Its a great story that will inspire other small business owners to keep moving forward. We sell them too - just as well built and they are not as expensive as these....It would be great to see Americans sell American Made at a fair price so they can adjust that pricing during harder times. We do and we are proud to do so. Plus all of ours are made by a US Army Disabled Veteran. Good to see the hope that is ahead for us.
Have you written a book about your history? If you have I would sure love to buy a copy!! Just like many others, I am surely impressed your story. I live in AZ, but I would also love to fly out to meet you and tour your business. Thanks for this video!
Such a cool video and story, Bruce! It's amazing what people can figure out when they're not willing to sacrifice quality but need to figure out efficient ways to make things!
Such a great interview. Amazing to see such a success story and hear how they have pivoted multiple times over the years and still kept to their root business. What a cool story. Awesome shop too. That silo office is really cool, and a genius idea for a business. Thanks for sharing this Bruce.
This is very inspiring! Awesome to see him pivot directions to survive but still sticking to his roots. Gives me hope that you can make it even in tougher times! Awesome interview Bruce
Appreciate it! I agree, seeing them stick to what they know and keep making things by hand when everyone else around them does it differently, was so huge!
Great interview, Bruce. I love seeing fulfilled American dream stories like this. Looks like a fun place to walk through. I'd love seeing one come together from milling to final paint job.
Maybe I can do that as a follow up. They make so many, I think there are often days between the milling and final. They have different stations that are always working on a particular section, depending on orders they have for that week.
Heartwood's handmade birdhouses make great gifts! Find them here: eheartwood.com/
I could listen to Larry talk about woodworking for hours. Amazing company and amazing video. Great work Bruce!!!
Thanks, Jeremy! Larry is awesome! He’s just a natural on camera. I didn’t even have to edit him much!
