I wish your video was longer. Since I was a kid I have loved looking at chickens and guinea. My grandmother had both and my mother had chickens when I was little and I liked hearing their sounds and watching their movements. I always loved seeing their behavior when the sun was going down. They all seemed to know where they need to go to roost.
The hatching is definitely fun, but starting with keets that are a few days old is awesome as well. I hatch mine to keep up with the replacement rate on these guys. Much higher than chickens!
They usually start laying right around 6 months, sometimes sooner if the spring is really warm. They usually lay every 24-48 hours depending on the bird. If they are free range they will hide their community nests preferably in the grass or inside of dense bushes, so the nests are really hard to find. If you are looking for one you can usually find it by the male standing outside the entrance.
If you are adding them to your flock then you can keep them in a covered cage/pen that they can see each other through for a about a week, then introduce them when you can supervise. I do this with all of my birds.
I like the way the hens and guinea are getting along and not fighting.
They are pretty good! The guineas stop any altercations between the roosters too. They are like little police birds.

That's awesome! Yeah it's really neat how they all know when it's time to go to bed. I love their little songs when they go to sleep.
This is so funny! Thanks for filming from Germany :D
THEY LOOK SO CUTE ! . 😊😊
Cool video I had 40 IN a incubator and 32 hatched!! THANKS FOR SHOWING YOUR BIRDS!!😁😉
I'm in Maryland and we're about to build a coop for Guinea. is there an advantage to starting from egg, instead of with keets?

When do they start laying eggs and is it one egg per 24 hours like chickens? No one seems to give that information

@@tamrielacres2178 It's like we make them neighborhood friends first then let them mix 😅.... Thank you so much, Tamriel!
hello, do the guinea fowls go to the nest to lay their eggs like the hens do? or they also lay eggs outside the nest ?
guinea hens lay communally, so they put all the eggs in the same nest generally
So whose eggs are those in that last box?
Guineas lay their eggs together with other guinea and chicken eggs. Hard to know who's is who's!
