- 🇺🇸🇨🇳 NYC! This has to be one of the coolest places on planet Earth. Despite being from the US, this is actually my first time here, and I must say, NYC is like no other city in the US, nor like no other city in the world. It's crazy diverse, busy, and exciting. You can be in a mini "China" one hour in a place like Flushing, and go somewhere else for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely be back in the future! I hope you enjoy as well.

Your mastering of this difficult language is literally impressive dont ever forget it due to less practicing.. continue using it, like when you were working in vietnam. You should have a work even freelancing because of the travelling. In my opinion its incredible that you are very very good in urdo, vietnames, chinese and of course english, and you should make use of that dont forget because theres little practicing

Ha I love how Max snuck paid the first guy. I love your videos, really enjoy the wholesome and fun content. And I mean this nicely but unlike some polygot YTBers who just learn a few phrases then HEAVILY edit it to make it look like a conversation, you keep your shots and edits long and also show the words/phrases you aren't positive of instead of pretending you do. But you also do actually know the languages but I respect your edit and explaining if you said something wrong and also adding in some cultural important notes on the vids about why you or why someone said or did something in a certain way (like on this one the scroll regarding weather and temperatures of food/drinks & the cultural aspect for Chinese folks around it and how to avoid getting sick etc). Long way to say - thank you for vids and I enjoy your content. Keep it up!

It's easy for you to learn Cantonese since you are already fluent in Mandarin and Vietnamese(Northern). Cantonese is quite similar to Northern Vietnamese accent.

Hey Chris and Max. Welcome to NYC. What time was this? I was on the Main street and Kissena blvd around 4 pm 12/5....Be careful in this area, my wife got her cell phone stolen last year by a b guy. You can try some Vietnamsese food like Pho, cha gio, banh mi at Pho Bang Restaurant just around the corner of Main st and Kissena blvd. Take the subway to Rockefeller center (midtown). You will like it..lot of cool things to be seen on the Xmas season.

Edit: 武汉热干面不用花生酱。用芝麻糊。 My in-laws used to run a little hot dry noodle shop. When I moved back to the States I used to substitute with peanut butter and it works rather well but eventually I found a store that sold sesame paste and black vinegar and it was off to the races.

I actually studied under a Chinese Chef in Culinary School. But, I only know how to make American Chinese food. I saw a video of a tour of France and saw a couple eating at a French Chinese Restaurant, very different from America. I guess the Chinese Restaurateur businessman learns to match their food to the population.

A lot of them don't have a clean past, and that's why. Obviously, this interviewer is not as street smart as xiaomanyc in Flushing.
They come to your country for a living, by whatever means. And they don't expect be your language scrutinizer or you to be his visa officer.
It's not so much that the Chinese being ignorant. It is because it is in New York City.
