am today.
Each encounter has provided me with clarity and purpose and helped me cultivate empathy and understanding of others. It is my greatest fortune that
my profession has enabled me to meet people from varying backgrounds with many of whom I have forged deep connections. Some of them have
helped me discover hidden strengths and a genuine passion for life.
In this remarkable life odyssey, I have been blessed with wisdom gained from these myriad experiences evolving me into a more compassionate person.
LyricScope:
Many of you are familiar with the LyricScope series that we presented earlier. I was overwhelmed and humbled by the love, affection, and support you rasikas gave us when we first offered it. I am delighted to inform you that we are planning to come up with a more creative and improvised version. It is a fascinating attempt to explore the minds of great composers and get a glimpse into the creative process and their innate genius. It is not merely an intellectual exercise but a deeply personal experience for me.
Each composer brings a unique perspective, experience, and emotions that they have successfully translated into immortal verses that continue to resonate, inspire, and elevate genuine music lovers of this great musical art form.
A wise man once remarked that it is neither the destination nor the journey that is important; It is the company that matters.
So with you all rasikas and friends, I wish to embark on this wonderful and illuminating journey, cherishing every moment.

Starting with the Navavarana Dhyana Kriti was the cherry on top.. MS Amma's rendition of Dikshitar's krithis are not as mainstream in comparison to her tyagaraja and annamacharya krithis. Thank you so much for the series ma'am 🙏🙏

I would like to quote one incident i read somewhere which happened a few decades ago; MS amma had ended the concert and it was past midnight, a couple from a far off village reached the venue after the concert and were disappointed as the concert was over; much to their surprise MS amma sat again and sang for them for some good time, what an amazing gesture from the Supreme Star of Carnatic Music, by awarding Bharat Ratna to MS amma, the value of Bharat Ratna increased and surely not otherwise, MS amma continues to live through her unparalleled music 🙏🙏🙏

Yes as child I used to cry hearing the words rama rama rama eni(ennaganu panthuvarali) even without knowing the meaning of those words Such was the powre of the bhav when dhe sings
