    To copy and assemble the parts for that birdhouse are interesting for sure, but can you just imagine the thought process that had to go into the original build of that piece. Not many today would go to all the trouble to build a birdhouse that ornate. Yes, there are some, but I would bet the number would be small.
    Anyway, congratulations on a fine build. And be sure to pay the hired help scale. LOL

    good job, may I say to you, that when I take on a BIG birdhouse job...like this one...i cut out enough for Four of them...when I have all of them cut out...then I assemble them...now you have Four times the houses, and lot more money to take in. $$ try it next time on anything you want to make. remember...double up or quadrupole your cuts $$.

    Dude...Just ran into your channel...Anybody who says they're not a woodworker by trade and can do that without plans, I'd love to see what you could do if you're a professional! Subbed! Btw, just out of curiosity, if you made that same birdhouse in cedar but just made the holes 1 1/4" in diameter, what would you honestly charge even if you're not being rushed? I'm interested...

    • @TheWoodworkingHack
      @TheWoodworkingHack  4 роки тому

      Thanks for the kind words. I suppose if I did a lot of these and had all of my jogs and template made, it wouldn't take that long to build. I would probably charge 200-250. But that is the problem, there aren't a lot of people that would spend 200 bucks on a bird house when they can order one from amazon for 20 bucks. made in china by a robot.

    Please use the radial arm saw correctly to cut dados! Set it up to pull through the wood. Absolutely not correct to push the saw through. Also, Make one long piece of lattice and the others and then cut to the right length. It will shorten time spent. Very nice end result!
