    SubhanAllah. Beautiful poetry and signing; though I could not understand all the words, it made my heart crying out with the love of Allah. May the love of Guru Nanak (May Allah bless him) flow in our lives. Ameen.

    Fantastic Divine rendition by MS Subbulakshmiji. This Holy Hymn is written by 5th Guru Arjan Devji, though each of 10 gurus of Sikhism is Nanak, but in line of descendance, they have been named separately to show, how holy light of God from Guru Nanak Dev ji transited to second, third ...and upto 10th Guru Gobind Singh ji, then ultimately immersed in Guru Granth Sahab ji.holy book of Sikhs.

    Absolutely stunning rendition of Shri Guru Nanak's shabad. Amma is a true legend and living example of teachings. No need to debate about covering the head - the one whose mind is covered from ill thoughts is the person who has shown greatest respect to the teachings

      very true. traditions are like cloths different cloths of different people. but mind is the like the body. body os alike for all humans. be it europian or american or african. so if the mind is pure no need to follow traditions. god can see right through the person whose heart and mind is pure

    Amazing to listen to. Though as a Tamilian could not understand the language, must say, the raag, her melody and some common Indian words thanks to Sanskrit could enjoy. Pranams to great Gurujis.
    As far covering the head - as per tradition - one from south says here - women in the south won't cover their heads.
    But it may be recalled what our former President Smt Pratibha Patil said that it is only to protect themselves from the invading mogul animals - did women in the north started the practice. Her frank revelation stirred a controversy among the pretending secular brigades.

    This Shabad is by Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Raag Saarang on Pannaa 1218 of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib - Sikh Scripture
    saarag mehalaa 5
    Saarang, Fifth Mehla:
    t(h)aakur thumh saranaaee aaeiaa
    O my Lord and Master, I have come to Your Sanctuary.
    outhar gaeiou maerae man kaa sa(n)saa jab thae dharasan paaeiaa
    The anxiety of my mind departed, when I gazed upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.
    Sidenote: Sikhs require that we always keep our heads covered especially when singing GuruBani - Bani by Guru!

    there are many many ways of singing gurbani and in many accents, the guru's name legacy is too great and his popularity is too wide spread to be restricted by narrow consideration like someone claiming it is imperfect enunciation ... just shows his/her inability to understand gurbani. anyway it is written by more than 80 saints form all over the country... and who are we to decide how it MUST be read...
    anyway wonderful post...thanska lot...

    Nothing like MS amma's songs.Just like Kumara swami circles the entire world and returns to his parents feet,realizing it is the bramhanda.I dont know why but I try to listen to everything,but my ears can only listen to MS amma indefenitely.And MS amma is a wonderful goddess!!!

    @singhassar i agree that we were born nude , but covering head is not something spiritual but a way to keep our hair clean and free of dirt and its also to keep our places clean and making others equally comfortable ..a place were all rich or POOR or one who could not afford shampoos and stuff can sit together .its a way to look clean and tidy ,,,if u call it a rule of worship"worship is not the right word actually" then its not without a reason ,,,know the facts before denying them ,, thanks

      Cover your head but keep your midriff exposed...what nonsense. This nonsense of pallu odhana is not south tradition. Covering the entire body and wearing saree kaccha is our tradition.

    We were born naked it is universal truth but now we are wearing cloths.It is sikh tradition to cover your head while singing in gurudwaras or holy samagams.While Amma sung the shabad beautifully.God bless her and group.

      Who cares whether she has covered her head or not...you are missing the wood for the trees...her rendition of this shabad is divine. Pay attention to that...not unnecessary things.

    so then i dare you to walk in a gurdwara with ure head naked? and if we were born naked then y dont u walk around society naked? SIkhs have a rehat - or rules and code of conduct that must be followed. ALL must follow it when doing something Sikhi related. These rules were created for a reason.

    • @madhavkopalle
      @madhavkopalle 4 роки тому +11

      Rules were created by men. Guru Nanak always looked at pure heart than these ostentatious. Thats he createx a path to move aqay from traditional hindu rituals and ostentatious behaviour. He would have never turned or scorned at AMMA if he was alive today.

    • @prs2106
      @prs2106 4 роки тому +4

      Nanak revolted against ridigity of rules by orthodox Hindus. Why are you trying to impose ?
