Love this series. I'm curious about the fitness industry in Japan. Can you do something along the lines of day in the life of a Japanese gym owner/ bodybuilder / fitness model/ influencer?. Keep up the awesome videos
Watching this while eating some breakfast before I go to Nagoya. Your videos helped on my wait to enter Japan to study, and watching them here now is just beautiful.
I admit that when I first came to live in Japan I absolutely hated natto. I could not even handled the smell of it . Now, I could not start my day without it. A small bowl of hot rice and natto with raw egg stir into it is a perfect breakfast meal for me .
First time I had it, I just... couldn't, not sure why. At some point 4 years later, I was curious to try it again and was "Oh my God, this is so good!" The mustard was what made the difference for me and the hint of smokiness. I bought a variety of natto and the ones that didn't come with mustard was edible, but not amazing.
@@shamidkpzd If it's the slimy texture, the are non-slimy ones now, like one of the varieties they make at this place. I actually don't prefer it because it taste just like eating (boiled/steam) beans on rice. In 2014 when I first had it, the texture was also one of the factor I couldn't get past but 6 years later I actually prefer the slimy texture. My theory is maybe back then it was unknown but since my body didn't react unfavorably to it and maybe even benefit from it, my brain might've greenlighted natto as 'safe'. That said, I also liked mushrooms and mochi, foods that one friend of mine considered 'slimy' and does not touch.
I also eat it quite frequently- when I first had it in Japan I didn’t even know what it was. I just like beans, so between the rice, sauce and scallions it was delicious. Makes a simple, healthy dinner as well.
My teen went the other way. The first time they had natto when we lived in Japan they were about 4 years old. I didn't like it, but I didn't say anything when they had a natto roll with their set meal one day. They loved it. We bought it for them a lot. They still liked it until they were... about 10. Now they don't like it any more.
Always love to hear your introduction to every video. Life is so much easy and light when you have a mom that's always by your side and father too off course.

I love natto and watching the production makes me appreciate it even more. Been a while since I've seen a stress-free work environment for Japanese folks. The synergy is fantastic. Co-workers of different ages but working harmoniously. Great vid!
It always blows my mind how much time, care and diligence the Japanese community put into everything..food, cars, delivery, transportation, everything. So amazing,
Didn't realize there were so many different types of natto! While I buy it from our local H-mart & there are some small taste/texture differences of the brands, I haven't seen an actual 'variety' of bean types. I would love to try them all!

@@StrangerHappened i wanna suck his natto if you know what i mean :)
I am a university instructor, but I find myself jealous of this man's life. It's so predictable and satisfying in its own way and people find great joy from natto.
Aunties aren’t fooling anyone they go to see the cute Natto guy at the counter 😂😂
right?😂 they even brought gifts
I was thinking the same thing..
I thought they were flirting with him, at first
That was completely my thought as well.
I mean, he's really cute, I'd be a patron too
Excellent video! My mom makes natto in Argentina!
She has a two person operation, her and my dad. I like the idea of home made specialty manufacturing.
You can't beat homemade goods.
Saludos desde Buenos Aires ! 🎈
Kazu and his friends were probably one of the most welcoming ones in this series, massive W 🗿
His mom too
Kazu and his mom are absolutely adorable, his friends seem so fun to be around especially the rapper guy.
does kazu have any socials?
Dude works in every area of the store and is so relaxed. Good way to be.
I love these chilled tactile professions where people actually produce something tangible in the end. very nice
Love this series. I'm curious about the fitness industry in Japan. Can you do something along the lines of day in the life of a Japanese gym owner/ bodybuilder / fitness model/ influencer?. Keep up the awesome videos
Just look up Hidetada Yamagishi
I haven't seen one day in the life where the person goes to the gym during the day they usually just overwork themselves
You Tuberのmarina takewakiさんが日本で一番有名だと思います。
@@minority86 Lol look at one of his first day in a life videos. The girl literally leaves work during the day to go to the gym.

Watching this while eating some breakfast before I go to Nagoya. Your videos helped on my wait to enter Japan to study, and watching them here now is just beautiful.
That's awesome!
@@PaolofromTOKYO yes! I waited for 2 years and now my dreams are coming true.
Great, where did you come from ? I am also in that plan, I still need to figure out the requirements from my country.
@@xagonianaturalx Very happy for you. How long are you going to be studying there? And what are your first impressions?
@@PaolofromTOKYO this videos are amazing. Thanks 🙏
Thank you.
These kinda videos from Paolo are probably the best.
Wishing the best to his family.
My main thing is the texture. I don’t mind the taste, but I can’t get past the texture.
It is so nice to see a small business production instead of industrialised one. Thanks Paolo. I'm a fan of you day in the life series. Keep it up!
Always love to hear your introduction to every video. Life is so much easy and light when you have a mom that's always by your side and father too off course.
This was a very interesting window view of a smaller business, I hope you will do more of these in the future! I really enjoyed this one, thank you for posting! ♥
Love this series. Gives an eye-opening view to different professions in Japan, which personally have always been extremely curious about. Love natto and try to increase it in my diet, so this was great! Keep up the great work!
Would love to see more videos on the day of the life of: doctors in private practice, doctors in teaching hospitals, kindergarten school teachers, nursery school teachers, sushi chefs at tsukiji fish market, fishermen at tsukiji fish market, takoyaki makers, anime creators, animation assistants, bankers, and ryokan managers. Thank you!
For a mega global city like Tokyo, I really love watching these small businesses serving their local community
what a cool mom. he's lucky to have her
The mom needs to drop her skincare routine rn LOL skin be immaculate
Probably eating healthy as many japanese eat whole foods
I have so much respect for these workers! So hard to work in the heat and constantly moving... So much knowledge to do this is amazing! 😍
The walkability of Japanese urban areas is very nice to see.
What a great small business! Traditional yet so modern at the same time.
he is so different ~ 1) he stay in heart of Tokyo.. I saw many ppl could not stay there ... 2) he is a writer and now a natto maker..special .. 3) he work stop at 5.30... many ppl work up to midnight .. he seem good looking etc ... he is just so different and special
I love this series, it's really cool to see how people in Japan live their lives

it's incredible that he handles so many different tasks in one day. from all the technical knowhow that goes into making natto to interacting with customers at the front. maybe the store needs to hire more lol.
I love your day in life series. Please keep making!!!
I love natto and watching the production makes me appreciate it even more. Been a while since I've seen a stress-free work environment for Japanese folks. The synergy is fantastic. Co-workers of different ages but working harmoniously. Great vid!
love every part of this series.. positivity..the vibe..other culture..good job recording it
Living with your parents is so underrated👀💕 it's awesome and financially liberating🥰
I wish I could do that. But you’re expected to move out after high school in my country 😢
I really love watching A Day in the Life series, even the other videos. It's not only fun to watch but educational. 😄
It always blows my mind how much time, care and diligence the Japanese community put into everything..food, cars, delivery, transportation, everything. So amazing,
These "day in the life vids" are always fun and informative
Didn't realize there were so many different types of natto! While I buy it from our local H-mart & there are some small taste/texture differences of the brands, I haven't seen an actual 'variety' of bean types. I would love to try them all!
This working environment is so different from a more traditional Japanese business and refreshing to see!
If you think about it, this type of work IS traditional. It's the post-modern work environment that changed Japan.
@@trinicade7574 I guess you're right, but if I hear traditional I think big firms with very strict hierarchy when it comes to Japan.
If you look at the car mechanic’s a day of work, it should be the one closest to real Japan now..
@@Fabio-ql5yf that's absolutely false. Considering how deeply rooted the respect for higher rank is seated in Japanese culture.

Love this series so much! Awesome video! Can you do a day in life of a structural engineer? There're so many earthquakes strike Japan, and it'd be interesting to see how structural engineers in Japan design buildings and bridges to survive in some of the massive earthquakes.
Love these! Other jobs I would love to see in Japan: Teacher/Professor, Nurse/Doctor/Healthcare worker, Artist
What i really admire about japanese are their passion and cleanliness
Long time fan here! I usually don’t comment on UA-cam but I gotta show some love and let you know this is definitely one of my favorite channels on here. Loving all the videos keep up the great work! Much love from Dallas, Texas
Thank you Paolo, I love the look and feel of cozy Japanese neighborhoods, houses, small businesses, train stations... it's so nostalgic to me! I need to go back to Japan some day.

I love how there's an electric guitar just sitting randomly in the corner of the little office. I mean, with everything going on, when does one have time to play? Are they shredding some crazy natto inspired riffs for customers?
Another educational and fun video. Truthfully, your videos convey such a personal feeling with each one I watch. Keep up the excellent work!
I’m secretly hoping that guitar is used for natto songs
Well not gonna lie, he's indeed sweet. But, then a dialogue from his mom, "he's sweet" OMG, I'm right. Yes, looks like his sweetness comes from his long hair that covers some of the part of his face. I was long-haired too just like him, but felt so awful and kinda stifling that's why i cut my hair (ngl, it looked so sweet when I smiled). Nice video Paolo, we enjoy it!
This one has to be my favorite video so far. I love that it covered a job unique to japan.
